After a week of looking for a computer, my hubby, bless his heart, went to a store and bought one. Once he got home, he proudly bragged at the great deal he got. He also got this 50.00 rebate..boy was he excited..But wait...He bought it on the 29th of June, and as he looked at the reciept, it was printed that the rebate expired on June 30th...What is wrong with this picture...? Was it just another misprint or just another lying salesman?
He just left here, to go face the manager about the "great deal" he got...He told me if they dont lower the price by the 50.00, he is going to make them take it back. I cant wait to see how that turns out.
In the meantime, I am left here to ponder the outcome. Why can't stores just sell the stuff, for the price it is worth. Why do they try to trick people into thinking they got a great deal, especially when they know they will loose business, for lying and cheating us. Just put the dadgum price on there, back your product, and above all QUIT pushing extended warranties (you dont back the original warranty to start with), "sale" prices, and junk product...If it is worth 1000.00, sell it for a 1000.00. If the warranty is good for one year, back the warranty. Quit ripping us off. This is a rant and yes it is news worthy..We Americans are tired of getting our money ripped off instead of getting our money's worth. Bad enough we have to put up with all the other rip offs of life.
The store's name rhymes with BUY'S ( not Best Buy either). I hope it goes out of business. This isnt the first time I have heard stories about this Super Computer Store. By the time this purchase is over- Poor hubby will have spent a tank of gas, driving back and forth to this retailer, thus making the drive the deciding 50.00...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Weather
I have to admit I LOVE RAIN (in limited quanities).
My garden is in heaven. My grass is greener than it has been in years. It is so wet I havent mowed going on 8 days. It is tough on a lawnmower to mow wet grass. Everytime I get the chance it is raining.Thus....High grass and MUSHROOMS.
I have never grown or planted mushrooms...But they have sprouted up like wildflowers. Little, brown, tiny, delicate, mushrooms..By what seems like hundreds, though it is probably only a few. I mentioned it to someone the other day laughing about it..Today they called and wanted to know how the " Mushroom Farm" was doing.?.
In four days, I now have them in my flower beds, greenhouse, and flower pots. It is tooooo funny..Anyone else out there have this problem? Oh this isnt including the Softball size Mushrooms in the front yard that you commonly see. Is this some kind of strange phenonom? plague of mushrooms? Does this mean my soil is now sterile?Could this be the result of the consistant 1/2 inch of rain a day for the last few days? Yes in Southwest Euless, that has been my measurement for days. Funny, I get more than the airport and I am only 8 minutes west of there.
Back to the Mushrooms.No..they arent the eidible kind.
I can handle this weather all summer long..But , I dont think I want to be a Mushroom Farmer...HAHAHHAA Congratulations to the Forecasters they are 100% correct, with the acception of how much rain where I am..No report..Alas they cant report them all, so let me report at least 1/2 a day for the last several days...

The question I have on this is, Does this sale mean TXU will no longer have to answer to the Public Utility group? Does this mean they are no longer going to be regulated? Does this mean our rates will go up at the will of the new owners? How will this change the way the company is run? Is this a way to get out of the regulatory commission they now answer to? Will the idea to build more coal plants be reviewed by the new owners, then pushed thru because they arent regulated any more? I want to know more about this sale. I have been a faithful TXU customer for 30 + years and do not want to have to again go thru all the inconviences of having to change all the information on all the accounts I have with them..I have now been thru this with Southwestern Bell, Comcast, and the numerous cell companies. I wish just for once, a company would have the deciency to let its customers know, before they "change horses in the middle of the stream" and which direction they are going. I am tired of getting "thrown into the water" everytime they change directions. I think they all need to be more responsible, to the customers, who pay their bills and spend their money for what they "think" they are buying. I did not buy the services of the company that is buying TXU out..Do I have any say in this matter? No. So at the least, I feel it is their responsibility to let me know, when they decide to do things, I did not agree to, when I took their service. I have no legal recourse against these companies that do this. But, I do believe we as consumers, should have a bill of rights, to protect us from greedy companies. What is your thought on Companies that get sold to unsuspecting customers? Is it fair to consumers that have kept up their end of the business agreement, to pay for service from a specific company. Which includes the employees and management as well as the service they provide. Will this "New Ownership" provide me the same service at the same price? Will the same employees and managers be running the "New Company" I am being forced to accept? Is this fair to consumers? Will I be able to renegoatiate my agreement with the new owners? No keeps coming to mind- Any thoughts on this?
It is like hiring a painter and the painter sending you someone else. Someone you didnt hire..

