Stop signs are not suggestions they are the law.

Why am I blogging about it, because I was almost run over by someone who obviously felt it was.  Luckily, I was in my big beast of a truck so they slowed and drove in the shoulder to pass around me.  Why this person holds such disregard for human life is a mystery.  This is not an isolated incident, as I have observed several occasions of this.  Everyone approaches this misunderstood traffic control device in various ways.  There is the one that stops at the sign, the one that stops well before or well after, the one that slow thru the sign, the ones that pause at it, the ones that pretend it is not there, and the ones that drive over them to knock them down so noone else has to stop.  (just because it is down, you still have to stop and that line in the road also indicates that a stop is required).

What kind of stop signer are you?

Have a great day and please remember little Planet Pluto.

Wake up fellow cavedwellers it is time to venture outdoors.  Well in the early morning and late evening.  I know because my ac has hardly been running this past week.   I went out this morning and was so pleasantly surprised.

Aww the rush of cool air is soo stimpulating.  That explains my urges to blog again, that and all the silly stuff in the news.

So step out into the light and tell us what made you smile this morning.

Me, it was some little jack rabbits chases each other in my back yard.

Have a great day and remember little Planet Pluto.

***Advance Notice gentle bloggers, but I am very mad about this, so if a solution you want read on but be prepared for a crazy rant first****

All taxpayers have now become board members but don't hold your breath waiting for a key to the executive restroom or a really gnarly(do they still say that) valet parking space.  Board members to what you may ask, well in my estimation if our hard earn tax dollars are going to bail out all these supposed financial masters then we should become their boss.  The way I see it since they can not seem to run their companies properly and hold our future(or so we are told) in their incapable hands, I think a new solution needs to be formed.  Here are some of the things tto ponder.

1.  Let the chips fall where they may.  If they go under fine, because some other corporation will pick up the pieces.  Hey money is involved and greed is a good motivator.

2.  Trickle Down effect?  We have it, We bail out one company and every other ones claims proverty and hold out there hand.

3.  Make them pay back at outrageous percentages like they do to the rest of us.

4.  Fire all the over paid fat cats in the higher levels.  And for goodness sake do not pay them a severance package, especially one that could run a small country for the next 50 years.

5.  Make them prove that they have exhausted all their resourches to fix their own problems.  This is what would be expected out of us.

6.  We should be able to vote on who gets help and what kind of help.  I mean it is our tax dollars funding this.  We are the ones who will have to bear the burden.

7.  Since we erased their woes will they erase ours as well.  I mean think about it, most of us are just one mortgage payment away from living on the streets.  Who will make sure we are safe.

I am a single mother and raised three young men that I am very proud of.  I did this without the government's help sometimes working three jobs at once.  We had food in our bellies, clothes on our backs and a roof over our heads.  We had the basics and we survived.  No trips to exotic lands just the beautiful Fort Worth Zoo every now and again.  We never complained or held out our hand.  We wanted something we saved.  So why should we help them.

Ok I told you I was mad.  Here is my proposal.

Do not bail these companies out but bail out the american public.  It is a win win for everyone.  Don't let them file bankruptcy, find a better solution.  Think about this fellow board member/tax payers.  If they are going to spend our tax dollars, then why not on us.  If you bail out that family that is stuggling with heavy debt then this will be the result.

1.  They will live more happy and healthy.  No more increased debt for unpaid hospital bills that we all end up paying anyways.

2.  Crime will decrease, no more murder/suicide packs because they cant make ends meet, our shoplifting, our identity theft, robbery, and such.  Yes, I know there will be some because some people want the easy way all the time.

3.  With bills being paid, the companies asking for help won't need it. (they still need to get rid of the top heavy executives)

4.  John Q. Public now has the extra funds to go shopping and visiting places and local merchants that would otherwise disappear without them.

See help the small fish and the bigger fish will thrive.

