Discussion, learning, investigating, voting....It's all good.

I suppose you could make a case for "against Obama", but I'd rather think it's a case of "against Obama's politics" of the far left.

Personally, I don't dislike Senator Obama and I'm not against HIM. I DO dislike the Clintons and everything they stand for.

I'm with you KK. It's difficult these days to know who to vote for, they all lie. Some more then others though. And I can't bring myself to vote for someone who wants us to stay in a war that we should have never started. That of course may change if Clinton wins the nomination. I seriously don't know what I will do, but I have to vote so I will cross that bridge when and if I get to it. I may be voting Republican for the first time in my life...now there is a sobering thought.

I can't understand wanting to abandon any war... IF we had continued, WE would have won Viet Nam instead of following the liberal/Dems who insisted we leave and lose! There is a purpose to fighting and winning. It's called freedom and liberty to us and those communist & now terrorist who want to inflict their evil upon other people. And to run away from a fight, would fulfill what Bin Laden said of us... paper tigers. Victory is always the right answer. We just need to pump of the action to ensure we win. Should have been done before now, but hey, I ain't in charge. lol

I of course, don't care for any of the Dem politics. McC's isn't nearly what I'd hope for in a truly good candidate, but he's the only things running that I could vote for.

I just saw your bio... what is it about Obama that you like? Not being snotty, really would like to see what it is. I don't see much there expect public speaking abilities, so I'm curious. Thanx!

Chard, there is a portion of this country who have nothing good to say about the USA. Their collective anti USA hate is evident in their speech. While they have every right to espouse their beliefs, I for one find them to be, for the most part, uneducated, ungrateful and unwilling to do anything other than b.itch and moan. Moreover, with regard to the subject matter, as in this case, people are simply uninformed. They spout off from sound bites, believing the radical leftist pundits. It is indeed a testament to their foolishness.

Hi scotty!! Nice to see you back!

Well, as I said, my intent was not to insult him but find out what about the Bomer is so captivating.
What you say is true of many I've listened to or read, but I think some people must see some thing else that they think would make a good leader? I just wondered what his opinion was.

Scotty- No the war should have NEVER started. We should have never gone there, and anyone who thinks it was justified is in denial of the fact that our administration had to LIE. Funny how defendors of this little invasion seem to forget that fact. As usual you are the one spouting off your hatred and miscontent for anyone that does not think the way you do. Thank God we have free thought in this country.

He will tell you, Chard.

Yeah, we're done at AFI so I am back! lol Saw a lot of interesting films, interviewed a lot of folks for AT&T in the U-verse studios. Met some great people with opposing views.

Thanks for the question Char- I don't think you are being insulting just by asking me why I would vote for Obama. There are a lot of reasons, so I won't go into detail but list just a few of the ones that come to mind right away.

*Reversing DOMA and Don't Ask Don't Tell
*Strengthening Civil Rights enforcement, and expanding the Hate Crimes Statutes
*Ending the war on Iraq
*Renewing our standing in the world with Diplomacy
*Securing our borders and improving immigration

just to name a few!

The reason we want to abandon the WAR are many. Lies were told to get us into it. They continue to lie to keep us in it. I, for one, don't want my son to die to make the oil barrons richer. If the Muslim factions want to fight for power, which they have been doing for thousands of years, LET THEM, without further interference from US. When will it be time for us to leave? Considering inflation, perhaps when 100,000 American fighting men and women are burried in the ground.

1. What lie did Bush about? When was the lie verified and revealed? The facts, as I know them - no lie was told. HE made decisions based on the Intelligence community and the resolutions MADE by the U.N. The supposedly 'lie' was then the same LIE told by Pres. Clinton & his administration & all the leaders of the countries across Europe and beyond... if it was a 'lie'. Even the butcher of Baghdad said he HAD wmd... he in fact used them to kill his own people.
Fact is, we don't know for sure what he did with them... speculation was, they were transported into Syria before the war.
2. DOMA (?)
I don't think homosexual have any business in close quarters in the military. The DADT was Clinton silly idea.
3. The war will end when we win. And the ugly truth is, Obama & Hilly's have said they would NOT pull out without 'advisements', etc. Honestly, I don't think they're stupid enough to without all our troops, as they've said!
4. WE do that by winning and being winners! By remaining strong and not caving in to whimps on far left, the socialist, the communist, dictators and terrorist entities! THAT is the way to gain Respect.
5. NONE of these candidates will 'secure' our borders. Only possibly McC.

