Over a year ago, I watched a news report on a fox station about a man in his garage that had built a hydrogen torch using water and electrolysis, and later converted his car to run on the same method.  So the car companies with millions of RandD money can't do this but a man with maybe a few thousand dollars in his garage can?  Give me a break!  It's here and it's very possible, just the oil companies won't let it get to the market.  I emailed fox to ask whatever became of this, and got no response.  I believe at the time he was in the process of forming Hydrogen Technologies Inc.  It seems the oil companies are keeping occupied with the worry about gas prices so we forget about the already possibilities of other alternatives.

I see by the commercials it's time for my tax money to pay cops overtime to sit around and find those dangerous seatbelt "violators"!  I hope we aren’t dumb enough to believe the misleading stats the government feeds us to make us believe the seatbelt law is for any other reason than to raise money.  I noticed from the crying about the less red light runners that nothing the government does is for my safety but rather a calculated gamble that there will be violations to any law, which produces tickets which produces fines and thus income.  Too bad they don't put as much money and effort into catching real criminals, oh yeah I forgot when you take a burglar to jail, you don't get any fines from him, and therefore they'd rather spend efforts on ticket producing "crime".  You'd actually have to dig in and do the research and read the numbers correctly, not the way the government "counts", to realize the seatbelt law is nothing but another baby step to control and parent the public and produces little if any additional safety.  I can smoke myself into a comma knowing that smoking IS a cause of lung cancer, but I can't ride in MY car without a seatbelt which is only good IF I'm in an accident and then it's does very little good, as we all know, if it's your time, you will go seatbelt or not.  Even Luke 12 tells us, "25Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? 26Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?"  Certainly the Bible is not speaking about seatbelts; however it's very clearly stating that we cannot add a single hour to our life!

It's appalling that Capehart won district 2, especially after she told me in a telephone conversation she and I had a week or so ago that since I did not agree with her on the red light camera issue, if one of my family members were to be hurt or killed in at an intersection without a camera, she would not feel sorry for me.  Boy I tell ya, that's what I want is a "leader" that would have no sympathy for anyone involved in a tragedy if they did not agree on political issue with them!  Way to go Arlington, you voted in another loser for our city council.   I did write the star telegram about this issue but they refused to let the public know the truth about those who were running for office.

I'm really tired of seeing toll road after toll road pop up in the DFW area.  I know that a toll isn't called a tax, but I begin to think about it and I pay a tax on every gallon of gas for roads, I pay a road and bridge "fee" every year to register my truck, and now I have to pay to drive on the road my taxes and "fees" were supposed to build and maintain?  Yet TXDOT is wanting to put up $28mm to build a park in Dallas!  I say we all avoid toll roads as much as possible, stop paying taxes 3 times for the same road!  Tell our representatives to use the money correctly and stop taxing/"feeing" us to death!

I have noticed on many occasions the unconstitutional red light cameras taking pictures while there was no violation being committed. I questioned my council member on this and she assured me, "there are no pictures taken if no violation is committed."  After a friend of mine received a red light violation I noticed that not only are there still pictures, but also about a 20 second video that started well before his car was even in the frame.  Once again I questioned, how did that camera know he was going to run the red light?  I was then told that they screen out the non-violations.  My council member then told me that if I did not want my rights violated, I should stay in my house.  So what our government is telling us now is that if you don't want your constitutional rights violated, you have to stay in your house?  I thought my rights existed throughout the entire United States?  I had always assumed that if you were unwilling to risk having a car accident, you simply did not get in a car, while now it seems if you are unwilling to have your rights violated you simply stay in your house, at least according to my arlington city council member who seems to be more concerned with the money generated rather than the constitution that was paid for many years ago with the lives of many real Americans!  I have never asked my government to guarantee my safety, because they can't do that!  I have asked my government to protect my rights, which they can do but seems it is not willing to do in lieu of some extra revenue.  I guess it's my mistake, as I did not know that my rights were only guaranteed within the boundaries of my own home.  I had a history teacher tell me in high school that the communists believed they could take over the United States without ever firing a shot, I did not believe him, but now I see it's being done step by step.  It seems I served in the military in vain to defend freedom as our government officials were working overtime to take it away.

