In my opinion, the Idol Gives Back show last night was another shameful, disgusting experience by the media portraying poverty stricken Africans with life threatening disease to raise money. I have seen and read about poverty stricken Africans with life threatening diseases for over four decades; the only positive results from these fund raising efforts are: increasing the African population; spread of more disease; and increase in poverty. There are poverty, diseases and social issues in America that needs to be addressed. Katrina victims are talked about and treated like they do not belong to the American society. Take a trip to South Dallas or New York City to see the amount of homeless, sick, and poverty stricken people with life threatening diseases that need help.
In Africa, if man can have multiple wives with an average of fourteen to fifteen children, I think they should be able to help themselves.
