From Yahoo.

The Secret Service takes a lot of risks for the first family. So it's only fair that the agency gets the honor of coming up with code names for the president-elect and his family. Various sources within the Buzz recently revealed the not-so-secret nicknames.

Mr. Obama will be known as "Renegade" (move over, Lorenzo Lamas). Michelle, a woman of many talents, will be referred to as "Renaissance." Malia Obama's name will be "Radiance," while little sister Sasha's will be "Rosebud."

----------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------

Merriam-Webster's definition of Renegade

1 : a deserter from one faith, cause, or allegiance to another

2 : an individual who rejects lawful or conventional behavior

----------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------

Even the Secret Service acknowledges what was elected.

found this in my mailbox today.  Thought it would be good to share with the small business owners

Dear Fellow Business Owners,

As a business owner who employs 30 people, I have resigned myself to the fact that Barack Obama will be our next president, and that my taxes and fees will go up in a BIG way.

To compensate for these increases, I figure that the Customer will have to see an increase in my fees to them of about 8 to 10%. I will also have to lay off six of my employees. This really bothered me as I believe we are family here and didn’t know how to choose who will have to go. So, this is what I did.

I strolled through the parking lot and found eight Obama bumper stickers on my employees’ cars. I have decided these folks will be the first to be laid off.

I can’t think of another fair way to approach this problem. If you have a better idea, let me know

BEIJING - A news story describing a successful launch of China's long-awaited space mission and including detailed dialogue between astronauts launched on the Internet Thursday, hours before the rocket had even left the ground.

The country's official news agency Xinhua posted the article on its Web site Thursday, and remained there for much of the day before it was taken down.

A staffer from the Xinhuanet.com Web site who answered the phone Thursday said the posting of the article was a "technical error" by a technician. The staffer refused to give his name as is common among Chinese officials.

The Shenzhou 7 mission, which will feature China's first-ever spacewalk, is set to launch Thursday from Jiuquan in northwestern China between 9:07 a.m. EDT and 10:27 p.m. EDT.

The arcticle, dated two days from now on Sept. 27, vividly described the rocket in flight, complete with a sharply detailed dialogue between the three astronauts.

Excerpts are below:

"After this order, signal lights all were switched on, various data show up on rows of screens, hundreds of technicians staring at the screens, without missing any slightest changes ...

'One minute to go!'

'Changjiang No.1 found the target!'...

"The firm voice of the controller broke the silence of the whole ship. Now, the target is captured 12 seconds ahead of the predicted time ...

'The air pressure in the cabin is normal!'

"Ten minutes later, the ship disappears below the horizon. Warm clapping and excited cheering breaks the night sky, echoing across the silent Pacific Ocean."

Are we so focused on the economy that we have forgotten our "friends"?  Daily, I read Northeast Intelligence Network's website.  Today this was posted...

Directives for Islamic terrorist attack in U.S. appear on the Internet

SPECIAL REPORT: "Commandments Before The Strike"

ALERT: Instructions for actions Muslims are to take before, during & after an attack in the U.S. posted;

Message suggests activation of worldwide jihad following U.S. attack;

Message indicates large-scale attack within the U.S., perhaps early October;

Text, posting under analysis by U.S. Intelligence officials

Analysis by Douglas J. Hagmann, Director & By Randy Taylor, Independent Analyst

Intelligence provided by "Archangel"

24 September 2008: A posting uncovered in an Arabic language Internet forum is currently raising a few eyebrows in the intelligence community. The single posting, which is presently being scrutinized by intelligence officials, appears to provide detailed instructions for Muslims living within the United States, giving them specific actions to take before, during and after an upcoming attack in the U.S. The communication was discovered by "Archangel," a well-known independent intelligence analyst active within the intelligence community.

The post was initially published on August 2, 2008 under the title “Commandments [Directives] Before the Strike,” and appears to be a sort of a conflict management guide, or instructions on what Muslims should do prior to the attack, actions that should be undertaken concurrent with the attack, and well as additional instructions following the attack.

The text addressing the nature, location and timing of the planned attack, although specific to the U.S., appears otherwise ambiguous. For instance, the timing appears to focus on the Tuesday following the end of Ramadan, which would be October 7, 2008. The nature of the attack is less clear. Although the author appears to talk about a strike greater in magnitude than the 9/11 attacks and makes reference to the possibility of it being nuclear in nature, the text references to the nuclear aspect of the attack appear somewhat muddled.

