11:15 PM Tuesday night....Thunderstorms continue to flare up across North Texas on the back side of a cold front. The primary threats with these storms overnight will be hail up to the size of quarters and frequent lightning. This appears to be the prelude to an extended bout of stormy weather as much of North Texas sits in a MODERATE RISK area for severe weather on Wednesday. Stronger storms are expected on Wednesday as a the front moves back toward North Texas and an upper level disturbance pinwheels in from West Texas. These storms may produce large hail, damaging winds, and a few isolated tornadoes. It looks like we'll catch a breather Wednesday evening, and then another round of storms is likely overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning. Stay tuned!
