After a week of winter, and ANOTHER cold front tonight....there is light at the end of the tunnel. We should be able to see the 60s again later this weekend! OH, but here's the price we have to pay. Temps will head DOWN again tomorrow, with highs not getting out of the 30s. With the cold air in place....moisture will spread in THURSDAY night into FRIDAY. While Friday afternoon temps should get to 40 degrees...the nighttime and early morning readings will be below freezing for 1/3 to 1/2 of the area (esp. from the Metroplex North and West). As rain falls into the colder air, it will freeze in icy patches (FREEZING RAIN). That could create hazardous conditions early FRIDAY MORNING. Stay tuned to FOX4 for fine tuning of this storm system....

Woke up this morning to a cold place. What messy weather that Texas has.

I’m the guy who gets up at 3am to get the forecast on the air each morning on GOOD DAY! Other than being constantly sleep deprived and taking afternoon naps, there is life after TV! I spend most of my free time with my wife and best friend, Lori. She is an amazing woman who keeps me sane and gives me a dose of reality if I need it. She has stuck by me and my lousy hours for over 5 years and counting! During the school year I visit elementary school kids and teach them a few interesting tidbits about the weather. It makes me appreciate the teachers in our country. I spend the rest of my time trying to stay fit, cooking and trading stocks! I grew up with a father who is a CPA so I learned about the world of business and markets. I don’t like the term “day trader” but I am an active market “timer”. So I can tell you tomorrow’s weather forecast OR forecast for the trend in oil or the NASDAQ! I have a "teenager" and two "tweenagers" in our blended family. They help keep me "young". Well, at least they educate me on what it's like to be young!
