I have often wondered how many women in this country would be Mothers if they had to make a choice between Motherhood and career, I know I'll hear, that Mothers have to work these days, do they  really ?Unfortunately the many mothers become that way via sexual irresponsibility and without the benefit of marriage , so their is 2 invested people interested in the welfare of the child,  I noticed back in the 60's raising My own  children it became harder to make ends  meet when more and more women began working , I think there as little gained from women working , children are the losers when both parents work , but there was a noticable rise in inflation , just about every  consumable item increased at that time ,becuz of the extra disposible income for the family, My first full time job paid me about $350 a month, 5 yeaars later after changing jobs ( I moved 5 times one year) I was making about $700 a month had had 3 kids, still barely making ends meet but there were fewer and fewer and women staying home with  their  children , had no health insurance , but atthat  time people did not depend so much on Drs for their health , diet  , and the experience of the grandparents in raising children was was more important back then  iit was My opinion back then that feeding My  children well from home prepared foods was cheaper  than going to the Dr. , and still is. .

Somewhere around 1968, AMA came out with a  statement  saying people no longer had to eat healthy , they now knew enough to take care of people's health, WOW, what a profound statement , I thought at the time , that statement was a big mistake , and still do , it did accomplish what the AMA was hoping  for, filling up waiting rooms and that was to increase the income of Drs,  and it did work ,  now we have a health care system, that is overrun, and people developing new problems everyday with this increased use of healthcare and demand for it , supply and demand are big factors in the cost of healthcare also, the costs have increased just as dramatically,  the saying, "you are what you eat", could not mean more  than any other time in history .

I grew up in the old farm family background that lived off the land they raised almost all they  ate, and ate well, kids grew up eating what ever mom put on the table, there was none of this only  eating only what we like, stuff,  who ever heard of a child having the knowledge to know what is good for  them , with the profound statement of  the AMA, it seems to have absolved parents of the responsibility for feeding thier children properly but currently, not sure many parents know   what is  good for their own children , the health of our children depends largely on the care and  nutrition of the human immune system ,  and one of the things over given to most children anymore is antibiotics, parents are to eager for quick fixes, consequently instead of boosting the immune system, it is suppressed by not allowing it to develope natural immunities , to protect a person's health all their lives, I know for a fact, that I suffered just about every childhood illness possible 2 kinds of measles ,chickenpox, mumps, tonsilitis, and flu, to me, i think I've benefitted the rest of my life from  these things, I don't have colds or flu, up until 8 years ago, the only time i saw a Dr  was for My physical every 2 years for work , which was a  requirement of My profession , otherwise I would not have went then .

I do know for a fact  the preparation for good health begins at conception, the health of the mother  and what she consumes throughout pregnancy, is very importantto the health and developement of that  child and just as how that child is fed after birth is vitally important also continuing till that child reaches the age of majority , and is still the parents responsibity , probably the to worst childhood diseases today , childhood diabetes, and obesity, are probably started in the first year of that childs life, and maybe while still in the womb, the idea that anything that fills a childs belly  is fine, is totally wrong ,  failure to properly feed children, borderlines on a form of child abuse, becuz  of the effect it can have on their health the rest of their lives, just becuz it doesn't always show up till they are adults, doesn't mean it's not important , it's time for people to wake up to the fact, that each individual is responsible for their own health, just as parents are responsible for the  health of their children , becuz of this, I think a new label of abuse  should be added also , for taking care of their health , and how many times  you take your kids to the Dr, will not demonstrate your managing their  health , becuz He has no idea what you feed your child, till it's to late, the problem now, is the fact, that it has taken 40 years for these health problems and high costs to get to this point, and if all people started right now, it will take probably 40 years to  cure it,  and health insurance will not  cure these health  problems,  unfortunately, I know of no way they can measure the condition of the human immune system , I wish they could develope one , but in accuality, there is no reason  for modern medicine to do  so, becuz if people are healthy, they spend little time in the Drs office .

This is My own opinion of why health care is so expensive in this country , and why there are so many health problems developing, without cures , insurance will never cure this problem, only  common people can !

I am not for the government running our lives on this issue, but if people want the government to provide health  care, you can almost bet eventually they will , so with the upcoming elections consider this when you vote, do you really want government  intervention into our health care system , we already have them creeping into it on all the requirement for shots for children , and with government, give them an inch, and they will take a mile ,  so people be dilligent on what  you feel you expect  from government , becuz I'm sure it will cost more than just money , it will be another loss of our personal freedoms that we currently enjoy !
