Hi! Welcome to FOX4’s new website – what do you think? I have been at FOX almost 6 years now and it’s amazing to see how interactive we have become. Of course there’s always been the Viewers Voice (Fridays at 5:30 and 9!), but we started our “All Access” phone lines earlier this year and now we have our blogs – another way for you to tell us what’s on your mind. So what’s on my mind right now? Prince. Not William or Harry. But the man formerly known as a symbol – who is now Royalty again. When he hit the AI stage during the finale show – I got chills! He completely validated “American Idol” as a true star maker. So were you one of the 30 million who watched? And did you pick Taylor? Let me know! Have a great day!

I was very impressed to see how STEVE was impressed. I think he said, "Boy, if you can get Prince, you've ARRIVED."

Or something like that.

Hiya Heather! I had to stop by to add my comments. Both you and Steve work so well together, like a well oiled machine. Thanks for bringing us the news.

Aloha!! I am sorry it took so long to write back - I have been on vacation visiting family in Pensacola and Atlanta. Thanks for the kind words about me and Steve - he's such a great guy - and one of my best friends. I am glad that shows on air.
I saw on your bio that your Dad still lives in Kaneohe - love it there. I lived in Waikiki for the 6 years or so that I lived in Hawaii. I didn't have a car then and so the buses in Waikiki made getting around a lot easier! :)

Howzit Heather! Well the local transit(buses)run clear around the entire island now, and for a fraction of what you'd pay to drive around the island. My Dad unfortunately is battling a type of bone cancer that normally would disable a normal person but he's not letting that stop him from going to Vegas every once in awhile. Aloha

Hmm... next time he goes to Vegas - give him a dollar for me! I hope he feels well for a long long time!

Heather: the best to you and Jeff !
You are entitled to be excited/nervous/ and even more excited. Bridezilla?! No, of course not. Just happy and it shows.
Even Roscoe gets 'the butterflies.'
It is nice to know that you found your prince. And so the story continues... the very best to you both. You deserve it!
Heather and Steve E. are always good to watch, so keep on, keeping on.

I anchor the 6 and 9 p.m. news – along with my dear friend and "work husband" Steve Eagar. Together we have won Edward R. Murrow, AP, and Katie Awards (Thanks for carrying me, Steve!). And I won an Emmy for Best Anchor. But now I have a new role - Mommy! Jeff and I have two little girls - Emmy (Jeff said I have an Emmy - so he wants one, too!) and Lily Rae. The girls are 14 months apart so we definitely have our hands full! But it's wonderful!! I also want to tell you about my volunteer work - speaking to groups about suicide awareness. I lost my former fiance’ to suicide and recently published a book called "Surviving Suicide." You can find out more about that at www.heatherhays.com. Playtime is spent with the cutest chocolate lab ever, Rosco, and my amazing husband, Jeff - and of course, Emmy and Lily Rae. Thanks for checking in and have a great day!
