I’m tired of pro-choice folks being re-named as pro-abortion.  This is simply not true.  Allow me for a minute, for the sake of argument, to redefine pro-choice.  Let’ s say that the choice in “pro-choice” is actually the choice of religion.  I think we can all agree that the freedom to worship as we please is a  good thing.  So, to simplify things a bit more for the sake of this argument, let’s say there are two choices in religion; Christianity and Islam.  Like in the abortion issue, there is either to abort the fetus or to have the child, then the choices are Christianity or Islam.  If you are then for the freedom of choice in religion, then according to the same logic that says that pro-choice are pro-abortion, then you, who supports the freedom to choose your religion, is therefore Pro-Islam.  Not exactly true, is it?  So, can’t we just say that there are many who are pro-choice ( legal but rare: the actual majority of pro-choicers) are not actually pro-abortion?

Pro choice resource center - literature supporting abortion
Pro choice league - literature supporting abortion
NOW -"NOW fully supports access to safe and legal abortion....."
Reproductive Rights - literature supporting abortion
Pro-Choice Medical Center ... "specializing in providing superior care to women in need of abortion services...".
A Pro Choice Clinic - "Medical & Surgical Abortions"
The lists goes on & on.

Let's be factually honest, you'd be hard pressed to find ONE "pro choice" anything that isn't simply pushing abortion. Not much 'choice' in that, is there.

Murder is murder no matter the tag you put on it.

Here's another slice at the pro-choice definition.

It is a woman's right to choose. She can choose not to have a baby by not having sex or by using proper birth control. If she chooses to have unprotected sex, then she is choosing to accept the consequences.

Choosing after the fact is called "refusing to be accountable for one's actions". The choice is made before the consequences manifest themselves, not afterwards.

So I guess I'm pro-choice and pro-being accountable.

Chard, their is a choice to even go to any of those places, that's where the choice comes into play. You can choose to have the baby and go to a center that can help you, or an adoption agency, or whatever, or you can choose abortion. I'm talking more about the average citizen being pro-life or pro-choice, not organizations.

Applewood, absolutely. Abortion should never be used as birth control, but there are instances where it is the best choice.

I guess I am reacting a little slow this late at night

But for the life of me

I cannot see how chosing to kill a baby is the best choice
