Q: Cowboy fans...Is this the man who will lead you to another first round playoff loss?

A: Yes.

I heard "Big" Ben Rothlesburger (sp?) telling sports radio that the Steelers were going to "send Romo on another Mexican vacation next season."  Face it...the boy's a punchline in the N.F.L.

 

Romo is that dorky guy who suddenly gets the totally hot girlfriend and doesn't have a clue on how to handle it.

Wow. Insulting people is so cool. I talk a little smack about Tony Romo and you get personal. Nice move.

Mike- I have always praised your posts in the past while still disagreeing with you. Too bad you have no sense of humor or, from this I see from this little post, any trace of class. I won't make that mistake again.

Dear Brer-

Sorry if you were offended, I have removed the comment. I was attempting to be funny and did not mean offense. Seriously.

I treat blogs as separate entities, not as people. As such when I blog I intentionally try to sensationalize comments and opinions. the blogger mspurlin, though similar to M. Spurlin, still represents an amped up extreme version.

So sometimes I forget that other people do not treat blogging the same way, and that their blog opinions really are their real opinions. Though I do not believe the person behind Brer-Rabbit lacks intelligence, I understand that definitely could be the impression somebody gets.

I am sorry, but i just naturally have a more confrontational attitude towards blogging and internet discussions, because i do not consider them real arguments that carry over to the real world. To me, they exist only in cyberspace when I am sitting at a computer, so I don't typically worry about proper argument etiquette.

Sorry and I promise to be more careful next time.

On a side note, I do have to say that Big Ben said the dumbest thing I have ever heard a pro athlete say. This is the same man who ruined his team's season not even 6 months after winning the super bowl, and ultimately contributed to the resignation of Bill Chower because he was too dumb not to ride a motorcycle or even wear a helmet.

Talk about a selfish quarterback. At least Tony Romo cares about his teammates. he even went to T.O.'s birthday party.
