Need Help re Books

I need to buy a large quantity of books.  Just from one author, Jack Higgins.  These can be used books.

My parents home was heavily damaged by Ike.  In fact, the insurance people were there yesterday and they are kicking them out because they found black mold everywhere.  They are having trouble finding a hotel but think they found one 60 miles away.

My Dad's bedroom had the roof blown away and everything in that room was ruined.  He goes to sleep every night reading.  All his favorite books, all by Jack Higgins was on his bed.

I would like to buy a large quantity of Jack Higgins books and thought I would ask my fellow bloggers the best way to do this.  Most books he gets are used so that would not be a problem.  He says there are around 50 from him.  Of course I don't want to buy that many but would like to get a large quantity to replace some of his.

I know there is half priced books but I don't buy many books and thought there may be something else out there.

If any of you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Not sure if those links will work..but go to ebay, and in the search box type in Jack Higgins. There are MANY books and "LOTS" of books..I think I saw one lot of 12 books for 19.95 with free shipping. There are probably alot more......

I fured those links would't post correctly. There are 449 results for Jack Higgins books, and many are in lots of 6 to 12 books.

There is a small book store here in Mesquite that you can take used books in to sell/trade. You can opt to create and account with them and they put a portion of the books value you bring in into the account which you can use on future purchases. I don't remember the percentages they work out, but I think you can use 25%. In other words, if you bought a book for $1.00, you could use 25 cents credit.

Anyway, I have a large credit balance that I am not using that I am willing to transfer a portion of to you or your dad. I asked if they had any Jack Higgens and they said they had 'some'.

I know you have had some health issues so I was not sure you could get to Mesquite. Let me know.

NORTHTX that is so sweet. You keep your credits cause you may need them but that is very generous for you to offer.

I don't know about driving yet. It depends on how much walking I have to do.

Mesquite is not too far from me.

Half Priced Books may have used copies for a decent price.

You would not have to do much walking, it is a small store. (Not sure what you mean about the amount of walking).

I have not used the credit in a couple of years. I have other toys to play with now and have not been reading like I use to.

I apologize ahead of time, but Bella, I TRIED to explain via email how to bid, how to bid NOW and prepare for the people who bid later, how to register, sign up, sign in, what to look for (shipping costs, what method of payments they accept, etc). THEN....I come home to see 31 Jack Higgins books sell for like $1.99. I would have bought the damn things so YOUR dad could have them....but geeesh.

Sorry Bella, but this kind of thing upsets me when I spend my time trying to help....

It's not fun to do research for someone else when they ignore ALL advice....

I know you will be surprised I have said this, but I am just flat sick of people who want advice, yet don't look into ANY advice being given.

31 books, for less than 2 bucks, and 8 bucks shipping..........WOW.

Ill, I have to wait until tomorrow to do anything to find out how long they are going to be stuck in a hotel so I will know where to ship.

Bella, don't worry, some people get easily offended. Not sure what they don't understand about you've just had two brain surgeries and probably aren't on top of your game. I have some info on some book you can get online cheap, so don't pay any attention to people who think a headache in any way compares to what you've been through
