Most of us (except the SOUND sleepers) ended up awake from some big time thunderstorms last night...but now we get a couple of days to relax. Gusty winds this afternoon will usher in cool but seasonable February air. Temps will begin another warm-up tomorrow afternoon and continue into Valentines Day. That night, a strong cold front will careen through, and drop temps into the weekend. That's where the challenge begins. Our computers are all over the place with the next storm.
We KNOW it will be COLD. Highs near 40 degrees into Saturday. And we know there will be rain...and there may be enough cold air to have a wintry mix, especially West. Depending on the track of the storm, it may be widespread...or just for 1/2 of the area. Stay tuned for a rather interesting week of forecasting!

I’m the guy who gets up at 3am to get the forecast on the air each morning on GOOD DAY! Other than being constantly sleep deprived and taking afternoon naps, there is life after TV! I spend most of my free time with my wife and best friend, Lori. She is an amazing woman who keeps me sane and gives me a dose of reality if I need it. She has stuck by me and my lousy hours for over 5 years and counting! During the school year I visit elementary school kids and teach them a few interesting tidbits about the weather. It makes me appreciate the teachers in our country. I spend the rest of my time trying to stay fit, cooking and trading stocks! I grew up with a father who is a CPA so I learned about the world of business and markets. I don’t like the term “day trader” but I am an active market “timer”. So I can tell you tomorrow’s weather forecast OR forecast for the trend in oil or the NASDAQ! I have a "teenager" and two "tweenagers" in our blended family. They help keep me "young". Well, at least they educate me on what it's like to be young!