I know rantings, but reasonable rantings.  Thanks dear bloggers if you have read this far.  I feel better and will step down off of my soap box, well about this anyways.

Have a blessed day and pray for our trrops.  Please always remember little Planet Pluto.

Yes Dear Bloggers that is what they will call it.

What causes it.  The rain of course.   Who is afflicted by it?  Everyone.  Lack of sunlight or fun in the sun action causes people to actually stay at home(if it hasn't floated away) and spend time with their families.  It results in irritability and/or depression, emotional outbursts, daydreaming, and increased internet spending.  The cure..Look to the rain in a positive light.  Mother Nature has given us lemons and water, so let's make a great big pitcher of Lemonade.  We have been in need of rain for so long now and what we have received is really just now scratching the surface.  Look how many lakes were well below normal levels.  Some even dried up completely.  Look how many towns and cities didn't even have a drop of drinking water to spare.  Look at the wildfires, lack of hay and feed, death of farm animals, cracked earth swallowing cars, homes, and businesses.  The Rangers slump in the cellar.  Still too much rain you say.  Well look at it this way.  When a person suffers from heat stroke or dehydration it takes several weeks and or months for the body to fully recover.  Now think of the Earth and how long we suffered drought conditions and how long it will take to recover and how much water it will take.   Still don't feel good about the rain, think ahead to about a few weeks from now when that big old sun is blazing hot, burning everything in its wake(that wasn't drowned in the floods)  and you are doing the cavedwelling thingie to keep cool and watching the earth dry up to look like the Grand Canyon in your backyard then,,, maybe,,, Umm nevermind you are right, I wish it would stop raining.

Ok Folks, I hope you are having a Happy Independence Day.   I haven't written in quite some time but felt the need to do so.  Be forewarned that my thoughts are kind of .....

Today, we celebrate our Indepence but are we really???    We think we are and we probably are but.... Well it seems to me that we have replaced the desire to do what we feel is right with the need to be told what is right.  Confused welcome to my world.

Our forefathers laid the groundwork for us to be strong independent thinker, gogetters, and figthers but we really aren't.  I mean we relay on the big corporations to tell us what we want to eat or drive and where to work or live.  Corporate Giants have convinced us that we need to wait in line like cattle to slaughter to get a Iphone.  Remeber the woman who paid someone $800 just to cut in line ahead of him to buy a phone.   We have lost a good portion of our common sense and rational thinking.  Don't deny it.  It will help you in the recovery process.

The iphone is not what has got a bee in my bonnet it is just part of it. The Alli diet pill.  No offense to the company that manufacturers it but what a waste.  They put it in out of the norm style packaging and tell us it will save us and we believe it.  Or some do because all the store shelves are empty.  But does it really work??  Who knows because you first must comply with their wishes.  That asks if you are committed to a reduced-calorie, low fat diet, limiting your daily fat intake, doing careful meal planning, taking multivitamins, and getting more physically active.   Hmm that is the same stuff my doctor and nutrionist have said that I needed to do to lose weight and I don't have to spend hundreds of dollars on a diet pill.  So why do we rush out to purchase things like this.  Not me I don't believe in these quick fix ideas.  Well other than duct tape... And when strapped around your middle just right makes a great girdle just bite down on something when you take it off.  So why do we do it.  Is it because someone told us that we should do what they say without question? Or is it because we have become a society of people who want the easy quick fix?

Please don't get me started on $350.00 flip flops.

Where have the independent thinkers gone?

I am sorry if this did not make sense or has offended anyone.  Just some awkward ramblings from me just observing life on planet Earth.

Remember Planet Pluto....Rebel from the Norm!!!

Happy Independence Day!!!

