Lazy Americans -- Douglas ChickWe are a country of fat lazy Americans, even our pets are fat. Blaming the Mexican workers for unemployment and the economy is a tactic to divert blame from the real culprits. If we kick out all the Mexicans, Who will harvest our vegetables and shovel the earth, and toil the land?  Who will do all the hard work while others collect unemployment, in their government assisted homes with air conditioning? A Cuban may stay in America if he or she can reach and touch the soil. That is their only qualification, touch the land receive immediate government assistance. I’m not suggesting that Cubans do not contribute to this country, but it is pale in comparison to the labor of Mexicans. Mexican workers are an American resource.

I find it suspicious that high tech jobs, degreed, and manufactured jobs are allowed to be outsourced to China and India, but losing your ditch digging, and your fruit picking job, is an outrage. There is no greater opportunity in any other country in the world as there are in the United States. If your job is in jeopardy by a Mexican worker, then you did not take advantage to all the opportunities granted to you by being born in this great country.

Mexicans, Liberals, and Conservative are not the problem in this country. The problem is the lobbyist that convinces Washington to allow U.S jobs to be sent to China and India.

Ask your congressmen, “Where’s the Jobs!”

Corporate greed is the problem. They hire the illegal parasites for low wages and they outsource jobs for the same reason.
I don't believe most Americans are lazy.

i agree with cbfan....its all done in the name of greed....it does not come down to laziness....i heard some quack on a talk radio show trying to convince all of us "lazy americans" that outsourcing is actually "good" for our economy...how in the world could someone cook up that one???....."umm yeah...it's GOOD if we give everyone's job away to someone else"....that's beyond any logic whatsoever....

I have no interest in illegal Mexicans staying here, taking our jobs. What disturbs me is that when the subject of lost jobs comes up, the politicans shift the problem to illegal mexicans taking America jobs. The truth is more likely that jobs are lost to China and India.

When McCain told Michigan people that jobs will never come back to Michigan, those people didn't lose them to illegal mexican workers, they lose many too legal mexican workers in mexican.

Like the Nazi's blaming the jews for a bad economy, the government seems to be rallying blame to the Mexicans, instead of their corporate partners.

Why does drive for profit always get labeled as greed?

We all want more than we have and try to hang on to as much of our money as we can, while getting as much as we can for it. Is this a universally bad thing?

Corporations are no different than us. They go overseas because they can get more for their money, same as we do shopping at Walmart.

Mexican labor is a bargain, more work for less. They exist here because they have no competition. Is that their fault? Is it greed that draws them and keeps them here? Or is it simply supply and demand. Want them to go home?
Then stop demanding their labor, but be prepared to pay more when the supply of labor goes south.

DouglasChick - you are so right:
"The problem is the lobbyist that convinces Washington to allow U.S jobs to be sent to China and India."
They have sold-out the American people. Washington has also sold-out the American people by allowing ILLEGAL immigrants to stay here. MAKE them become legal, productive citizens that contribute to the tax base like the rest do. These big corporations need to stop outsourcing our jobs and if the American people would stop buying their product - it would stop quickly. What could possibly be more NON-Patriot or UNAmerican than selling out our own country for the almighty dollar?

It was proved in 07, that the crops would be picked after Az. kicked out many illegals, there was not one tomato that was not picked all the farmers did was pay a little more and we payed alittle more at the grocery store, but we have food, so we don't need the illegals
and we all need to stop buying foreign products, then the comp. would bring back the work to the USA. This is my opimion about the jobs.

The issue, Doug, is that those you say we'd deport are breaking the law.

Americans are not lazy, they're apathetic.

I agree twotail. You said, "Why does drive for profit always get labeled as greed?"

It's liberal economic facism that drives that car. Anything that doesn't fall within the spectrum of providing dependency on the state and redistributing the wealth (true facism) is viewed as evil. The irony is that the exact opposite is true.
