There is just no reason that a place that be allowed in a neighborhood where there are children and familie that reside.  Now the investigation they stated that there was prostitution as well in that house.   What is this world coming too.  The Ducanville Police went there along with ATF. Gathering evidense.     There are people in this society think that they can cleam in the glamour of easy street.  But it only lasts did they get caught.

I have written about this place before. The Cherry Pit advertises and takes money they are not a social club. They are a BLEEP house.

yes I hear ya. I can't see what these people were thinking that they doing this sort of problem for the nieghborhood. I'm one that is glad that the law went there and shut it down. The problems there. They were breaking state law among other things that the did. I hope that IRS goes after them also.

I had never heard of this dump until the bust.

Wow, that was straight up arrogance on their part, huh?

I freaked out on all those beds hooked together.

Heads will roll eventually.

Reports indicate that the people who attend bring their own booze, like a BYOB event. Thus, they would not be needing a liquor license and further reports indicate they do not sell alcohol. As to why TABC took the alcohol, should be an interesting and learning event to read.

As for the donations that are accepted, yes that could be questionable in the eyes of the IRS. Could it be said that this is nothing different than having a block party and those who do not bring potluck food items to donate money instead? Don't know, but that definitely is an interesting IRS situation.

You told that there is no telling how many other places like this that are operating in the metroplex that just have not been reported yet as we all know. But as the news media keeps on top of this. These places will soon be uncovered where ever they operate.

I tell you what that is a lot of partys that place has. The neighbors have a right to complaint to the law and have that place shut down. Alcohol may not be the only thing that they serve there. There are restrictions of serving drinks in a residential area. This not a place that has parties everynight there. There are laws that do apply they are subject to them like any other business practise that being conduct. As the IRS sees it any donations that excepted there is earned income and is subject to the tax laws.

This all started when the neighbors complained about the noise and parking problems that this place caused. Evidently some of these "good fiends" were also taking their show outside. I wouldn't want them in my neighborhood .I feel that if they advertise and charge admission they are a commercial enterprise and they do not belong in a family neighborhood.

The Cherry Pit simply needed to list themselves as a church and they never would have been raided. They could have said they were simply practicing their religion by loving one another. LOL

LOL phrank!

The things folks will do to avoid getting an SOB license...

If it's just among friends, I find it amazing that they have thousands of 'friends', much less any friends who'd want to do the nasty with them. Have you SEEN what the owners look like?

They should be prosecuted for : conducting high-traffic Sex-Business in a residential area (city code violations, permits, etc), TABC stuff, IRS stuff, but not for morality-based issues. Morality should not be legislated. Area-controlled, yes, but not legislated.

scottythecomic I have always come to know that there was all these zoning laws. I believe that they open this type of business without the city of Duncanville's approval. They simple went behind the citys back though that they could get away with it until when there were complaints made and the news media televised about these peoploe the first time that they were reported

You may very well be correct. I know D-ville is out for blood!

I just hope that the city of Duncanville will bring this much further and charge the owners instead of a slap on the wrist. So others out there that believe in this type behavior will know what is in store for them if they should want to take the city of Duncanville on.