Yesterday was like any other day at the office save for the one phone call I wasn't quite expecting.
The phone rang and I greeted the caller on the other end of the phone with a very cheerful hello. The Caller greeted me back with a cheerful hello and Just_Observing we want your blood. I was a little taken aback by this request, I quickly looked at the caller id to see if it was the IRS(it is tax season afterall) but it was not. It was the Carter Blood Care office calling me, asking me to donate my precious blood. I have donated in the past I thought how did they find me at work. Having survived another birthday and getting older and everything starting to break down, I suddenly became selfish of that precious life giving liquid coursing thru my veins. I started coming up with reasons why I couldn't give. Surely my age or health could be reason they wouldn't want it but no they still wanted it. Even when I asked about the hangnail that may lay me up for several days but they were okay with that. No excuse could I come up with to excuse myself. I gave in and set an appointment to give. After hanging up I continued to try and think of ways to not give but unfortunately none seem like they would work. And then I thought to myself what was the big deal about giving anyways. I mean other than the (gulp) needle. So what if I give some blood, it may be just enough to save one person's life so they can live to see the sun rise another day. So what if I have to give up a few minutes of my time, the time I give up may extend the time of someone's life. That Blood. That precious life giving liquid may just be needed for someone I love. What was I thinking. How selfish. I am now looking forward to giving and to start giving more often, not just when they hunt me down.

Please give, the life you may save might just be your own.

There are several organizations and hospitals that will be glad to take your blood.

Take care and have a great day. Please always remember Little Planet Pluto.

He is the lastest craze to hit the market.
That annoying little red doll that is adored by children has a new role.
It is a drug mule. Yes, you heard me correctly.

These drug thugs are always looking for new ways to transport their product into the U.S. They have used desperate people (including the elderly trying to supplement their low income), pottery, clothing, and animals to name a few. But now they are using that Sesame Street Icon “Elmo” to be their mules. I guess they thought who would question the ‘Tickle Me Elmo” dolls. I guess they thought it is suppose to give a response like someone who is high. You know the laughing uncontrollably and the rolling around on the floor. And with celebrity status it would be a wave of the hand thru customs so they don’t have to search the furry beast and do all the paperwork. That and for a child to see Elmo carted off in handcuffs could be quite traumatic. I guess they choose Elmo because Big Bird doesn’t travel well(He hasn’t figured out the flying thingie). I guess the layback Count and Oscar the Grouch where way to obvious targets.
I wonder who they will use next. Barbie? She travels with a lot of luggage and she is blond(let’s face it they do get away with much more). Maybe we should check those Pokeballs. They may be for transporting more than Pokemon. Hmmm.

Sad state of affairs. Everyone pray to whomever you do or don’t believe in and pray for peace and good will towards man, woman, child and ________.

Are you sleeping in your bed tonight or on the sidewalk next to the store you want to shop in?

Every year they try and entice us with promises of good bargains. And every time I get there they either didn’t get a shipment or they just ran out. Bah Humbug.

I have checked the ads and the only thing I would want is either the $29.99 dollar Christmas tree from Home Depot with the $30.00 gift card or the hundred something computer at Best Buy. Since I already have several Christmas trees (anyone need one) and Best Buy never has any of the sale computers in store any other time of the year (why now?) I guess I will be sleeping in.

Just curious though, how many of you are heading out in the wee morning hours? And what kinds of bargains are you after?

May you all have a safe holiday (whichever you observe or don’t observe) season.