In terms of the location of the attack, it is clear that the author identifies both New York, as the financial capital of the U.S., and Washington, DC, as the nation’s capital, as being both desirable and affected. It is interesting that under analysis, the details of “the attack” referenced by the author are nestled within the text of instructions, rather than being prominently placed to serve as an overt warning as seen in the past. The relative subtlety in which the targets and type of attack was referenced is most interesting from a historical and analytical perspective.

The author who wrote the posting appears to be well established and respected by the community of terrorists and their supporters who frequent such forums. Research of the various membership profiles within that community indicates the author could be a sheik or other Muslim with leadership status. To be clear, research indicates the author has a level of credibility within the forum community. Accordingly, it would be completely consistent for the author to be able to issue a set of instructions that could be expected to be followed by the readers of the forum.

An investigation of the post, in terms of placement, links and replies, also provides significant insight with regard to its weight and credibility. Looking at a specific patterns of posting on Arabic language forums over the last seven years, investigation and research takes into account the number, type and authorship of follow-up postings or replies, for example to the original communication.

What makes this post particularly interesting is the limited number of replies to date – a total of three- despite the length of time it has been posted. Further, the replies in this case are general blessings, such as “May Allah Bless You” and general wishes of support for the operation. Based on extensive research of historical posting patterns over the last seven years suggest that this posting could be classified, recognized and acted upon as an order, as opposed to being a point for further discussion.

The commandments or directives are written as a set of instructions to an audience the author has divided into six groups as follows, most if not all having some presence in the United States:

1. Muslim scholars, students, followers of Islam;
2. Various Islamic movements.
3. Islamic peoples not belonging to any specific movement.
4. “Dubai Islamic Emirate of the Caucasus” the Islamic State of Iraq and other jihadist movements;
5. Sleeper cells and potential recruits;
6. The general command of al Qaeda.

Various directives are issued to each of the groups referenced above, providing direction to each group on activities that need to be conducted before and after “the” attack. For example, members of “sleeper cells” should immediately seek out those who are already activated – known by some Islamic scholars and religious leaders – for further tactical advancement.

Specific instructions were also given to the Muslim people to move Muslim children to the safety of training camps at a time that would correspond to the Tuesday after Ramadan – a date that was established as the potential attack date within this posting.

In addition to the varied instructions within this post, there is an additional directive that appears to serve as a worldwide activation order for Islamic terrorists to carryout maritime missions subsequent to the attack, with the obvious intent on disrupting all major maritime supply routes.

Instructions were given to jihadists in the following areas for such operations:

"[T]he Philippines - Indonesia - Maldives - the coast of Yemen - the coast of Somalia - the coast of Chinguetti - and perhaps the coast of Algeria;"

"The skyline of the Islamic many important straits and sea lanes that have articulated by the march of trade and military forces of infidelity:"

"The Strait of Malacca between Malaysia and Sumatra, one of the most important corridors of the world trade."

"[The] Torres Strait, which lies between New Guinea and northern Australia..."

Perhaps the most disconcerting aspect of this posting might not be the message itself, but the message when viewed through the prism of historical patterns exhibited subsequent to the 2001 terrorist attacks. While the contents of the message are revealing, they become even more relevant when analyzed in tandem with the threat of worldwide jihad in advance of the bombings in Yemen and Pakistan.

We are seeing a resurgence of Islamic jihad previously before unseen, with few notable exceptions. Those exceptions, however, are indeed notable: the time periods before the London & Madrid bombings, both described as each country's own 9/11.

Additional information and further analysis will be published as developed

Now in addition to the above. I ran across an article in the Army News:

Brigade homeland tours start Oct. 1

3rd Infantry’s 1st BCT trains for a new dwell-time mission. Helping ‘people at home’ may become a permanent part of the active Army By Gina Cavallaro - Staff writer
Posted : Monday Sep 8, 2008 6:15:06 EDT

The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.

Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.

Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.

It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. In August 2005, for example, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed hell in Mississippi and Louisiana, several active-duty units were pulled from various posts and mobilized to those areas.

But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.

After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one.

Democratic Sen. Barack Obama rejected Republican Sen. John McCain’s dramatic call Wednesday to delay Friday’s presidential debate because of the economic crisis.

