Every dog has its day?

A friend of mine sent me this obviously made up picture. It got so many laughs in the newsroom I had to post it.

While I admit, I have not followed the Michael Vick story like hound dog. It does sound like he is in serious trouble with the federal dog fighting charges. In fact some of his co-defendants are speaking out and copping pleas. The very name "Bad Newz Kennels" seems to be an omen.

Feds claim Vick executed two dogs in 2002 for not testing well, they claim he shot one and electrifying another.

Vicks attorney says he will prove his innocence in court in November... until then it seems likely Vick is going to take a mauling in the court of public opinion.  And if found guilty the dogs might just have something to sink their teeth into.

That raises the question.  Just what would be an appropriate punishment for someone who tortures animals?

Punishment? Hard to say...he's not on trial for animal cruelty yet I don't think....Feds don't usually handle that.

Given the amount of convicted PEDOPHILES and RAPISTS we have that get almost nothing, get out and reoffend...

Our justice system is out of wack big time if he receives more time than a child predator would...but it wouldn't suprise me if he did.

Sad really. People get so worked up about him and the dog fighting and everyday crimes against children and women...old hat...not nearly as interesting or worthy of people's time or monetary donation. You can bet HSUS and PeTA are making a MINT on this case.

Should've been a pack of dogs, but I get the picture.

How about we turn him into a practice dummy for police attack dogs? That way he can experience the biting and scratching that those dogs go through while fighting.

Plus or minus the protective suit.