Grinches you say, who is that? You all know them. They are the greedy, loathsome creatures who live amongst us all year but come out in droves at this time of year.
They wear many faces. They are those people that take the spirit out of the season.
They are:
1. The manufacturers of the must have products of the season. They know that the hype from over promoting of their product will drive normal people over the brink and unsavory people to take advantage of these people. The manufacturers deliberately hold back or limit production and release of these items.
2. The vile, evil, mega jerks who are major #$$%&*@! who have no lives other than to take advantage of the ones who do. You know who you are. You have no conscience. You live only for your petty self. You go to the stores where the must have product is coming and wait. You buy all that you can so that someone else can’t. And why? Not because you really want it. No, because you want to force someone less fortunate than you who promised their child that item to pay a hefty sum to you. I refuse to give into your tactics of pirating and profiteering. You are an evil person and will rot in the place down below. No heaven for you my jerk of jerks. And to the persons on eBay and such that pay these people for what I feel are ill gained booty. Shame on you. (yes and sorry venting) And don’t tell me it has always been this way because no it hasn’t. Maybe just the last 20 years. 20 years to long in my opinion.
3. The jerks that steal or destroy lawn decorations. Didn’t your mothers teach you better? How would you feel if we came to your place and stole and destroyed anything we wanted?
4. Thieves’ period. You break into food banks, churches, homes, businesses, race tracks, and the likes because you are too lazy and selfish to get a job. P.S. To the major jerk who stole Dale Earnhardt’s uniform. What the heck are you thinking? Give it back you slug.
5. The PC patrol. It is Christmas. I will say Merry Christmas to whomever I wish. If you don’t like it go suck an egg. (sorry still venting here)
6. Person or Person(s) (I use the term loosely because it is hard to think of them as this) who stole the van of a handicapped child. Why? What thrill could you get from this? I hope they find the blank or blanks and string them up by their ears.
7. The thing that is cutting the heads off of puppies? Need I say more?
8. The United States Post Office. The mail goes to the address on front and not somewhere else. That is all I am saying about that one.
9. NBC also known as Nothing But Commercials. They took our beloved Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and showed very little parade and a whole lot of commercials. They kept cutting acts off in the middle (although I was happy then did on some) to squeeze in more commercials.
10. The others. You know who you are. You steal a little more of our lives each and everyday. It is all about your bottom line.

So Peace on Earth and Goodwill to every one of God’s Creatures.

May you all have a safe holiday (whichever you observe or don’t observe) season.

Have a good day and remember Little Planet Pluto.

They are amongst us. They are real. They don’t wear wings or halos but they are angels. They are the men and women who perform little tasks that mean not so much to them but mean volumes to the person or persons on the receiving end. They do it for little to no reward. They are heroes. They are the angels that walk amongst us. They can change your day or life with as little as a smile and a friendly hello or they can put their lives on the line to save yours.
This cooler weather reminds me of one such soul who was to my mother and me an angel.
This past February when the temps were in the very low 30’s and the wind chill was around 15 degrees we ventured out with my son, who is in the Army, to drop him off at his armory at 5:15 a.m. We were heading up 287 when the drive shaft fell out. We called his Sgt to take him on, and then called a tow truck. The tow service said it would be as long as an hour and half before they could come out and it would cost $60.00 to tow it basically across the street from where we were at. Since we had no one else to call we waited. We soon found that at that early hour many 18 wheelers drive dangerously close to the shoulder. We decided to fight the cold weather for safety. Silly me did not have a coat on because hey the van has heat. We stood in the ditch to try and avoid the traffic and as much of the biting cold wind as possible. A sheriff’s deputy pulled up and asked if we needed help. She said she couldn’t let us sit in her car but she could call a tow truck. I told her we had one on the way. She stayed for a brief time. Her car was nearly hit several times by 18 wheelers so she decided she had somewhere else to go. Alone and freezing, we began to feel a little lost. The irony is that we broke down right across from a dealership. A few cars stopped and asked if they could call someone for us, we told them a tow was on the way and then they were too. A car pulled up and a man got out. I told him what happened and that a tow truck was on its way sometime. It was now 6:15 a.m. I figured he would get back in his car and drive away. He did not. He pulled into a grassy area near us and got out and said we can’t have you ladies waiting in the cold. He took some blankets out of his trunk and helped my mother and me into his car and turned on the heat. I told him it may be a bit and that I didn’t want to keep him. It said nonsense he was just on his way home for work. It was no trouble. We waited and chatted a good while when finally the tow truck arrived. I went to talk to the tow truck driver, when I came back to the car to retrieve my mother and thank him for his kindness; he stated that he insisted that he take us home. I told that he had done enough but he said he couldn’t see my mother and me trying to climb up into the tow truck. I sent the tow truck on and got back in the car and he drove us the 11 miles back to our house. We tried to pay him for his time but he wouldn’t have it. He said our thanks and our smiles were enough and he drove away. He was truly an angel.
My boss’ daughter in law recently had a similar brush with angel. Hers was a mechanic who went got the parts and fixed it. He didn’t even ask for repayment of the parts. Another angel among us.