I ran across an article on the Newsweek website, I'll provide the link below, but I found it interesting in the fact it was reporting on Osama Obama's statement that he doesn't take money from oil companies when by law corporations can't contribute directly to any candidate, yet it does find where he has accepted some pretty good donations from personal in high places at these oil companies.  He says he's not anti-American, yet his close personal friend and spiritual mentor is, he says he didn't know about it, but now that he does know, does nothing about it, and now he says he doesn't take money from oil companies which at the least is very misleading as the only reason I can even think that he would make that statement would be to make you think that the others do, when in fact they cannot but he does accept them from some very high persons that work for those same oil companies.  Here is the link to see for yourself.  When are all these Osama Obama supporters going to wake up and realize how dangerous this guy would be in the white house!  I can only assume they are just as anti-American as he is with the truth being known and people still support him.

I heard Osama Obama on the news today saying that of the 3 only 1 got it right when it came to the war in Iraq, insinuating it was he since he did not vote for the war, and to my understanding wasn't even there to vote thus did not vote against it either.  However I guess my question to him would be so, he believed that the people of Iraq do not deserve freedom, and that a dictator such as Saddam should be left in charge so that he can rebuild his WMD program as he admitted he was planning to do in an FBI interview after his capture.  So Mr. Obama when would be the time to go in after Saddam, after the WMD program was in full swing so that he could use them against our troops?  Fact is we have lost less than 4000 honorable men and women to date in a WAR lasting 5 years, but why don't we bring the light the 10,000 honorable men and women we lost during Clinton's 8 years in office without a war?

Ever walked up to pay your water bill or some other bill to find that the entity has a sign stating that they do not accept cash?  Yet when I look on the front of ANY dollar bill, I find the following statement: "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private"  so I wonder if cash can legally be turned down when attempting to pay an obligation?

Gov. Richardson is now showing his anti-Americanism by now supporting Osama Obama!  If you think for one second that Osama Obama sat in that church and was close friends with "Rev" Wright and did not know of his racist and anti-American views you are simply too dumb to vote!

Has anyone even looked at the website for Trinity United Church of Christ?  In case you haven't or are still in denial about Obama, here a little clip, I believe point 4 of their 10 point vision should show you why this man should never be President of the United States of America!

We are a congregation which is Unashamedly Black and Unapologetically Christian... Our roots in the Black religious experience and tradition are deep, lasting and permanent. We are an African people, and remain "true to our native land," the mother continent, the cradle of civilization. God has superintended our pilgrimage through the days of slavery, the days of segregation, and the long night of racism. It is God who gives us the strength and courage to continuously address injustice as a people, and as a congregation. We constantly affirm our trust in God through cultural expression of a Black worship service and ministries which address the Black Community.

The Pastor as well as the membership of Trinity United Church of Christ is committed to a 10-point Vision:

  1. A congregation committed to ADORATION.
  2. A congregation preaching SALVATION.
  3. A congregation actively seeking RECONCILIATION.
  4. A congregation with a non-negotiable COMMITMENT TO AFRICA.
  5. A congregation committed to BIBLICAL EDUCATION.
  6. A congregation committed to CULTURAL EDUCATION.
  7. A congregation committed to the HISTORICAL EDUCATION OF AFRICAN PEOPLE IN DIASPORA.
  8. A congregation committed to LIBERATION.
  9. A congregation committed to RESTORATION.
  10. A congregation working towards ECONOMIC PARITY.

see http://www.tucc.org/about.htm for more info on this what looks to me to be nothing more than a racist organization.

Just curious, where will his commitment to America be, above or below #4?

The Real Barack Obama

By: Ronald Kessler

Michelle Obamas comment that, for the first time in her adult life, she feels proud of America helps crystallize who Barack Obama is.

To be sure, the wife of a candidate is perfectly free to have views that are distinct from her husbands. But on a matter that is so fundamental to ones being as love of country, it is difficult to imagine that Michelle Obama would publicly twice make such a statement suggesting disdain for America unless she felt it comported with her husbands views.

Equally important, her statement aligns perfectly with the hate-America views of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obamas minister, friend, and sounding board for more than two decades. On the Sunday following 9/11, Wright characterized the terrorist attacks as a consequence of violent American policies. Four years later, Wright suggested that the attacks were retribution for Americas racism.

In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01, Wright wrote in his church magazine Trumpet. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just disappeared as the Great White West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns.

Wright has been a key supporter of Louis Farrakhan, and in December, honored the Nation of Islam leader for lifetime achievement, saying he truly epitomize[s] greatness.

Farrakhan has repeatedly made hate-filled statements targeting Jews, whites, America, and homosexuals.

