When all else fails try this:

Go to the IRS District Office located in downtown Dallas and talk to an agent face to face. Take all of your paperwork and ID. It is located at 1400 Commerce St. in Dallas, in the Frank Crowley Courts Building. That is about a 14 story bldg. The IRS office is on the first floor in the back. You will have to go through a metal detector to get in. You do not have to have an appointment but be prepared to wait. When you drive under the underpass, stay in the left lane althouth the building is on the right. Park in the lot which is one block down on the left for $7. You will not find another place to park. Then walk back to the bldg.

Type that addresss in your Google search and you will get a map of the area. You should extend the map so that you will know how to get off of I-30 on to Commerce St. IT IS VERY TRICKY driving to get there. If you miss it, it is very difficult to get back to it because of the one-way streets, and the traffic is horrific.

I was having problems getting mine to and I to kept calling and Finally they gave me a number for the IRS Help hotline and they told me what the problem was I to got a letter saying it would be here by a certain day and when I didnt recieve it I called alot untill I actually talked to a Person not those dam automated things,But I a sorry I no longer have the number.But i do remember it was called the IRS HELP Hotline. hope this info will help you get the answer you are looking for.

I did one year and my check didn't come as the time allotted to arrived. I complainted went online and still nothing. Well six months pass by then I complaint to a service called adovate of the IRS. They finally got the ball rolling only to hear that they lose the paperwork and I had to resubmitt everything. Man was I mad. I finally got it, but they added interest to it for being late. Then they told me that interest that they added that there will be a 1099 form sent so when I file next year cause they state since it is earn income that I have recieve.

GOOD LUCK! A lot of people I have talked to have not received what they expected. I received $240.27, now figure how they come up with that amount???? I worked, received SS and my retirement. I paid income tax. My friend that is single and has not worked in over 10 yrs. and gets SS got $600. My daughter and her husband had 4 dependents only received $600 total. Makes you wonder who got what not only when they might get it. I do know if you owed taxes they may withhold some, if you owe child support it could have been sent to the state or the custodial parent. Like I said, GOOD LUCK, you are dealing with the IRS. I was told they started making the checks out before April 15th and people had not sent in what they owed.

Do as Monty Python would do "Fart in their general direction". That will probably accomplish as much as talking to someone at the IRS, if you live long enough to get through the gauntlet of their automated system.
