...and that is perfect!! I went to the PeriNatalogist today - and he did our weekly bio-physical test.. and the baby is an 8!! The test is similar to the APGAR test - but it's an 8 point scale, not a 10 point scale.

She has also grown quite a bit - weighing in at 4 pounds 10 ounces. That's about a week ahead of schedule. If she stays on this track - she will be between 8.5 and 9 pounds when she is born. If you want a closer look - check out the 4D photos we had done last week (in my photo album). She even has one eye on us the whole time! Just wanted to share the exciting news - Have a great day!

Heather, this is fantastic news!By any chance the story that Fox4 will be doing tonight, will that by any chance be about your baby?
HAPPY Valentine's Day to you and Jeff.

And Happy Valentines to you, too! No - the baby is John Hammarley's story is not our baby - I think tonight we are going to be live with a couple when they find out what the sex of their baby is!! There is no way Jeff and I could do that on TV - we were both crying when we found out!! He may have been crying more though - because I think he wanted a boy! He's one of those dads, though, who will end up in a house full of women and LOVE it!!

But as far as 4D images - we have had those done twice at StorkVision - and love them! It's amazing how you can really see what she looks like. And she does look like Jeff and Jeff's daughter, Cecily, when she was born. She is already gorgeous (ugh - here I go into the proud Mom syndrome!!). :)

Check out the 4D images in my photo album and let me know what you think!

I am so glad your baby is so healthy!! My first was 8.11 when she was born & was such a laid-back baby! All she would do was sort of whimper when she was hungry & that was it. I'm so glad all of our prayers are being answered for you & your family.

I've never noticed the weight thing to be very accurate lol! But I don't know what that test is...they start testing kids WAAAAY too young these days, lmao.

Mine were 8 11 & 9 7 respectively...the boy was the bigger.

All came out well...congrats to you and enjoy the pregnancy...it's the easiest time of all!

Hi RScott - a few BBQ's huh??? I feel more like I have moved the Blue Bell ice cream factory into my kitchen!! But I am loving it!!

Thanks everyone for all the supportive words. Ryngwrayth - you are right - I need to enjoy this time. It's been (knock on wood) a really easy pregnancy (I think!!). I never got morning sickness - not once - and besides swollen feet and being tired and out of breath lately - that's truly about it. So I feel blessed to have good health for my baby and me. Now let's hope things stay that way til the end!

Oh, JuneC - I was 9 lbs when I was born - and my mom said I was very easy. Ate and slept but didn't really cry. Maybe bigger babies are easier!! :)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Heather & Baby

I anchor the 6 and 9 p.m. news – along with my dear friend and "work husband" Steve Eagar. Together we have won Edward R. Murrow, AP, and Katie Awards (Thanks for carrying me, Steve!). And I won an Emmy for Best Anchor. But now I have a new role - Mommy! Jeff and I have two little girls - Emmy (Jeff said I have an Emmy - so he wants one, too!) and Lily Rae. The girls are 14 months apart so we definitely have our hands full! But it's wonderful!! I also want to tell you about my volunteer work - speaking to groups about suicide awareness. I lost my former fiance’ to suicide and recently published a book called "Surviving Suicide." You can find out more about that at www.heatherhays.com. Playtime is spent with the cutest chocolate lab ever, Rosco, and my amazing husband, Jeff - and of course, Emmy and Lily Rae. Thanks for checking in and have a great day!
