On the Way to Heaven

One day a Jerry, Perry, and Cletus were on their way to heaven.

God told them the stairs to heaven were 1,000 steps and on every step he was going to tell them a joke. If they laughed they would not be able to get to heaven.

So Jerry made it to the 45th step and laughed.

Perry made it to the 200th step and laughed.

But Cletus made it to the 999th step and laughed even before god told his joke.

God asked, "Why did you laugh I haven't even told the joke yet"

Cletus responded, "I know I just now got the first one!!!"

I tell all the comics I Write for to be clever not dirty. I help them to get on the Tonight Show and others, It's what they pay me for. But long before being a comedy writer, I was a musician....You fill in the blanks!

So what ever ya got...BRING IT ON! As long as you tell your friends to check out my blog too!

You know one of my favorite comedians that make me bust out laughing and is not foul mouthed is Bill Cosby. I have one of his shows on tape. I also love Seinfeld. Oh I may be dating myself here (who cares I'm 46) but I used to LOVE Gallager (sp?). I saw Eddie Murphy in concert in Ft. Worth (BTW he is an BLEEP in real life which I got to see [somebody got their arm BROKE because they tried to put a beer on the stage for him]) but I love his movies. I love Beverly Hills Cop. Have that on tape too.

I was kinda a musician at one time. Never for money but I have the ability to pick any instrument and after playing with it for a little bit can play a tune by ear. I was in a band at one time. Would love to buy another saxaphone but dang they are expensive.

If you wanty to hear a great sax player, visit my bands web site www.freeflowingsalt.com click on all the links,each one has a song and some poster, then click on myspace in the yellow box and hear stuff we did in my basement. Ronnie our sax player is really, really great!! The drummer ain't too shabby either!!
