Whew - It's over!! It's official - we are Mr. and Mrs.! Jeff and I had a wonderful time on our wedding cruise. I am sorry for taking so long posting photos - but I thought since we are all here in North Texas in the freezing temps, this would be the perfect time to check out the sunny beaches of Cozumel!

So where do I start? The ceremony and reception on board Royal Caribbean's "Splendour of the Seas" was beautiful - from being escorted down the aisle by my Dad, to our friend Mark Rankin who married us (he and his now-wife Jana got engaged with Jeff and I last June in St. Maarten), to the duet my brothers sang during the ceremony ("God Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts). It truly was a magical day - although somewhat of a blur. Thank goodness for photos and video or I wouldn't remember anything!! It all went so fast.

After the reception - the ship set sail for Cozumel and Costa Maya. There were 36 people cruising with us - lots of family and friends to celebrate our Union for an entire week! Thank you everyone for coming - and also - a huge thanks to Cynthia from World Ventures for organizing everything!! And much love to Nikki and Roberto who helped get me ready for the wedding. I couldn't have done it without y'all!

I am off for another week - but this time it's not for a wedding. I came down with bronchitis - so I will be staying inside where it's warm until next week. So until then - take care!! And thanks for all the emails asking about the wedding!! :)

Congratulations and good luck.

Does anyone remember the days when it was appropriate to say congratulations to the groom and good luck to the bride. That is a very old custom.

Heather, you were a beautiful bride. ;-)

Hi Everyone - and thanks for the kind words. I am having so much fun looking through all the wedding photos. It was a wonderful day! Although if anyone has any scrapbooking ideas - I would love to hear them. It's a bit overwhelming!!

On another note - thanks for the "get well" wishes. I am feeling better and will be back to work next week! Bronchitis is the worst!!!

Congratulations on the wedding and the marriage. From the picture of you and Jeff's daughter, it looks you have and she have a great relationship. That' wonderful, too.

I was given a scrapbook for Christmas that was done with FREE software. I am not one to sit and cut things out, so I am going to try it myself. If you are interested, I will email you the link to the software. You can also download background, themes, etc. Also, you if you find paper that would normally be used in a scrapbook, you can scan it in and use it as a background.

Glad you feel better.

Thanks NorthTX for the scrapbooking idea - and sure - just email me the link to heather.hays@foxtv.com I really appreciate it!! Something to do while I get better!! Oh, as for Cecily - Jeff's daughter - she is an angel and we do have a great relationship!!

And Noneya - great to hear from you - especially since we usually talk football!!

Congratulations! I was going to suggest the same thing that NorthTX did on the scrapbooking idea. You can also buy wedding-themed kits that make it a lot easier if you want to do it by hand. My husband and I got married on a Carnival cruise; wasn't it nice to have someone else plan the details?

I hope you feel better soon. We miss your smiling face!

Heather,

Congratulations!! It was so wonderful meeting you both in Cosumel. You and Jeff make a beautiful couple..although I think it's mostly you:) I am going to email you the picture I took of ya'll in front of the cruise ship.

Also, photoworks.com is where I do all of my albums. You simply upload and arrange your photos, then they mail you a nice album. Very simple.

Hope to see you back soon..
God Bless,
Susanne

Glad to have you back Mrs. R/Ms.H

Great pictures. You were beautiful, as expected. I loved the one of you with your little brothers. I know you are pretty tall and you taller than most in the Robert's Women photo, but it looks like Jeff has a sister that has you beat by at least half a head.

Glad you're feeling better. Look for you next week. We need some sunshine.

I anchor the 6 and 9 p.m. news – along with my dear friend and "work husband" Steve Eagar. Together we have won Edward R. Murrow, AP, and Katie Awards (Thanks for carrying me, Steve!). And I won an Emmy for Best Anchor. But now I have a new role - Mommy! Jeff and I have two little girls - Emmy (Jeff said I have an Emmy - so he wants one, too!) and Lily Rae. The girls are 14 months apart so we definitely have our hands full! But it's wonderful!! I also want to tell you about my volunteer work - speaking to groups about suicide awareness. I lost my former fiance’ to suicide and recently published a book called "Surviving Suicide." You can find out more about that at www.heatherhays.com. Playtime is spent with the cutest chocolate lab ever, Rosco, and my amazing husband, Jeff - and of course, Emmy and Lily Rae. Thanks for checking in and have a great day!
