A Dawg's eye view

The seven dwarfs always left to go work in the mine early each morning.

As always, Snow White stayed home doing her domestic chores.

As lunchtime approached, she would prepare their lunch and carry it to the mine.

One day as she arrived at the mine with the lunch,

She saw that there had been a terrible cave-in.

Tearfully, and fearing the worst, Snow White began

Calling out, hoping against hope that the dwarfs had somehow survived.

'Hello!...Hello!' she shouted. 'Can anyone hear me? Hello!'

For a long while, there was no answer.

Losing hope, Snow White again shouted,

'Hello! Is anyone down there?'

Just as she was about to give up all hope,

She heard a faint voice from deep within the mine, singing . . ..

'Vote for John McCain ! - Vote for John McCain !'

Snow White fell to her knees, crossed herself and prayed,

'Oh, thank you, God! At least Dopey is still alive...

Cool, I laughed at DDawg's joke, but yours is just a bit over the top for me. The reason is that assassination (that is the presumed outcome for Obama in the joke you wrote) is just not funny, no matter which part of the political spectrum the person hails from.

Perhaps I'm just too uptight in that department, but it is my honest assessment.

I laughed when I read it as an Obama joke, I laughed as I changed it to a McCain joke, I do not find anything about what cool said a joke. I hope that bad karma comes back to bite him in the BLEEP!

I got it as an Obama joke as well. It wasn't THAT funny as an Obama joke. As a McCain joke... harumph.

This conservative did not find the Obama joke that Acoolone posted funny (DDawg subsequently deleted it). Naturally, I am not exactly pigeonholed into today's "conservative" ideology - we seem to have lost something in the last decade.

At the same time, I am not even close to an Obamican. I know when ideology is pandered to and tossed aside. Obama has been a master of such, given his "cling to guns" in front of his adoring fans. When has he ever voted for a bipartisan law? Never. That is why I will vote McCain.

TI, it was a "joke" about assassination. Real funny.

A joke I can take, a suggestion of assassination is in extremely poor taste. TI I will be very disappointed if you find it even remotely funny.

Nothing is funny about people dying, sillypants. Although I have heard many speculate that if Obama takes HRC as his veep he'd better watch his back - because people close to the Clintons sometimes die of mysterious causes. Not a joke.

It's only in poor taste because it is about Obama DDawg, I know you in here and have seen the stuff you write, if it was about McCain you would not have deleted it. It just proves my point, you people want to dish it out but you can't take it. A joke is a joke, I find you're in very bad taste also, your talking about a man who was a war hero, something Obama could or never would be. texan, it's not that bad of a joke, just some people are very anul in here and we all know who they are.

Do you mean that some people would feign hurt feelings over a liberal candidate? INCONCEIVABLE! kidding... If you write a page long response to something they will take out one sentence and make it look like you are a raving bigot lunatic (proudhawaiian ahem), just drawing attention to the OTHER things they do... /sarc

Well cool, u don't know me at all if you think that I would have not deleted the same comment had it been about McCain. I may be an Obama supporter, but you have never heard me suggest anything about McCain being assassinated or even dying (and there is room for that given his age).

McCain's service to this country as a soldier should be honored, but that doesn't mean he should be president.

McCain does seem to think he is entitled to the presidency. I don't think he would be good for the country, but Obama just doesn't have the executive experience and is funded by some weird characters.
