Blame it on the springtime cold snap...that's the only thing I can figure out for the sudden "snap" in my back condition. I've racked my brain. And I was unable to come up with any other reason for the sudden wrenching of my lower back that painfully set in over the snowy, Easter Holiday weekend. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary--went to the gym as usual (and, yes, I stretched before beginning my workout) and other than that got some out-of-the ordinary r&r (maybe it was that unusual move).

Sooo...blame it on the weather! I mean just today our FOX 4 medical reporter, John Hammarley,  told us how our springtime allergies can be aggravated by springtime thunderstorms (click on the health tab and see Hammar's blog about more on that). So why wouldn't the sudden change in temperature suddenly change the condition of my lower back? Oh, BTW, I should mention that I threw out my back last year and spent several days in the hospital under a cloud of possible back surgery...all after I simply bent down to tie my shoes! OUCH!

Nevertheless thanks to modern medical technology, this time around I've been wearing one of those "heat belts." You know the ones with the stones in them that heat up and loosen the tight muscle for up to 8 hours....AHHH!

And I know--because misery loves company--I'm not alone in my "Springtime-Cold-snap achy, back pain"! What about you?

Hey Baron...

Really enjoy your blogs...keep them coming.

Like Chelle my grandmother used to complain of her joints aching when the weather changed. I laughed at her and thought she was just being dramatic. Then a few years ago I broke my arm and had to have surgery. Since then, everytime the weather changes...my arm hurts! Go figure.

It's the weather .... no question!!

Baron, Yes its the weather, everytime it is going to change my knees hurt real bad. And I hope it isn't "old age". At least with you I know it isn"t. With me, I'm not so sure. And I agree with everyone else you do dress real nice.

jaywalkingtx & angelgirl2007...or should I say Dr. jaywalkingtx & Dr. angelgirl2007 :-)...thanks for the reassurances. My back's actually doing a lot better today. Again I really think this "thermal belt" is amazing.

I hope your joints aren't given you too much grief now.

BTW thanks for the kudos on the threads...as you probably can tell, I don't take the duds to seriously! :-)In fact I've got ties and pocket squares from practically everywhere. And jaywalkingtx, I don't think you can go wrong as long as you stay true to yourself and your personal style!

Talk to you soon.

It is so exciting to share my thoughts with YOU through MYFOXDFW.COM and to read all about what YOU have to say about practically any and everything--from family, politics, and games to FOX4NEWS stories. Our blog on MYFOXDFW sets us so far apart from other tv news station blogs because MYFOXDFW is just that--it's personally YOURS & mine. It's another great way for us to communicate...for us to get to know one another. In fact you can think of me as your own personal FOX4NEWS/MYFOXDFW BLOG CORRESPONDENT. So feel free to leave me a comment(s) on my blog at "BARONVONBLOGLOG"...hmmm maybe that should be the name of the tv segment? At any rate there's so much more (ie. photos, my hobbies, etc) that I'll be sharing with you from Baron's world in the days and weeks and years to come. I look forward to hearing from you.
