AnnaMan's Blog

by AnnaMan from Anna, TX

Last Post 120 days, 21 hours Ago

Well, we will be able to say, remember when?  Last night, the weather proved to be true to Texas style by going from almost 80 degrees to less than freezing all within a 24 hour period.  As you can see by the photos, here in Anna we received what appreared to be at least 6 inches of wet heavy snow.

It made for a beatiful winter wonderland when we awoke this morning.  Believe it or not, there is still plenty of snow on the ground after a full day of sun and melting.

Well, I will continue to post more on this blog as time permits.  Happy Surfing!

Lucky you! How were the maniacs driving up there with that much snow, or did it affect the roads that much?

Wow, that is alot of snow. More than we got in Denton, our snow melted really really fast. Not a trace left by 3:00.

scottythecomic,

It did affect the roads. When the sun was coming up, (which is when I shot those pics) the residential streets were iced over. However, since I work from home, I didn't have to get out into the mess of things, so I didn't get a chance, thank goodness, to encounter any maniacs, however, I'm sure they were out there.

It's supposed to snow again tonight, we heard it could be a whopper for those living north of McKinney and Denton.

I'll be sure to snap some more pics and upload them.

Chaz09 - Thanks for the comment - Better luck with tonight's storm on the snow in Denton

It's now 2:30 pm on Thursday and we are getting mostly sleet as we are still on this side of the transition line. We are watching Fox 4 News now and they reported that there is already 5" in Gainesville.

Our back windows are 3/4 of the way full of sleet as it sticks to the window and slides down. We are excited to see what this is going to turn into. Now that the sleet is in place, the snow will start to stick immediately when it starts.

Thank God, we don't have to drive anywhere. We hope you all are safe wherever you are.

Yes, nived23, Puxotony Phil must have lied! ha, ha!

No, Al Gore lied!

HaHa We're safe here, thanks.

I am sure there'll be a lot of snow pics before the night/day is over.

Hey, thanks for stopping by! This is me and my beautiful wife of almost 5 years. We enjoy living life to the fullest! There are 3 kinds of people in life... Those that make things happen - Those that watch things happen - and those that wonder - What just happened? Who are you?
