As we wind down to the election, I am taking the opportunity to ask people I work with and associate with, who they are voting for and why. I have polled 283 people through 10/21/08 with 96 being white, 113 black and 74 hispanic and here are the results:

44% of Whites (42 of 96) are voting for Obama. 31 of which say it's because "I am tired of the same old politics, I think he can bring change."

86% of Blacks (97 of 113) are voting for Obama. 78 of which say it's because he is Black and that "He understands what we have been through."

92% of Hispanics (68 of 74) are voting for Obama. 57 of which have stated that it is because he is a Democrat and they are always looking out for our best interest.

When asked what their number 1 issue on the parties Democratic platform was, their response was unexpected:

Whites - Taxing the rich and tax deductions for the middle class

Blacks - Because he's Black and wants to spread the wealth

Hispanics - Because he is a Democrat

I was very surprised that the responses were so shallow in substance.  I forsee an Obama Presidency based on emotion rather than facts.

No cut and paste here!

I forsee a sad future ahead of us.  All indications are that Obama will walk away with the Presidency.  All of his plans, foreign, domestic, healthcare, our security, taxes and the like will put EVERY American in the poor house.

Our only chance for survival is to change Congress. Currently, the Democratic led Congress has a 9% approval rating (lower than Bush) and the reason is, they have not accomplished ANY of the things they promised. In fact, they have voted to support the Bush administration (which they promised they would never do) on virtually every bit of legislation brought before Congress.

The only way to get out of this is to have a balanced Congress. I would suggest that on Nov. 4th, we vote a straight Republican ticket. Personally, I have never done this before. I look at the individual and their record rather than their political affiliation.

By having a Repbulican led Congress (both houses) we should be able to stem the tide of Socialism that Obama is proposing.

If we do not, I forsee the end result being a 55% tax rate or higher, gas prices will reach $200.00 a barrell by July 2009, unemployment rate will exceed 15% by 2011.  Americans will be meet their maker while waiting for surgery of up to 2 years, and the list goes on.

If we think we are in a financial crisis now, hold onto your shorts, IT WILL GET WORSE!

My Timetable:  January 2009  "Stock Market rebounds as gas prices rise"

March 2009  "Congress passes Healthcare Plan" Dow Jones loses 1500 points in trading.

April 2009  "Obama agrees to concessions with Hamas and other Terrorist organizations"  Unemployment rate hits 15%.

June 2009 "Obama resends Patriot Act and  closes Department of Homeland Security saying the Country is now safe"

July 2009 "Terrorists attacks muliple locations in U.S. (35,000 dead!)   Gas prices rise on futures market to $200.00 a barrell.

August 2009 "Unemployment hits 20%, country in deepest Depression in History."

I will readdress the statements I have made here in July 2009 to see how close or how far off I am.

I have made reference to this in the past, but never told the "Rest of the Story".

I was divorced after a 15 year marriage and was pretty depressed. I met a nice lady and after two weeks of talking to each other and one date, I asked her to marry me. Strangely enough she said "Yes". Go figure!

I had met my dream girl. It was everything that I thought a relationship was supposed to be. I had wanted my relationship to be like my parents was, perfect. 40 years of bliss they shared before she passed.

After 6 years of marriage with my dream girl, it all came crashing down.

While on vacation in Austin on July 4th, 1999, my lovely  bride of 6 years got sick and we took her to the hospital. One Brain MRI showed a tumor the size of an egg. Asked what I wanted to do, my resonse was simple......TAKE IT OUT!

After 2 hours of surgery, the Doctor came out and said that my wife had a Oligodendroglioma Brain tumor that had matastised into the brain tissue and that she had 6 to 11 months to live! The doctor informed me that his mother died from the same tumor 1 year prior and that there was nothing he could do. I had no hope at that point. If the Doctor couldn't save his own mother, then there is certainly nothing he can do for my wife.

My life was over. My dream girl was going to be taken away from me. I prayed and prayed for days that the Lord would heal her so that I could spend the rest of my lfe with her. I decided at that point that I would devote whatever time we had left together, to making every day of her life the best she had ever had.

It has been 9 years since that fateful day and I kept my promise to God, myself and her. I made every effort to make her last days the best she could have ever had.

The best part is that she still hasn't reached her last days. She has been through a second craniotomy, with 18 months of Chemo, 60 radiation treatments and with prayer and commitment and great nutrition, she is now in remission.

She is more beautiful than when I first met her, I have been blessed more than I deserve. She is healthy, radiant and tumor free.   And I will continue to count my blessings each and everyday that God deemed me worthy enough to spend my life with her.