Thanx for the answer - we'll have different views and I won't change mine, lol, but a nice discussion can be fun.

"The war will end when we win."

Will someone define "win" for me? I have not heard it from the administration.

The intel was manufactured.

When we had a great opportunity to catch that Bin-Laden piece of trash in Afganistan, Rumsfeld purposely dragged his feet due to a petty power struggle between him (dept. of defense), the CIA and the State department.

Char- 1.see above about Bush's lies- thanks Coltrane!

2. DOMA = Defense of Marriage Act- it is not needed and it is just a Right wing political ploy to get overly religious zealots like yourself to be devisive with the rest of society. Truly defending marriage would have a lot more to do with what HETEROSEXUAL society does to abuse it. For your info homosexuals have been serving in the military since its foundation. All DADT has done is forced more good soldiers and patriots out because of ignorance and intolerance. What on earth does someones sexual orientation have to do with his/her ability to serve in the military or do anything for that matter? And please if your going to answer this try and do it with something that makes sense. I have yet to hear an argument against gays in the military or gay marriage that has any substance to it- got anything better?

3. Then I guess it's over- Bush declared victory over 5 years ago "mission accomplished". Other then that, what exactly would YOU consider a win?

4. Wrong- we have lost respect because of bullying and pushing our way of life on others.

5. Wrong again- sorry but I have read about Obama's plan involves making it more difficult for illegal aliens to set up shop here- that is a good start as far as I'm concerned.

"WIN' - to succeed by striving or effort:
to gain the victory; overcome an adversary:
to succeed in reaching (a place, condition, etc.), esp. by great effort:

You'd think you'd learned that by 2nd grade. VICTORY - defeating the enemy - terrorist, wherever they are, in every country, kill them.

3. Sorry but it was obvious to most, what was meant - we HAD succeeded in conquering Baghdad. Do you not understand that?? Serioulsy!?
4. Do you realize that both France & Germany threw out their leftist leaders and replaced them with more conservative?! Do you let your kids boss you around? Should a government be any different. Strength is POWER & RESPECT.
5. That is just what HE SAYS. He has not introduce any bills or voted for ANY bills, restricting illegals.

Sorry Char, I'm not quite sure what world you live in, but it sure isn't this one. There is no "winning" in Iraq, it won't happen. We should not have gone there, and we have done nothing more then stir up more trouble for ourselves and the people that live there. As bad a man as Saddam was, he was no threat to us- not any more than any other dictatorship anyway.

You are seriously dilusional. Keep on ranting how much you hate liberalism and democrats, its really funny and kind of sad that you are so out of touch with reality.

I am willing to bet come November your going to be ranting crazy lady (not that you aren't close to that now) because we will have new Democratic leadership, and your old, tired, conservative ways will be going bye bye. Good riddance to them...

HaHa, Moankie. Good one there.

The truth is that some of the Intel was wrong.

More truth. Iraq threatened usage of WMD's. Check your facts, Bubba.

Iraq is indeed winnable. It is heartless people who've never known victory that run.

Thank God my father who stormed Iwo Jima and lived to tell about it didn't believe victory wasn't possible!

This mamby pamby generation of slackers and ne'er-do-wells is, for the most part, spineless and has no understanding of sacrifice. It is shameful to say the least.

I have an idea- instead of sending in more troops to die so that we can say we won a war that we should have never started, lets just pull our boys out and nuke the whole damn continent into dust- get rid of all the Muslims all at once. Yee Ha! America Rules!

I agree moankie- lots of clowns posting crap about him, its fun to read.
