Maybe this is morbid curiosity, but did the shooter at VIrginia Tech have family?

I am not sympathizing with the shooter or want to be disrespectful to the victims and the families. I am just curious.

I don't understand the uproar about the HPV vaccine. Did anyone have a legislative session regarding immunization for hepititis B? Hepititis B vaccine is given to children to prevent the spread of a virus that can be passed through body fluids. My doctor told me that it is given specifically to children before they generally become sexually active to prevent the spread of the virus. Anyone in their 20s and younger have had the vaccine through school required immunizations.

Correct me if I am misinformed.

The 100 plus temperatures finally got to my air conditioner last week. I am sure many of you are in the same boat as I was when I had to replace the entire unit (inside and out). The replacement cost is about the same as a shiny new economy car. (I have a modest sized home.) I think that trying to make a good decision regarding this purchase is almost impossible. This is one industry that makes it difficult to compare prices and find reviews from other consumers. I actually had one company representative offer a deal on an "out of the box" unit for more that what the advertisement in the paper quoted for a new "in the box" unit. It was $500 more. Pretty significant! Maybe he should take a look at his own ad!!

Any new visitor to my home will be escorted to view the new unit in the hallway... and I had better hear a chorus of ooohs and aaaaahs.