Have you or someone you know have a brush with an angel. Please share.

BBBBBBBRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
Yes sir ree Bob it is as cold as a well diggers fanny.

Two dogs and a cat? That is what helped keep me warm last night. Wait let me explain before anyone’s mind wanders where it shouldn’t. I did not watch the news last night so I did not get a forecast. I did not remember that it was supposed to get cool (old age) so I did not turn on the heater. Well it got cold but I did not notice. I had a nice warm comforter, one dog sleeping on my feet, one dog lying against my back and a cat curled up purring on my hip. Cheaper and safer than any electric blanket on the market.
How did you keep warm last night? Careful what you type this is a family blog.

I wonder if my vote will be wasted this election. I usually have this one in the bag but not this time.
Who should I vote for in the gubernatorial race? They all are getting on my nerves. Also quick to point out the faults of others instead of really telling me what they are about.

Rick Perry = A smooth haired incumbent that would almost make Jerry Jones proud. Although I voted for him the first time around, I seriously doubt I will do that again. I wrote Mr. Perry on an issue I was having concerning my homeowners insurance. His only response was a generalized form letter that skated around the issue but stated a promise for change. I wrote to Tony Sanchez as well, at least he wrote me back a personalized letter that had excerpts from my letter contained in the body of his response. To this date, Mr. Perry gave into the big Insurance companies and left us who were wronged in the cold.

Chris Bell = A buttoned-up former congressman from Houston. Eloquently skates around the issues by placing blame on others and states changes that are either to sweet to believe or that are already in place or in the works.

Kinky Friedman = An off-color comedian or satirist, musician and mystery writer. Hey if Jesse Ventura can be the Governor of Minnesota then why not Kinky for Texas. He could be good or he could be bad. At least with him in office, Leno would be more justified to ridicule the ideals of Texans. Or could I be wrong. Maybe he is what we really need.

Carol Keeton Strayhorn = Our current Texas comptroller who bills herself as "one tough grandma". As near as I can tell she has been a very good comptroller. She makes claims for changes that she could have already implemented in her current position.

James Werner = Works for a software firm with a strong background in Latin American studies. I will not comment on the things I read on his website. I hurt my neck from shaking my head. You must read it for yourselves. I am still not sure what planet this one came from.

There are some people who are counting on the write in ballot. Of course, those usually don’t have a snowballs chance in Hades.

I have visited all their primary sites and all the others that I could find that seemed to be legitimate. None of them really said what I wanted to hear. So much talkabout it is not funny. Hey why not say I am out for myself but this is what I will really do for you whilst I am in office. I would rather a candidate that would openly tell the truth (no matter how good or bad it is) then one who makes promises they never intend on keeping.

So to you gentle readers, I pose this question. Who do you intend to vote for at the polls and why?
Have a good day and remember Little Planet Pluto.

Barnett Shale Millionaires is what we commonly refer to those individuals that have leased their mineral rights out and are reaping benefits beyond belief.

Barnett Shale Losers are those poor souls (myself included) that do not have ownership of our mineral rights but must be inconvenienced by the collection of the products from the Barnett Shale reserves.

Some say that I am just jealous of those that get the rewards. Yes I am but not for the reasons you may think. Some say it is only a minor inconvenience to me and that I should stop complaining. No, it is more than a minor inconvenience. And no, if I were getting royalty checks then I wouldn’t feel differently. What changes would I suggest? Many.