We both relish each and every minute we spend together.

And yes, she loves to ride as much as I do! Something else we can share together.

Count your Blessings......................things could be worse!

After extensive research on my part since Al Gore's "An Inconvenient Truth" film was released, there are some facts out there that blow this film and the Global Warming pundants out of the water.

1) The Atmosphere has cooled .13 degrees C since 1979.

2) Our oceans have cooled 3 degrees since 2005.

3) Scientists have taken specific date ranges (not all the historical data) and generated computer models based on that limited data to calculate a trend. Trends without all historical data creates false results.

4) All historical data models show that the high temps peaked in 1940, since then the temps have been trending down.

The best, undisputable source of accurate "Global Warming" I have found is S. Fred Singer. He is an  Atmospheric Physicist, Professor Emertus of Environmental Sciences at the University of Virginia, Former Director of  the U.S. Weather Satellite Service.

If interested, you must read his short interview. Go to: www.ourcivilisation.com/aginatur/moregw.htm-4k  p>

Top FoxNews Dateline 8-27-08: Scientists Express "Alarm" as Artic Sea Ice Drops to Scecond Lowest Level.

This data comes from the National Snow and Ice Data Center. They reported that the ice melt recorded on Monday (8/25/08) exceeded the low recorded in 2005, which held second place.

What was not reported (which I verified on the web) is that on August 20, 2008 five days prior to this report, the same Data Center reported that severe storms and high winds had broken off chunks of thinner ice over the last few weeks which reduced the size of the sea ice (shelf) significantly.

Let's correlate this information: 1) Storms break off chunks of thinner ice from shelf reducing the size of the shelf (aug.20). 2) Measurements taken 8/27/08 indicate shelf size reduced due to melting ice.

"Environmental groups said the ice melt was another alarm bell warning of Global Warming".

Excuse me! Obviously, weather, waves, wind, and natural melting and refreezing of the "Arctic" areas have nothing to do with a smaller ice shelf. It has to be global warming.

Alright everyone...................let's reduce CO2.................Stop breathing NOW!

Long before they attached a name to it (Intelligent Design Theory), I had considered the merging of Science and Religion. Our existence is full of opposites such as: you can't have an up without a down, in without an out, liberal without conservative, religion without science, and so on.

I have pondered both evolution and creationism for over 40 years.  In my late teens (1970's) I decided that both science and religion were right........to a point.

We do experience "evolution". We grow and change from one generation to the next. What was once an average height in men of 5' 5" tall in the mid 1800's is now 5' 10".

Science calls it the Big Bang Theory. Random particles combining and exploding into stellar nurseries, Galaxies, Planets, and so on. Is it so far fetched to consider that there was Devine intervention that caused these "random " particles to merge?

The issue that plagues us is that neither side is willing to acknowledge the other. Science will not even consider the thought of Devine intervention and Religion will not accept that there is an evolution which takes place. Is evolution fact? To a point, yes. Although they have yet to find the "missing link".

Religion is just as blinded as Science. If a UFO was to land in the Ball Park in Arlington and aliens from space exited the craft, religion would be in total shambles.  Everything that the religious community held true would be up for debate. In contrast, when Jesus comes back, the scientific community will also be in shambles.

The answer: God created the Heavens and the Earth with the Big Bang. God made all the animals and over time they evolved and adapted to the changing world. Once Earth was ready, which was millions of years ("a day is like a thousand years") God introduced man into the Earth. Over time, man defaced what God had provided and God brought forth a great flood which wiped out the "known" world's population.

Then the polititians were born along with the scientists and religious scholars and destroyed what God had created.

The time is coming my friends when all our questions will be answered. Just be prepared when it does and hope it's the answer you were looking for!

O.K. Let's conserve fuel! Gas prices have come down, granted, but still not where they were a year ago. Car manufacturers are moving their fuel efficient cars off the lot's quicker then they can get replacements. Big trucks and SUV's are sitting on the lot's gathering dust! What is my point?

I purchased a brand new Pontiac G5 that gets 34 MPG. I am by no means a "hyper-miler" but I do try to watch my speed. I live in Fort Worth but work in Waxahachie......all highway miles!

What I don't understand is, I drive 65 miles an hour on an open highway in a fuel efficient car and I am getting passed by Bubba's in their Dooley's doing 85 and Soccer Moms on their cell phones in their SUV's doing 90, and teenage "I'm an expert driver" in mommy's Benz "texting" their peeps doing 100 weaving in an out of traffic..................WHY?

