Hi Everyone! It's Emmy Roberts! Mom is on maternity leave, so I thought I would play the role of "American Idol" Insider Correspondent and bring you the scoop on Jason Castro Day! About 5,000 people waited in the 95 degree heat to cheer on Rockwall's own. And Jason definitely did not disappoint! The streets were lined with fans greeting the AI finalist - who jumped from a convertible to a catamaran to make a grand entrance at The Harbor - where he put on a great mini-concert.

Mommy, Daddy, and I had a beautiful suite (with a great balcony overlooking the lake!!) at the Hilton Bella Harbor - so we got to stay in the AC to watch the show below (Mom got a little too hot walking around outside, so it was good we had a room!! Plus - my not-even-born-yet baby sister is almost 8 pounds already - and Mom is a LOT more than that!!). Jason sang 4 songs (including "Over the Rainbow") - but the real crowd pleaser was "Deep in the Heart of Texas!" I clapped and cheered  at the dreadlocked crooner.

After Jason's show - it was time for a meet and greet! And guess who was first in line to say "Welcome home".... me!! I was getting a little cranky, so the Hilton folks decided to let me go first! Jason and I had a great sitdown one on one. He says he is happy to be back home, but is really looking forward to hitting the road with all his AI friends for their year long tour.

I am going on Maternity Leave this Friday - and I need your help! The hospital encourages moms-to-be to bring music to Labor and Delivery. No totally zenned out songs for me - any other ideas? I was thinking along the lines of The Fray, Darius Rucker, Joe Satriani, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion  - a wide range of music. Any thoughts for what will be relaxing, not boring - stimulating, and not sleepy!!  :)