What is the Barnett Shale? The Barnett Shale is considered an active bed rock that is actually producing natural gas through bacteria breakdown. Texas and the surrounding area was actually an ocean that stretched as far as Canada. This vast expanse of water, especially in Texas was loaded with large coral reef beds. As the Rocky Mountains were formed, this divided the ocean into several smaller separate oceans. The some of the ocean beds that formed in the great state of Texas are identified as basins. Some of them are the Delaware Basin, the Permian Basin and the Fort Worth Basin. The Barnett Shale is located in what is generally known as the Fort Worth Basin. The Barnett Shale is generally located in the following counties: Clay, Montague, Cooke, Jack, Wise, Denton, Palo Pinto, Parker, Tarrant, Erath, Hood, Somervell, Johnson, Hamilton, Bosque, and Hill. The counties shown in the bold text are where the heaviest concentration of gas pockets. Some parts of Tarrant have some of the largest sweet spots or honey holes, or so I have been told. Interstate I-35E was the approximate boundaries line for the edge of the ocean, ergo the edge of the Barnett Shale.

Oil and Gas companies are generally governed by one entity. That is the Texas Railroad Commission. Sure many Cities would like to believe that they control where these companies drill but if pushed came to shove, the cities (and its people) would lose out. Because the better good of the all far out weighs the better good of the few. Trust me Land owners without their mineral rights have no rights. But to keep paying them taxes.

Water-H2O is a necessary for all life to exist. It is a rare commodity here is Texas as of late. Without it, we would no longer exist. And the oil & gas collection, water is needed as well. It takes over a million gallons of water to drill and frac a well site. This has to be fresh water and once it is used and can’t be used again. Then this contaminated water must be disposed off. Where does it go? Why back into the ground where it could seep into good drinking water. Why not develop another way then with water. If not, then why not make the water reusable for fracing/drilling another well?
What is my beef? It is this. When they set up to drill, there is a nonstop flow of traffic. Large trucks and rigs that don’t obey traffic laws and tear up secondary roadways. There is very loud noise 24/7 until they have completed. One year near my house it lasted from just after Halloween until the end of February the following year. I am still not sure why that one took so long. There are the lights. Brighter than day that can penetrate even the heaviest curtains and blinds. Do they really need to drill at night? The smell, so bad that my asthma has become more severe when they drill. If they are releasing deadly toxins into the air, then why doesn’t those environmental agency that regulate our car’s emissions regulate these guys? My house shook several times during the drilling process. Are we sure these minor quakes that occur during drilling are not have a bigger impact on our foundations? In the surrounding areas there have been several explosions or pop offs that caused evacuations in the middle of the day and night. So bitter, yes I am.

Question to anyone out there. Other than someone saying it has no effect on the land, what effect does it have? I mean you are removing a gas/liquid from beneath the surface. This would leave open pockets, right? What keeps everything from caving in? I have noticed little opening and sink holes in my yard as of late. And they are not all do to my chickens digging and the how dry it has been. What reassurance do we Barnett Losers get that we won’t wake up in a hole in the ground? Same question would apply for you Barnett Millionaires.

I know we need to drill but surely we could come up with a better way that would benefit all whilst safely drilling. I also feel all land owners err surface owners should be equally compensated for the inconvenience as the mineral rights owners. And these rights should transfer when land ownership transfers. But greed would never allow for fair play would it. And yes I am jealous, jealous because when my house falls into a hole or I wind up to a point where I can’t work because of my health from the pollutants they put out, I will have nothing to fall back on.

Have a good day and remember little Planet Pluto.