“This is exactly the time when the American people need to hear from the person who in approximately 40 days will be responsible for dealing with this mess,” Obama told reporters in Clearwater, Fla.

----------------------------------------

So this man thinks the person elected to be president "takes over" right after the election.  Again he doesn't know the Constitution.

This half-term Senator needs to be on Capital Hill doing what he was elected to do, not appearing in a scripted debate talking about what he "would" do... if he was elected.

I would if he were to debate himself who would win?

From the Northeast Intelligence Network:

UK adopts Islamic law

15 September 2008: As reported Sunday in the Times Online, Britain has now officially granted Sharia courts the authority to rule on Muslim civil cases, and such rulings have now become enforceable with the full power of the British judicial system. Previous to this change, rulings issued by Sharia courts were unenforceable and dependent upon voluntary compliance by all involved parties.
Muslim courts have been established throughout Britain, including London, Birmingham, Bradford and Manchester. The headquarters for Sharia court is located in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. According to published reports, two additional Islamic courts are planned for Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The Sharia court system in the UK evolved from a clause in the Arbitration Act 1996, leading the way for the Muslim Arbitration Tribunal, run by Sheikh Faiz-ul-Aqtab Siddiqi. Reports claim that Siddiqi, chairman of the governing council of the tribunal, expects the courts to evolve further, handling criminal cases in coming years.

The implications of the implementation of a “parallel” judicial system – one sanctioned by British law –are ominous and should serve as a warning of what awaits the United States, Canada and the rest of the Western world.

----------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
--

Not knowing much about Sharia Law, except they like to "throw rocks", I looked up the definition:

Sharia Law - source and definitions:

The term "Sharia" (a.k.a. Shari'a) literally means "the path to a watering hole." The Guardian newspaper in the UK describes Sharia as: "... a religious code for living, in the same way that the Bible offers a moral system for Christians." 1 It is used to refer both to the Islamic system of law and the totality of the Islamic way of life. Sharia is derived both from:

bullet The teachings of the Qur'an. This is the Muslim holy book, which corresponds to the Jews' Torah and the Christians' Holy Bible. Muslims believe that the Qur'an is the Word of God, as dictated to the prophet Muhammad by the angel Gabriel. bullet From Sunna, which is referred to as Islamic "Custom or practice; particularly that associated with the exemplary life of the Prophet Muhammad, comprising his deeds and utterances as recorded in the hadith." The hadith literally means "report" or "narrative" 2 bullet The technique of "... reasoning by analogy in order to develop new laws from existing laws." As the culture evolves, new types of problems emerge that need to be dealt with. Pre-implantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD) used to prevent the development of a severely defective human embryo is one example. bullet The technique of accepting the consensus of a Muslim community. The reasoning is that Allah would not allow an entire community to be in error on a basic Islamic principle. bullet Hanbali: This is the most conservative school of Shari'a. It is used in Saudi Arabia and some states in Northern Nigeria. bullet Hanifi: This is the most liberal school, and is relatively open to modern ideas. bullet Maliki: This is based on the practices of the people of Medina during Muhammad's lifetime. bullet Shafi'i: This is a conservative school that emphasizes on the opinions of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad. Recent history:

The Constitutional Rights Foundation notes that:

"In the 19th century, many Muslim countries came under the control or influence of Western colonial powers. As a result, Western-style laws, courts, and punishments began to appear within the Sharia. Some countries like Turkey totally abandoned the Sharia and adopted new law codes based on European systems...Modern legislation along with Muslim legal scholars who are attempting to relate the will of Allah to the 20th century have reopened the door to interpreting the Sharia. This has happened even in highly traditional Saudi Arabia, where Islam began....Since 1980, some countries with fundamentalist Islamic regimes like Iran have attempted to reverse the trend of westernization and return to the classic Sharia." 4

Within Sharia law, there are a group of "Haram" offenses which carry severe punishments. These include pre-marital sexual intercourse, sex by divorced persons, post-marital sex, adultery, false accusation of unlawful intercourse, drinking alcohol, theft, and highway robbery. Haram sexual offenses can carry a sentence of stoning to death or severe flogging. An eyewitness account of Soraya M, a woman executed by stoning, can be read on an anti-Iranian web site. Caution: do not read this if you have a weak stomach; it is quite graphic. 5

Sharia law  has been adopted in various forms by many countries, ranging from a strict interpretation in Saudi Arabia and northern states of Nigeria, to a relatively liberal interpretation in much of Malaysia. 1

Sharia law is intended to be only applicable to Muslims. Christians and other non-Muslims are supposed to be exempt from the provisions of the law; this is a provision that is not universally followed..

