Who really knows what those "things" are(incidents, meeting, observations), that we come across in our daily lives, that somehow make an impact, or provide some meaning to our lives?

We can all have theories, but the only true and honest answer is that no one knows.

Therefore, why do people promulgate the answers, when they sometimes don't even know the questions? Some risk their lives, or take others' lives, because their belief in something unknown, is that great. Don't get me wrong, religion, faith, belief & spirituality can be a wonderful & empowering thing to one's life. However, today, more than ever, it seems to be dubiously interwined with greed, power & fanaticism, which encroaches & encumbers the peaceful & quiet enjoyment of my own beliefs(which I would never stake my life on).

If people could only keep it to themselves, wouldn't the world be a better & safer place?

Who really knows what those "things" are(incidents, meeting, observations), that we come across in our daily lives, that somehow make an impact, or provide some meaning to our lives?---
Nothing to God is just an accident or by-chance event everything from before the foundation of the earth until the end of the age has been for-ordained by the one that created all things.

We can all have theories, but the only true and honest answer is that no one knows.-

Oh, but this is not true. God knows everything even to the number of every hair on your head and God has given us all that we need to know what is to come in his Word. It can be found in the Holy Bible Gods Word, Which is self-provable within it’s prophesies. From the Old testament to the New Testament there has been thousands of prophesy which over half has already been fulfilled and a lot are in the process of being fulfilled even as I write this post. Compare what is happening over in the middle east with what was said to come as well as the storms increased, natural disasters and the idea that people no longer need to believe in God. The bible said that this was coming and most of it is happing now. There will come a time that people will give up sound doctrine and follow those who tickle there ears (saying things that are pleasing and what they want to hear) and they will depart from the faith. But the bible warns that when you see these things don’t be deceived for they are going to come to the end and at judgment day they will realize that God was real and that what he had promised was also real but by that

time it will be to late.

Therefore, why do people promulgate the answers, ---

The Bible answers all these questions

when they sometimes don't even know the questions? ---

I don’t make it a habit to question God But at times I have and I always come back to the same answer God’s ways are not our ways and he knows everything from beginning to end even though we with our finite understanding can not see the whole picture we must still trust in the one that does know all things.

Some risk their lives,--

You have to understand that my life is not my own it was bought with a price and that price the beating and death of Jesus Christ on my behalf. I am devoted to the one that saved me and I can say this, that I will never deny the righteous one who gave his life for me even to save my own life because if my was to end because if not denying him then I will say like Paul said “To live is for Christ, to die is to gain”

or take others' lives, because their belief in something unknown, is that great.---

God does not want you to take others lives for his name sake God can handle his own battles. People who kill in the Name of God is very upsetting to God. But what your speaking of is a religion not one who has a Relationship with Jesus Christ. People have said ,”well what about the crusades in the dark ages” Well again this is a perfect example how a religion has taken control of Men and deceived them into thinking they are doing Gods work. The Bible says that there will come a day that many will say false things about you and even put you to death, Thin

Think they are doing Gods will when in reality they are not.

Don't get me wrong, religion, faith, belief & spirituality can be a wonderful & empowering thing to one's life. However, today, more than ever, it seems to be dubiously interwined with greed, power & fanaticism, which encroaches & encumbers the peaceful & quiet enjoyment of my own beliefs ----

I am telling you these comments and question have already been answered in the Bible right down to those money grubbing televangelist on TV. It is upsetting to me actually it makes me angry that many are deceived and cheated out of there money and they use the Name of my Holy God to do it and one day unless they repent will have to give an account of these things on Judgment day and God being just will see that they along with everyone else that has reject him will be punished the bible is clear on that.

(which I would never stake my life on).

Well you are staking your life on it your eternal life so make the right choice because once you leave this world that’s it.

If people could only keep it to themselves, wouldn't the world be a better & safer place?

There will never be real peace until Christ returns and restores what sin has destroyed.

Just a thought Doc; the Bible says to be fruitful and multiply. I wonder if that still holds true today considering we certainly have reached a state of overpopulation. I was raised a catholic for a few years and it was a sin to use birth control. Makes one wonder if the rules should be treated as guidelines. Blessed be.

Absolutes still stand. The Ten Commandments are there to keep us safe, protect us, and limit revenge in justice here on earth.
Every co-incidence is a God-incidence, a Divine Appointment for open door opportunity for good if we follow Christ in His Death and Resurection and in our hearts! We know all things work together for good to the called, those who loved God chosen for His good purpose. If we know there is no free lunch but grace is enough we can adventure spiritual journey at mercy nigh God's hand, effulging the Shekineh Glory of God's Winning Presence and living to win souls to God and Christ!!!!!!

Vittorio...thank you for your insight and honesty! There is nothing wrong with questioning that which we don't know, particularly with such frightening absolutes.

Minister_G....you speak of the Bible in ways I'm not sure it was intended, when conceived. Your faith is admirable, however, your narrow sense of focus, is a bit scary to me. I don't believe you understood the intent of my original post, base don what you've shared. Rather, you took my religious references as an opportunity to stand on your soap box. I thank you for your effort, however, I'm afraid my mind is a bit more open than those who listen to you.

davvvyc....your comment was also unresponsive to anthing I spoke of. Your God-incidence reference appears to go in a direction I neither agree, nor understand. Thanks for trying. You help me prove my own points. All the best.

I am aware we have moments of meaning each day and to deny we are of intelligent design and that all we experience is ordained of God is to deny that two and two equals four for my Bible says, "The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God." God delights in our recognizing all things come from His hand and our giving thanks. Can we not agree God intervenes in life? But thanks for trying yourself and to you.indeed, 'all the best.' I cannot but shout the high praises of God and weep over those who don't! It's true man has a lower sinful nature but that is why God intervened and SENT HIS SON! They call Him Jesus Who came to heal and forgive.. I agree to disagree with your world view, or in other words how you see the world. May you find life's blessings and the Source primarily.

Sounds like God is an egomaniac, based on your description of "Him"( how do you know God is not a "her" or an "it"?).
davvvyc ...you have no idea what my world view is!
You also have no idea what my spirituality is, or where it comes from. I venture to guess it may be in part because you are so blinded & beholden to such a structured manner of preaching righteousness, likely to counteract some "wrong" you committed in the past. I hope it works for you. For me, I can look at things clearly, and make my own decisions & choices, for what I see as best in my life.

I find low-level amateur poetry, on the internet, to be a crime against art, language and intellect. We often see examples of these artistic travesties, suffering from a level of saccharine sentimentality that would make both the Osmond family and Hallmark greeting card authors vomit! As the social rules go for nose-picking, perhaps they should also be applied to the need for one to express oneself, in this high order of literary craftsmanship....if you have to do it, do it in private! I must quote the visionary Elie Weisel, when he said, "There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest".