In a few days I will be another year older. But not to sound like some drama queen, I almost wasn’t. On request of my mother and my children I went to the doctors and had a full blown physical. I know you should have one every year but I just never seem to have the time. I have too many people that depend on me taking care of them. It was because of this, I had the physical. The doctor said all my tests/levels were fine except for my blood sugar level was extremely high. I had type 2 diabetes. I didn’t have any of the usual symptoms. None that I noticed anyways. She said that I could die without proper treatment. And since it was so high that it could have happened anytime. What an adjustment and surprise that after over 40 something years of only taken occasional Tylenol, allergy medicine or asthma meds, I would now have to condition myself to take meds every single day of my life. Not only take meds but check my blood three times a day. What did I do wrong to deserve that abuse I thought? I have always tried to do right. At first, I thought I don’t really need to do all this because I have been fine up to this point, haven’t I? I kind of put it off. Not intentionally but because I thought what harm if I skipped a few. Having been in the medical field for a very long time. I knew all the risks and harms. I was just kidding myself. But a few turned into the first week. Then the other day when it turned cool, my son said mom, let’s stay home today and bake cookies. It was such an awe mommy moment for me. Although he is a senior in high school at that moment he was so much younger. It was then I thought to myself, I want to be around for when he graduates, goes off into the world and brings me home grandkids to bake cookies with. Needless to say I am better about the meds and are feeling a little better as well. I am now in the proactive phase of my acceptance of this condition. I am trying to learn all I can. I have joined a support group. Searched online, cut out certain bad habits. Yes, Virginia I still eat Chocolate. I am human after all.
What I have found is how much more things cost when you add Diabetic to it. I don’t make sense. As I said I must test my blood three times a day, seven days a week. The test strips are very expensive and my insurance doesn’t cover them much. Plus the fact that my fingers are looking a little rough. My feet are now a concern for me. I am the barefoot queen. Just ask the people at work. I now have to watch them (they are always riddled with cuts) I should have watched them before but it took this to make me aware of the dangers of everything. I know that I am rambling but it is helping me help myself be around for a little longer. I guess my point is to take care of yourselves always. Get regular checkups. Again, not to sound so dramatic but if this prompts even one person to get a checkup, then I feel it was worth the post.

Have a good day and remember little Planet Pluto.

Cave dwellers be free, shun the darkness of your home cave and enjoy the outdoors once again. Even if it is just for a little bit.

Why Cool Cat Crazy?
Cool because it is cooler and well cooler is kewl. Cat because cat is cool and some people are referred to as cat. And Crazy because we all go a little crazy, animals and humans alike. Haven’t noticed this? Well look around. Observe a little life.
I know I am a little sillier, the release of all that cooped up energy from the summer months. I know my animals feel it. My two dogs were running around the house all morning chasing mystery things. Still don’t know what they were chasing. My cats were out acting like little kittens. Chasing tails, bugs, grass, and themselves. My goose, my silly little goose acted most weird crazy. He can be seen in my photos posted here. Anyways, I was sitting on my bench outside just observing these changes in behavior when the goose comes over and jumps up in my lap and just looks around. He normally won’t even let you touch him. Very odd but cool. Cool Cat Crazy cool.

This is an awe thingie. Well for me it was…
My son (18) gave me a hug this morning and asked if we could just stay home today and bake cookies. Gosh I hope he never grows up and I hope that the cool weather stays awhile.

Have a good day.

Just me observing life on Planet Earth.

Remember Planet Pluto.

Just_Observing_Life

Just an old country gal who was raised the right way and who enjoys life. Single working mom of three boys. One who serves proudly in the Army. I am an Air Force veteran, former(served 11 years) Firefighter/EMT. I love to sing and make people smile. I have chickens, 2 dogs, cats, parakeets, wheat-wheats and my mother. Love your family, love your neighbor, love life, love yourself and VOLUNTEER. The goose in my pictures is named Honkers. She was a sweet, lovable little creature that would treat the neighbors with her imitation of the Aflac duck. She would say AFLAC very clearly when asked. She was a good guard goose. If you did not belong in the yard she would show you to the property line. She was found murdered recently along with my ducks in my backyard. She lives on in our hearts. My oldest son Jon has taken most of these pictures.