Does this mean that by trying to conserve, I have actually given my portion to these fuel un-conscious morons? Oh, that's right, I forgot. It's not about me!

I was pleased that a very talented and beautiful lady from Texas won the Ms. USA pagent last night. She is very smart and is very active in her community as well as owning her own business. I wish her the best in the future.

With that in mind, I am also extremely pleased that in the news articles I have seen, she is not named as a "Black Woman".  She is a woman! It is not necessary to add the label of Hispanic, Black, Asian, etc. to the Bio.

My next question is, (and this will stir up some stuff) why was it not listed as Ms. White USA pagent?  Are whites, asians or hispanics able to enter the Ms. Black America contest?  Why is it alright to have a Black USA pagent, but not a white USA pagent?

Personally, I don't think there should be multiple pagents. One for Black USA, one for Ms. USA. They probably have more that I don't know about. We should have one pagent! Any color or race should be included, and leave it up to the women to stand on their own! They always do!

My 18 year old called me last night to tell me he hit a pothole and blew his tire on one of those pitch black, two lane, no center stripe, country roads in Keller. He blew his tire but was able to nurse the car and tire to a well lighted, highly visable parking lot. "Why are you stranded, I asked?"

"Well Dad, ya see, the spare in the trunk won't fit!"
"Son, what do you mean it won't fit?"
"It won't go on the lugs, Dad!"
"Didn't you just spend $200.00 for a new spare and wheel 2 months ago?," I retorted!
"Yes Dad, but even though it's new, it still doesn't fit"
Then came the dumb question of the year:
"Son, did you remember to take off the lug nuts before you tried to put on the spare?" (Here's your sign, Dad!).

Well, after I picked him and his girlfriend up, we left the car there since all the tire stores were closed, and my wife and son would take care of it today (Thursday).

At 4:00 PM I got the call.

"Dad, the rim is bent and can't be fixed. The tire had road hazard protection so they will replace it free, but my low profile rims can't be fixed and they no longer make them anymore!".

I'm gonna scream!!!!!!

"Dad..................Dad...............Can you here me?"

"Yes son, how much is it going to cost?"

$498.00 for matching wheels and the guy said that the 2 other tires are worn, the wheels are out of alignment and need to be fixed and that will cost another $230.00".
"Dad..............Dad...............Dad, are you there?, I think Dad just hung up!"

AARRRRRRRRGGGGGGG.

I think I'll send the bill to the city!

-----A man walked into a very high-tech restaurant. As he sat down at a table he noticed that his waiter was a robot.
The robot clicked to attention and asked, "Sir, what will you have?"
The man thought a moment then replied, "The Special please."

The robot clicked a couple of times and prepared the meal right before the man. The robot then asked, "Sir, what is your IQ?"
The man answered "Oh, about 164."

The robot then proceeded to discuss the 'theory of relativity', interstellar space travel', 'the latest medical breakthroughs, etc.......
The man was most impressed. He left the restaurant but thought he would try a different tack.

Next day he returned and took a seat. Again the robot clicked and asked what he would have? "A Special please."

Again it was superb! The robot again asked "What is your IQ sir?"

This time the man answered, "Oh about 100."

So the robot started discussing NASCAR racing, the latest SUNS basketball scores, and what to expect the Dodgers to do this year with the newly acquired Gonzo.

The guy had to try it one more time. So he left, returned the next day and took a seat.... Again a special, and the question, "What is your IQ?"

This time the man drawled out "Uh..... bout 50."

The robot clicked then leaned close and very slowly asked,

"A-r-e.......y-o-u-r........p-e-o-p-l-e.......g-o-i-n-g
......to........n-o-m-i-n-a-t-e ..... H-i-l-l-a-r-y-?????"

I am so sad. What has happened to my America? What has happened to truth and honor and justice? What has happened to protecting our Country, our borders and our way of life?

News flash: $400,000 awarded to man in Boston for causing a rukus on an airplane (racial profiling).
News Flash: Lulac suing to keep a town from protecting itself from illegal aliens.
News Flash: Target awards illegal alien family prize for first born in 2007, even though the rules say the winner must be a legal resident of the U.S.

We can't be suspicious of people acting strange, or they will sue and win!
We can't protect our borders, we have to pay for the worlds healthcare, the government wants more taxes to help pay for these aliens.
Businesses can't run their business the way they see fit, but must operate the way the city wants....No smoking allowed in Bars, pool halls, etc.
Sin Tax on cigarettes to help pay for public schools.
The cigarette tax will backfire, and they will find something else to tax to make up for the lost revenues. Why not tax something we all use? How about toilet paper?

