NAMING STORMS

Well with it being Tropical Storm weather, and the naming of the storms, I was just wondering if you and your family ever try to take a guess on what the next storm name will be? My family and I always try to see how close we can come to getting the name that it is given.  At least they make it a little easier, we know it goes in alphabetical order and male then female. I believe Faye is what I heard them say the recent one is. Since the next one should be a male name and start with the letter G, my guess will be....hmmmm, maybe George. Anyone else care to take a guess?

If they ever get around to naming a hurricane after Sir Francis Drake then I'm in BIG DO DO!

HAHAHAHAHA, Same here with mine, but they've still got a good long way to go before they get to the letter my name begins with. :)

Well mgm sent me an email about the various uses of WD-40 so I asked her if I could post it here. But where do would a blogger post such a thing as that? Entertainment? Music? News? Traffic? or Faith?

For some reason the only other G name I can thik of is Gomez. I don't think they would name it after The Adams Family. :)

mgm, You never know! You might have hit the nail on he head. :)

Dallas, who knows, we'll just have to wait and see what happens when they get to that letter. Wouldn't you all be surprised if you did guess a correct name? :)

LOL mgm, You can take as many guesses as you want until they announce the name. :) hahahaha, this sort of reminds me of trying to name a baby before it is born. lol

Back2Nature, back in 1982 Hurricane Iwa hit the Hawaiian islands and even though it was only a catagory one Hurricane it did over $250 million dollars worth of damage to the Hawaiian islands.

I remember quite well when Hurricane Iniki hit the island chain. I was working for a large Condominimum on the Windward side of O'ahu. My boss and I were doing some roofing work when Iniki hit and we had winds in excess of 60 mph. We were nailing down shake shingles on top of a three story Condo and my boss and I had to move fast to get off the building or get blown completely off. Trust me that Hurricane was an awakening for thousands of people. There was price gouging for staples such as ice and gas.

I heard that the names of the storms have been "too white" so they need to ... what's the correct term here(?) ... darken up the names.

How about Gunther? Wait, that's German sounding so, too white.

I'm gonna have to go with Gomez that should darken it up some...
