8 Die in Shooting at Jerusalem Seminary By ARON HELLER, AP Posted: 2008-03-06 17:51:58

JERUSALEM (March 6) - A gunman entered the library of a rabbinical seminary and opened fire on a crowded nighttime study session Thursday, killing eight people and wounding nine before he was slain, police and rescue workers said. It was the first major militant attack in Jerusalem in more than four years.

THIS SHOULD MATTER TO YOU AND ME BECAUSE: YOU WON'T SEE IT HEADLINED HERE, AND ISRAEL IS OUR ONLY TRUE ALI. THE ATTACKS ON OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF THE JEWISH FAITH ARE INCREASING AT AN ALARMING RATE, EVEN AMONG OUR OTHER SO-CALLED ALLIES.

AND ONE MORE REASON...I'M BLOGGING ABOUT SOMETHING OTHER THAN HIGHWAY 199!

I am 100% for Israel. I am sure that Israel will respond in kind. Retribution is high on the list for Israel. I'm just wondering when this false 3-1/2 year peace will commence.

Scotty: Are you speaking Biblically or currently when you speak of the 3.5 Yr. "peace"?

Mom: I didn't get a chance to put much detail in. It was the usual Gaza thing. Israel has been dealing with what we call "terrorism" for centuries. While some see Israel as a brute force that over reacts, the truth is after a few hundred years, you occasionally get frustrated. Yes, I put those two terms together: "terrorism" and "a few hundred years". Perhaps this is why President Bush said at the onset "We are in this for the l-o-n-g haul.

It doesn't matter to us (as a nation) other than being Isreal's puppet masters we may be the future target. If we were to return to a constitutional government, it would not be a concern.

Let see,

They forcibly took land and homes from others to create their own country, kind of like what we did? But ours was a discovery, and their right? "" IF "" the same thing happened to US and THEM as we both did to others, think there would not be any hard feelings?

They were SECERTLY given NUKES, YEARS, after EVERYBODY in the world agreed NOBODY ELSE could every get or have them? So if those making agreements and their partners can change the rules or not follow them, why is it wrong when nobody else believes they have to follow them either?

Sadly this violence and death will continue, and BOTH SIDES ARE DOING IT! How is it the " CHOSEN ONES " are having so much trouble? Is not the " ALMIGHTY " all powerful and all knowing? With that kind of support and backing, why is it they need anybodies help? Can the " CHOSEN ONES " violate the 10 Commandments, at will, without any accountability? Does an Eye for an Eye only apply to the " Chosen Ones", or can those being killed by them use the same self serving justification? When we support them, we and they claim it to be justifiable, when others support the other side it is called supporting terrorism, WHY?

Much like our own history of disgrace with those here before us. Where those Indians that were trying to protect their way of life and their lands, while seeking revenge against US, we who stole their lands while massacring ENTIRE villages from the Elderly, men, women and infants! Where they Terrorist or Freedom Fighters?

The only truth is, violence begets violence, no matter how one side justified it

Scotty: This is what I thought. I don't know how to explain that, in 500 words or less, to the other commenter’s, here. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Hamas has called the attack courageous and praised it. What faith other than the one attacking celebrates death? Thank God we live in America.

You'd think what with all the myriad setbacks that eventually peace will come, albeit a false one. I beliieve we'll be gone before that occurs, which makes for a tad more excitemment as far as a Return.

"A little knowledge is a dangerous thing."

So, so true! it causes a lot of people to think we should (and have a right) just ignore our own Constitution and interfere in whatever other sovereign nations business we want.

Rusty
I can answer this question of yours.

Terroist or hero.

If the bottomline of a group is to be free so that they may control others ( women etc) then they are terroists.

If the bottomline of a group is to free people up so that they may worship aanyway they please THEY ARE HEROS.

GRayW,
Have to disagree with you on this one

When you are #1 there comes with that more repsonsibility.

And I enjoy as I am sure you do, living in the #1 country.

We have to, we must have our hands in others business.

People are going to hate us because we are #1.

Its better to be #1 and hated than # ??? and ignored

UCHTT,

Who gave us the right to KILL, to force others to live as we see fit? In our country we HAVE EVERY right to do as our people demand. Who gave us the right to do so outside our country? Does might make it right? So if other could force their will and beliefs upon us, you wouldn't fight back???

How is it the youngster of the world, US at a mer 200+ year old, can dictate to those who have been around for THOUSANDS OF YEARS?

Having worked in that part of the world, I can say I DON'T agree with many of their customs or beliefs, BUT IT AN'T MY BUSINESS! It is their country and way of life, NOT MINE!

UCHTT,

How many children have been killed by both sides? How is one right and the other wrong? Where they celibrating the death of children, or the act of revenge to the death of their own children??? Either way those KILLED can't hear any of the BS on either side THEY ARE DEAD!

Would YOU seek revenge for the taking of your country, home and the KILLING of your wife and child? How would you feel if later you found out your actions killed a child, could you justify that to your self?

This has been a mess FOR YEARS, and BOTH SIDE carry blame! I don't have the answer, but I can see the wrongs ON BOTH SIDES, how is that not honest???

I'm about as involved as one can be in my community. I live suburban life through the families I minister to.I endured 27 years as a broadcaster, and in that time I learned to appreciate the power one can have in the newsroom. I have also seen that power abused. ...So I blog!