I find myself wondering if Britian has realized what a can of worms they are trying to open, and wonder still when will America go too far in an attempt to aplease.

Sharia law: founders and schools:

Perhaps the two greatest original founders of Sharia law were Malik ibn Anas and Ibn al-Shaf'i. Anas established the Maliki school of jurisprudence. Al-Shaf'i was one of Anas' students; he disagreed with his teacher about the reliability of the hadith. He felt that it was necessary to trace each hadith from the time of Muhammad through its chain of devout Muslims. This concern led to Islamic scholars considering "... which hadith were true and which were not." Needless to say this led to conflicts among scholars as to the proper application of Sharia law.

Ibn al-Shafi'i promoted the use of additional sources for Shari'a law:

There are four main schools of Sharia law:

What applies within one school of Sharia law does not necessarily apply in the other schools. For example, the Maliki Law School accepts evidence of pregnancy as proof that an unmarried woman has either committed adultery or been raped. The other schools "... do not recognize evidence of pregnancy as proof of Zina [Adultery]." 3

The Plano Police Department has offered the following safety tips:
Stay alert -- keep your mind on your surroundings, who is in front of you and who is behind you.
Don't get distracted -- if possible have a friend accompany you late at night.
Walk purposefully and make quick eye contact with people around you.
Trust your instincts -- avoid vacant lots, alleys or construction areas when walking.
Do not overburden yourself with packages making it hard to react.
Have your house or car keys in hand as you approach your home or vehicle.
If you suspect you are being followed by someone on foot, cross the street and head for the nearest lighted, populated area.
Watch and report suspicious activity

The police forgot one – Girls if you don’t carry a weapon, begin.. one round, center mass, is the best safety tip there is.

from NBC11.com

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Dozens of attorneys from some of the nation's most powerful law firms have united to create a task force that will come to the aid of undocumented immigrants, NBC11's Damian Trujillo reported Monday.

The 60 attorneys from 14 law firms have said they will face the government head-on -- challenging the legality of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids.

The legal plan called for the lawyers to vigorously defend the constitutional rights of all people, including undocumented immigrants, Trujillo said.

Andrew Thomases said Dechert LLP, which represents Yahoo, and the other law firms would represent undocumented immigrants for free.

"We do have the resources to help all our clients," Thomases said. "All individuals have constitutional rights, and we want to make sure the rights are not violated........."

My thought on Thomases' statement that "All individuals have consitutional rights....:

I agree, if they are not US Citizens, they have the rights afforded them under the consitution of "THEIR" country.

The Premable to the Consitution of The United States states "We the People OF  the United States"..  Illegal (note I did not say "Undocumented") Aliens may be IN the United States but certainly they are not OF the United States.   So someone convince me what Consitutional Rights are they entitled to?  The only thing I can think of which they are entitled to is tax payer funded transportation back to the border.  Wait a second, that would be another waste of tax payer money, as they will probably beat the bus back...

After running across an article which stated that  a Terriorist, which had been released from Gitmo, had killed himself to keep from being recaptured.... Well I couldn't resist sharing the good news with Amnesty International..

Text of my email to AI...

Regarding your desire to see Guantanamo closed.  Why don't you publish the following article on your website...

7.24.2007
A former Guantanamo Bay prisoner who took up arms alongside the Taliban after he was released from detention has blown himself up to avoid capture, Pakistani security forces said today.

Abdullah Mehsud killed himself with a hand grenade after he was cornered by troops at a house in the south-western Pakistani town of Zhob. He was wanted for the kidnapping of two Chinese engineers in 2004.

"My information is that (he) killed himself," said Atta Mohammed, the head of the police in Zhob. "Thanks be to God that only he was blown up and our men were safe."

Mehsud, 32, was released from the US detention centre in Cuba after two years in 2004 but immediately went back to violence when the Pakistani government began an offensive against the Taliban in the troubled region along the border with Afghanistan.