Everything that is wrong with the world is blamed on Bush.
Everything from Global Warming to September 11th, 2001. If it's wrong, it must be Bush's fault.

Can I quit. Can I go back in time when honor meant something. Truth was important. Security was the rule not the exception.
Justice meant doing the right thing rather than being politically correct.

Or maybe I should go forward instead! Hopefully by 2110, we will have secure borders. Healthcare will be reasonably priced. The only aliens coming into the country will have passports and leave when they are supposed to. People of all races are equal, and treated with respect. There is no Black Panthers, KKK, ACLU, NAACP, racists, etc, but rather we are ONE NATION which cares about each other!

I am tired of all the bickering and finger pointing.
I am tired of the racism and hatred.
I am tired people blaming everyone else but themselves.

We do have some good things here, I just am at a loss as to what they are. Can somebody remind me of what is right in America? A little help please!

USATODAY.com posted the question on their website, "Can amniotic stem cells help? Most of the responses on the blogs had serious religious overtiones. All this debate from a religious standpoint is basically mute.
It has been widely known in the scientific community that "embryonic stem cells" have serious tumor forming potential.
It was unambiguously clear five years ago that embryonic stem cells robustly form tumors (teratomas) when transplanted into adult tissues, and this remains the case today. Teratomas are benign tumors that contain a variety of differentiated cell types (hair, teeth, muscle, etc.). These tumors can often prove fatal because of their rapid growth, but they are not malignant or cancerous tumors, which metastasize into multiple locations within the body. Embryonic stem cell advocates were well aware of the tumor-forming potential of these cells. (Indeed, teratoma formation following injection of embryonic stem cells into adult mice is still today the test of whether a researcher has successfully generated a bona fide embryonic stem cell line).
So far, none of the researchers have been able to find not even 1 usuable embryonic stem cell. What has not been widely reported until now (although it has been well known in the research community for the last 3 years) is that placenta, embryonic fluid, and better yet, umbilical cords containing stem cells so far show much better possiblities without forming tumors than embryonic stem cells.
The bottom line is that very few people, including politicians and the media have taken the time to do the research necessary to adequately inform the masses. Search the web. There are a number of good research literature which supports what I have said.
The main point:
Embryonic stem cells grow tumors and are unusable!
Placenta, Embryonic fluid, umbilical cords are usable and do not form tumors!
Why harvest something we can't use!

Today begins a new era for the Democrats. Nancy Pelosi takes over the reins of the Democratic led congress. Their first order of business (first 100 hours) is to pass sweeping ethics reform. The issue which should be addressed, but will not, is how the goverment is still paying pensions for convicted congressional felons. There are a number of congressional felons who are soon to be or currently serving time in Federal Prisons who are still earning more in pensions ($45,000 to $75,000 annually)(*) than most of us earn who are law abiding taxpayers.

My concern is that these "sweeping ethics reforms" will be nothing more than a smoke screen and that the real issues will not be addressed. Nancy Pelosi has publicly stated that she will make it an ethics violation for congressional leaders to except gifts from lobbyists. That's all good and well, but take it a step further Ms. Pelosi and as a penalty for committing a felony (no matter what felony) these leaders would lose their pensions forever! Currently the only way to lose goverment pensions is to be convicted of treason.
That's it......no other conviction would cause them to lose their pension.

That, Ms. Pelosi, would send a strong message to the taxpayers of the country, that the Democrats are serious about doing what they say they are going to do!
Cleaning up Congress!

Time to stir things up a little. Todays topic, Intelligent Design.
"In the beginning.......(Gen 1:1). The Big Bang?
Where did dinosaurs come from?
Is Evolution fact or fiction?
What about "The Origin of Species"?
How can Religion and Science actually support each others beliefs?
I'll be waiting.

Heard on the radio this morning that the newly hired C.O.O. (Chief Operating Officer) with J.C. Penneys was let go. Evidently this individual had only been in that position for a few months. Here's the kicker though. As part of the seperation package, this Ex-COO will get a package worth.........(I kid you not).............$10,000,000.00. Yes that's right, 10 Million Dollars!

I would like to let all major corporations know that I am available on a short term basis for CEO, COO or CFO duties with your firm, and will except, after it is determined that I have no idea what I am doing, a seperation package of only 5 Million Dollars. Business wise, this is a huge savings which could then be rolled into the product cost and turned over to the consumer to foot the bill. I am currently employed but will make myself available. Contact me through this blog. Thank you.
