Saying Grace in a Restaurant

Fellow Bloggers and Friends: I was looking @ my poems and I came across one that sounded like it could be for this day and age, I hope U enjoy it >>> A couple years ago I took my childern to a Restaurant and My youngest son said "Mommy, Can I say Grace?" As we bowed our heads down he said " God is Great,Godis Good,Thank you for this food and I would thank you more if Mommy would buy us icecream for dessert and Liberty and Justice for all Amen."Along with the laughter from the customers nearby I heard a women remark;" Thats whats wrong with this world, Kids today don't even know how to pray. Asking God for Ice Cream,Inever!"Hearing this my son busted into tears and asked me, " Mommy, Did I say it wrong?" Is God mad at me? As I held him assured him he done a terrific job. A elderly man approached rhe table and winked at me and said "I happend to know that God thought your prayer was Great". "Really"my son asked. "Cross my heart" the man replied and then in a theatrical whisper, he added (indicating the woman that made the remark that started all this whole thing) " TOO BAD she never askes God for IceCream, A little IceCream is good for your soul sometimes ". Naturally, I bought Ice Cream forthe kids at the end of the meal My son stared at his for a moment and without a single word he picked up his IceCream and walked over to the table where the lady was and placed it in front of her with a big smile on his face and said" Here, this for you, Ice Cream is good for your soul sometimes and my soul is already good". The End SOMETIMES WE ALL NEED ICE CREAM AND I HOPE GOD SENDS YOU ICE CREAM TODAY.. GOD BLESS YOU EVERYONE.

No not really! It's several pictures that are combined to make it move. There are a lot of animated programs out there. Some are free and other's are very very expensive.

What a wonderful story, thanks for sharing with us. Tell your son to keep praying whatever is on his heart. God is listening. What a fine young man you have. If I had been a better mother maybe my daughter wouldn't have used meth. God Bless you all.

Dalejrfan: I am so sorry ,That you feel like your a bad Mother, Dont ever feel like that Because let me tell you something just because your Daughter Chosed to do Meth You didnt teach her, how to do it, Did you? My childern are all grown and they have lefted the nest knowing DONT SMOKE - even though your Mom does it. Dont DO DRUGS- LEARN TO SAY NO- MOM only does Prescribed ones from the FAMILY DOCTOR. If you hang with the wrong crowd then you will get into DRUGS. Let me tell you a story that happend to me and this is the Gods honest truth.. When my Father died in 92, I lived in Houston, In his will I got the house Being the youngest I guess He really loved me Best I knew that but my siblings didnt want me to come to the furunal(How evr I dont know how to spell it) cause they was jelous of the fact I got the house I have 4 sisters and one Brother I came back to Dallas and when I came to my Fathers house, My Brother was on METH NEEDLES every where and I had to get a plumber out to clean our pipes because they threw needles in the toliet and stopped up the septic lines. I was PO But when I first got there was alot of pp walking around and this one guy had enough nerve to ask me who I was,I was P.O. and I shot my lil 22 in the air and I said everyone get the H-LL out of here NOW AND DONT COME BACK! THE NEXT MORNING I WENT TO COURT HOUSE and had him commited(my Brother) to TERRELL I said my brother had losted his mind and I want him to be commited RIGHT NOW Now remind you I am the youngest and hes about 13years older than me.Its been 6 years now and My Brother No longer does a

Thanks Scottbee 1948- can I keep you on one of my fav blogger too? As I was saying and I didnt realize I didnt finish on my last blog. My brother Howard has been clean for 6 years now He tells me he thanks me for helping him and standing by him,he lives with me and now we got a fence(wooden 6ft, fence) for privacy and to keep the druggers out. We no longer have drugs on my street of about 8 neighbors. I wont tolerate it, And everyone knows it ONLY TAKES ON SECOND TO PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL 911. I CARE I have alot of been there done that I can relate with just about anyone cause I can prove I been there and done that and I am only 44. GOOD NIGHT ALL SWEET DREAMS

Cuejoe good luck with your brother. You are to be comended for standing by him and helping him through his drug addiction.

We live in a rural area where drugs aren't so prevalent like they are in a Metro area, but if you want to find drugs I'm sure you can find them anywhere.

ScottB- Well Ma'am I thank you for telling me that and believe me it hasnt been easy with Howard, Hes got to where he hums to his self alot.I,Too live in the rural area and its a very small town but at a very large lake, I have lived in the 2 worst cities of crime and Drugs Dallas for one and Houston for another I have seen what Drugs can do to you, You will LIe,Steal and Kill your own Mama for that high. I am a very Good Mother and I am Luckly to have the being someone and NOT on DRUGS. One is in IRAQ the other is a DENTON FINEST NARC COP. So, I have had it hard But them kids of mind along with my dogs and the Mavs I have been able to make it. Blogging is where I have found friends and I Thank You For Being One.

I am a divorced/taken white woman, I have abot 2/3 of cherokee indian in me. I live on Cedar Creek Lake in the East.I was raised in the Dallas metroplex and I went to school at Lee Britian,Bowie Jr high, and Nimitz High School(1979 was last year) in Irving. I was in ROTC at Nimitz and I am hoping to meet some old classmates.I love dogs(raise chihuahuas and Minn Pinns).My childern are grown and each one of them are somebody I have a Teacher,A Policeman and a full time Enlisted Marine whos in Iraq.In Oct2006 I became a Grandmother for the first time. I love to give advice and a great listener. I love my FOX and I watch everyday.