A fitting end to your efforts..One less Terrorist people have to worry about.

The Senate, and Congress as a whole,  who are "enjoying" a lower approval rating than the GW, aren't trying to do anything to turn public opinion around.    They continue to anything and everything they can to insure put America and Americans at risk.

20 July 2007: No doubt voting under the influence of special interest advocacy groups with deep pockets such as the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) - along with a hefty dose of pure stupidity and overall lack of understanding of the threat facing our country, Senate democrats essentially killed the "John Doe protection amendment" last night. The amendment, introduced by Rep. Peter King, would have provided protection from frivolous lawsuits for people who report suspicious behavior in matters of national security. The amendment needed 60 votes, the magical number that represents a "super majority" for an amendment that is not specifically related to a bill on which it is attached. It received 57 votes, with 4 senators failing to vote at all. Most notably, three of the four senators who failed to vote were Senators Barack Obama, Sam Brownback, and Dianne Feinstein;

First it was our pets and now it is our people.  I think that new FDA Rules need to be established REQUIRING every ingredient of an item must list the country of origin of the ingredient.  If consumers had this information I think soon China would be exporting their poison elsewhere.

Then we have the issue of China trying to get their poison into the mouths of Americans by intentionally mislabeling shipping containers.

This is simply Terrorism in another form.

It is time for the American government get serious about protecting the American public.

Is China trying to poison Americans and their pets?
U.S. market flooded with foods unfit for humans, tainted with carcinogens, pesticides, bacteria, drugs

WASHINGTON – While Americans are still recovering from a scandal over poison pet foods imported from China, FDA inspectors report tainted food imports intended for American humans are being rejected with increasing frequency because they are filthy, are contaminated with pesticides and tainted with carcinogens, bacteria and banned drugs.

Last month, like most months, China topped the list of countries whose products were refused by the FDA – and that list includes many countries, including Mexico and Canada, who export far more food products to the U.S. than China.

Some 257 refusals of Chinese products were recorded in April. By comparison, only 140 were from Mexico and only 23 from Canada.

Refused by the FDA in April because they were "filthy":

  • salted bean curd cubes in brine with chili and sesame oil
  • dried apple
  • dried peach
  • dried pear
  • dried round bean curd
  • dried mushroom
  • olives
  • frozen bay scallops
  • frozen Pacific cod
  • sardines
  • frozen seafood mix
  • fermented bean curd

Among the foods rejected because they were contaminated with pesticides:

  • frozen eel
  • ginseng
  • frozen red raspberry crumble
  • mushrooms

Frozen catfish was stopped because it was laced with banned antibiotics. Scallops and sardines were turned away because they were coated with putrefying bacteria.

Toothbrushes were rejected last month because they were improperly labeled. And last week the FDA found Chinese toothpaste contaminated with a chemical used in antifreeze – the same chemical that killed people in Panama last year when it turned up in cough syrup.

Just three days ago, the U.S. warned consumers not to buy or eat imported fish labeled as monkfish, which actually may be puffer fish, containing a potentially deadly toxin called tetrodotoxin. Two people in the Chicago area became ill after consuming homemade soup containing the fish. One was hospitalized due to severe illness.

The FDA is also on the lookout for vegetable proteins contaminated with melamine – the chemical that killed American cats and dogs when it was imported from China in pet food.

In the past year, the FDA rejected more than twice as many food shipments from China as from all other countries combined.

Most of the time, the reason listed is simply "filthy," the official term used when inspectors smell decomposition or gross contamination of food.

Officials say FDA inspectors examine only a tiny percentage of the food imported from foreign countries – about 1 percent -- meaning most of the contaminated products make it inside the country and to the shelves of retailers.

In the age of globalization, food imports in America are big business and getting bigger. In 2006, they represented $64 billion – a 33 percent increase over 2003. No country is increasing its food exports faster than China – about 20 percent in the last year alone.

China has become America's leading supplier of apple juice used as a food sweetener, garlic and garlic powder, sausage casings and cocoa butter.

China has also attempted to export hundreds of thousands of pounds of chickens and poultry products to the U.S., even though it is not yet certified to do so. Chinese exporters disguise the meat by labeling crates "dried lily flower" or "prune slices" or "vegetables."

Despite the deliberate deception, the U.S. government is about to certify the Chinese to export poultry legally.
