Yes, I was there just before the Assassination with my Dad going Deer Hunting. We traveled the same route about 45 minutes prior to the shooting, heading toward Ft. Worth.

I remember the JFK Assination vividly.

Although I was not here in Dallas,I was in a sophomore in High School in Hawaii, when JFK was shot. The Principal of our high school made the annoucement over the intercom that JFK had been shot.Everyone was in a total state of shock. The entire school gathered in the gym to watch coverage on closed circuit t.v.

I was in Junior High science class in the small Minnesota farming community where I grew up. As the news spread, the whole school (just a couple hundred kids and teachers) gathered in the main study hall to watch the TV coverage on CBS (I now know much of it was coming from Channel 4 in Dallas/Fort Worth) for the rest of the school day. It was a haunting weekend. I missed the Oswald shooting because I was watching NBC and they didn't have it live.
We are doing a soft launch on the new website

My Mother was a nurse at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Where President J.F.K was treated at when they brough him in. I was young at the time. My Mom told me about it when she came to pick me up at school. That ill faithful day.

The news really pass quickly that day as it was on the news.

Yes, I worked in downtown Dallas at that time. I saw JFK and Jackie in the parade just minutes before the assassination. It was an awful day, and I'll never forget it. I did see the news announcing his visit to Dallas.

Silverdiva, on what street corner where you working during the shooting? Were you on the street or in a building? Have you ever watched the videos and films taken during the motorcade? Maybe you are in one of them! Texan2007 wrote that his mother is seen in a film taken at Parkland.

I worked in a building at the corner of Main and Pearl. I was walking on Main St. toward St. Paul when I saw the parade. I have seen some of the videos, but not all. I should check that out. I would like to see myself 40 years younger again!!