Valentine/
If you bring me chocolate or candy?
You know, that will just be dandy.
I like you just fine.
Now, won't you be mine?
If you bring me flowers and plants,
I cant get past the flies, bugs and ants.
So bring me a long stemmed red rose,
then we wont have to worry, about a little runny nose.
This time you bring me, diamonds so sweet
I remember how nice it is, you are so neat.
I like you so much more, than I ever did before.
What else did you buy, a house with a door?
You gave me a home, so loving and kind
I now know, you would never, leave me behind.
For us, now, is the place and time.
Arent you glad you, are my valentine?
author known(but not telling), just always watching!
Dedicated to my loving husband.

When I was growing up, I was taught old school.
In English class, you were taught to ask, who, what, when, where, and Why, in telling a story.
With that being said, I notice how some people, ask the first four quickly, with great detail. The Why part is always left to your imagination or days later. You may never know the why part of the story. To learn this part, would give lessons in life. I cant stand to miss the "rest of the story".
Examples*;
Why did the little girl not want to sit? Did we know?
Why did Jerry keep T.O? Did he ever say the reason?
Why did the guy that beat his grandparents, do what he did? What did he say about his actions?
*you dont need to answer these questions they are example only
The outcome is always as interesting, as the who, what, where, and when. The why details.
Do you ever wonder how the story ended? If the real question was asked, and you missed, the why?
Do you ever think of stories and dont know how they ended? What is your take? Is there a site you can go, "For the rest of the story"?

I knew things were more expensive in New York, but jimminey cricket..a $50,000.00 bed? It better be hand spun gold, hand made and a 100% money back guarantee with my hubby already in it, before I would spend that much on anything to sleep on. I have slept on some wonderful (and not so wonderful) beds. They didnt cost anywhere near that much. In fact, I bough a whole house of furniture and it didnt cost half that amount. Call me, I will save you big bucks..and I will include shipping..Heck for 50,000 I will even throw in a disposable car..HAHAHA.
Would you spend $50000.00 on a bed? $5,000.00 $1500.00 What is a mattress and box springs worth to you? Is there anything more important than a good night's sleep? Is it worth this much?

Did you hear about the thieves that stole the ATM machine, after driving thru the front window? What a bunch of idiots. The ATM was out of cash! HAHAHAHAHA!
Criminals should be set out in public and made fun of as their punishment.
Then there are the (stupid) gang thieves. The ones that tied the security guard up and stole all the supplies and tools from a job site. Brave thieves threw a rock thru the guard shack.
Now if I were the guard, I would have had my gun cocked and told them, "come on in"!!!HAHA
I hope they run across a security guard, with a gun, that knows how to use it and does. Why didn't the guard shoot the ba_ tards, instead of opening the door..I dont know if he was armed, but, it would have served the thieves right, if he had shot them..And why didnt he call the Police, before, he opened the door..
Was he part of the theift? Something doesn't sound right about this story. I need more detail. Just dosen't add up. He was the security guard. Why was he asleep? Why wasn't he guarding the property he was hired to guard? Any one else have a thought on this? What is the point of having or hiring a sleeping guard?

For two days, the news has been so sad! Is there anyone out there that is Happy?
I actually had to take a break from the news. I got so unhappy thinking about Immigration, Dallas Coach, Weather, Bad foreign relations..Gosh, does anyone get along, anymore, besides the blogger? Well, ok, they dont either...not always. But how about a new subject matter.
What does it take to make you as a human happy?
Are you happy with yourself? your family? your friends?
Do you like the feeling of happiness?
Have you found ways to increase you happiness?
Who is responsible for your happiness?
What do you do when you are happy?
When I am happy, I find myself smiling-at me. It always seems like such an accomplishment.
Do you believe, "When you smile, the world smiles with you"?
When you smile, are you happy?
What makes you happy?

Can you believe this mornings news story title? I absolutely think this is outrageous.
He could have said, many more intellegent things. He lowered himself to a "gang" mentality.
How is this suppose to help our countries work out our differences? Does saying this, help the situation? Does it solve the many problems we have with this country? Did it make this a better world to live in? NO
He is the representative of a country. He should show respect for others countries, even if he disagrees, with a policy presented or the person who presents it.
This action is just disgraceful.
A polite no. A firm no. Use your intellegence and education. This shows a real lack of vocabulary. I understand more each day, why this is called a third world country. To be "Castro's Friend" and acknowledge it, is like admiting you are a communist, isn't it?
