I just saw the segment on the elderly lady and the property dispute

Well I have a few questions, if the Tarrant County Appraisal District said the land was hers DID they also make her pay "property tax" on that extra piece of land? If yes, then doesn't the TCAD owe the lady a refund or at least credit since now the property is NOT in fact hers?

Plus couldn't the lady file a lien on the property for the up keep she has done to it?

I don't believe a lein is possible but it would bear looking into.

Too, I agree she's entitled to some compensation.

It sounds to be that the city took advantage of her until she called the big dogs in on them.

I feel bad for that lady.

The City needs to reimburse her for the fence and upkeep of the property they said was hers! Is there an attorney out there that can help this woman???