Those who think two of the closest people to Obama could publicly make anti-America statements unless Obama himself felt that way, are fooling themselves. To date, Obama has proven himself to be nothing more than a great orator, rendering the statements of those around him even more important in illuminating his true character and agenda. During his Senate career, he skipped 17 percent of the votes and sponsored only one bill that became law. That bill was to promote relief, security, and democracy in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Bereft of official accomplishments, Obama has distinguished himself mainly by being against measures that protect American security, such as finishing the mission in Iraq. If we were to leave Iraq quickly, as Obama vows he would do, it would become a launch pad for al-Qaida attacks on the U.S.

Obama avoided voting on extending the Protect America Act, thus putting America at risk when immediate interception of terrorist communications is required. Last August, Obama voted against a measure that would have allowed the U.S. to continue to monitor overseas conversations of terrorists like Osama bin Laden without first obtaining a warrant.

If his radical vote had prevailed, bin Laden would have been given the same rights as Americans.

To this day, Obama has not distanced himself from most of Rev. Wrights comments. In a statement supposedly issued to address the matter, Obama ignored the point that his minister and friend had spoken adoringly of Farrakhan and that Wrights church was behind the award to the Nation of Islam leader. Instead, as outlined in a Jan. 17 Newsmax article, he disingenuously claimed he thought the magazine bestowed the award on Farrakhan for his efforts to rehabilitate ex-prisoners.

Neither Wrights encomiums about Farrakhan nor the Trumpet article mentions ex-prisoners.

Similarly, after John McCains wife Cindy responded to Michelle Obamas remarks by telling a Wisconsin rally, I have, and always will be, proud of my country, Barack Obama told a radio interviewer that his wife did not say what people think she said. He then proceeded to rewrite her comments, claiming that she had meant she was encouraged by the large numbers of people who have gotten involved in the political process. Michelle Obama then made a similar revision of her remarks.

In her speech in Milwaukee, Michelle Obama said flatly, For the first time in my adult lifetime, I am ... proud of my country, and not just because Barack has done well, but because I think people are hungry for change.

And what has been wrong with America up to now? That it gave Michelle the opportunity to attend Princeton and Harvard Law School? That it gave Barack Obama the chance to attend Harvard and Harvard Law School and become a U.S. senator making more than $1 million a year from book royalties?

Was it that America stopped Nazi Germany from continuing to murder millions of Jews? That America has provided Africa and other countries with $15 billion to combat the spread of AIDS/HIV and that another $30 billion is on the way? That 46 percent of all Americans classified by the Census Bureau as poor own their own homes, 76 percent of them have air conditioning, and 75 percent of them have at least one car? Or that America allows us to express our views freely without fear of being put in jail, as is the case in Russia?

A lawyer, Michelle Obama is perfectly capable of expressing herself precisely. In fact, she spoke from a written speech.

Those who do not want to believe she meant what she said and that Barack Obama could not be so close to Rev. Wright if he did not himself believe in much of what he has said are in denial.

The real Barack Obama is starting to emerge, and for those of us who are grateful to America for everything it represents, it is not a pretty sight.

Obama's wife is just now feeling proud to be an American?  Why just now is she only proud when things are going her way?  I think our media needs to make as big of a fuss about this as they would if it were Cindy McCain that made that comment!  We need to keep a family that hasn't been proud to be Americans for the past 30-40 years out of the white house!

Now just because the Clintons are pimping their daughter out for Hillary's campaign and a reporter calls her out on it she gets offended.  Well I'd say that's her right, just as it's his right to make that statement however the Clintons have managed to get the reported suspended in what apparently is their fight against the freedom of speech!  it's also this type of anti-constitutionalism that needs to be kept out of the white house!

Although I would have liked the Packers to go to the superbowl, I guess the Giants earned a trip by beating the dallas land theves.  Again thank you Giants for knocking them out of the bid and may the cowboys never win again!

dallas and jones finally got what they deserve,  the luck ran out and the dallas land theves lost AT HOME, how sweet it it!  Nothing better than watching them lose at home in the playoffs!

They may have just put the Dallas land theves out of a superbowl bid.  I believe it was on the news that in all the years the land theves have never made a trip to the superbowl when they've lost the last game of the season!

I live in Arlington; do all my taxable shopping outside Arlington so my money doesn’t go to Jones. My lifelong dream is to see Jones pack his bags and go back to Arkansas, and as a bonus he'd take "Mayor Mc" Cluck with him though they'd probably kick'em both out of the state. I grew up a Cowboys fan but seeing Jones' willingness to sacrifice the class the organization once had do anything to win along with his ability to steal land just because he has more money has caused me to love to watch'em loose! May they never win another superbowl! ABC-Anyone But the Cowboys!
