I’m sick of paying for corporate mismanagement and abuses.
I’m afraid that the Fannie-Freddie rescue effort will make more bailouts inevitable by sending a message that some institutions are too big to fail and thus encouraging risky behavior it’s pathetic to watch the United States financial system, supposedly the envy of the world, being taken to its knees.
But that's we're seeing, brought to you by regulators, and greedy bank executives and incompetent corporate directors. Both companies were placed into a government conservatorship that will be run by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, the new agency created by Congress this summer to regulate Fannie and Freddie.
We as Taxpayers shouldn’t to be left holding defaulted mortgages while executives who presided over balance sheet implosions walked away with millions. Knowledgeable analysts sent a message that it is time for Fannie and Freddie to go. Meanwhile, Fannie Mae has reshuffled its management.
I don’t understand much how it all works and I’m sure if the majority of the public did understand the public would want heads to fly but for now we can just be assured that there is a safety pin holding things together and tomorrow is another day.
