Arlington "Elections"

It's appalling that Capehart won district 2, especially after she told me in a telephone conversation she and I had a week or so ago that since I did not agree with her on the red light camera issue, if one of my family members were to be hurt or killed in at an intersection without a camera, she would not feel sorry for me.  Boy I tell ya, that's what I want is a "leader" that would have no sympathy for anyone involved in a tragedy if they did not agree on political issue with them!  Way to go Arlington, you voted in another loser for our city council.   I did write the star telegram about this issue but they refused to let the public know the truth about those who were running for office.

Gohome , you have had so many problems with your beloved city that I wonder why you continue to live there and fight a losing battle because you ain't making one iota of a difference

just looking out for you because OBVIOUSLY Jones ain't packing NO bags , he's so deep into Arlington that you'll be dead a 100 years and the Cowboy stadium will still be standing

To paraphrase from one of my favorite movies " I haven't seen [then] do one smart thing all day.' First the city has a mayor with a silly name who evidently has gotten some serious payback in attention from Jerry Jones. Secondly, Arlington burdened their citizens with higher taxes to pay their share, while all Jerry had to do was raise prices! And finally, I see it coming that Jerry and Cluck (that sounds like some cartoon show, doesn't it?)will come to Dallas asking/demanding that money be magically made available to solve Arlington's transportation woes. If it's not on the drawing board already, you can say you heard it here first. Jerry Jones is a snake oil salesman and the only person he's interested in helping is himself.

sorry, but yes we are getting out of arlington as soon as possible! just waiting on the house to sell.

I live in Arlington; do all my taxable shopping outside Arlington so my money doesn’t go to Jones. My lifelong dream is to see Jones pack his bags and go back to Arkansas, and as a bonus he'd take "Mayor Mc" Cluck with him though they'd probably kick'em both out of the state. I grew up a Cowboys fan but seeing Jones' willingness to sacrifice the class the organization once had do anything to win along with his ability to steal land just because he has more money has caused me to love to watch'em loose! May they never win another superbowl! ABC-Anyone But the Cowboys!
