Are you a Rotten Neighbor?

Well, as if there wasn't enough out there for us to worry about... now, there is a website that allows anyone to post anything (good or bad) about their neigbors and pinpoint them on a Google generated satellite map.

The site claims that you can also post information about your neighborhood (again good or bad) to let people know wether they should move their or not. 

Even though I don't have anything bad to say about our neighborhood, I wouldn't want to because it would only cause less people to want to move here which could possibly drive real esate prices down.  As long as I still own a house here, I certainly don't want negative press sending prices spiraling downward... but that hasn't stopped some people from bashing their own neighborhoods on this website.

Apparently there are no rotten neighbors in my town. I started to put my neighbors on there but they scare me

There are a few in my neighborhood that I would not put down either.

LOL - TM and LMK,

It seems we can all think of at least one neighbor that we would want to post on this site. Ha, ha!

I checked a couple of the featured posts from their home page and talk about neighbors bickering at each other... sheesh!

I'll admit that last night i read some of those myself. they made me laugh...i saw one about an elderly man. it said he was mean but then it said he never talks to anyone or waves at anyone. I was like...huh? that makes him mean. there was a response from some funny guy that basically said.the only way to deal with those types of MEAN elderly people is to wall them in while they sleep...things like that. LOL

gee, what a pity they don't have one of these for Blogger Neighbors. We could have it filled in no time. lol

I wonder if this is ever verified? I mean, what if someone just posts a lie about a neighbor because they're small minded twits? Having known several small minded twits (refer back to 1st paragraph), I was curious.

I would look but I am scared - what if I am on there? Oh wait that was the OLD neighborhood, nevermind. ; ) But seriously, got a beef with the neighbors, go TALK to them. THEN if that doesn't work post about them, but make sure it is true...libel and slander can arise if one is not careful. Look at the HOA scuffle in Frisco.....

char & skootz - my wife was thinking the same thing because of course, if someone posts erroneous information about someone else, they could be held liable for defamation of character.

skootz - Great advice. Direct communication usually helps, which is also biblical.

BTW - Not familiar with the HOA scuffle in Frisco... is there a link?

AM - no but I am sure you could find the story on here [last report was about 2 weeks ago?]. Skinny is - 3 people in the HOA thought the board of the HOA was wacked, and posted online to that effect. The HOA is now suing the 3 members of the HOA. Even tho they have emails from one that was more or less a threat. Nice huh?

TM - My doggie! MINE!! *lol* And SHHHHHH no one knows that. Er um no no I wasn't at all, it was an evil plot..yeah that's it ; )

char - Thanks for checking out her blog. She has been working hard on it. Yes, we are Christians :-) And, yes, the book of Revelation is extremely pertinent to our specific times. Did you get a chance to watch the videos posted on her Truthoughts Blog? (I know-shameless plug-oh well, the Truth is important)

skootz - thanks for the skinny - crazy times we live in where someone can sue someone else for no reason at all. The thing that really stinks, is that even though a lawsuit might be frivilous, one must get an attorney, just to get the lawsuit dismissed or the other party wins by default.
