A Rasmussen poll showed that eighty-two percent (82%) of Virginia voters are opposed to allowing illegal immigrants to receive a drivers’ license. Eighty-six percent (86%) say that illegal immigrants should not be allowed to receive public benefits such as rental and housing assistance. Backing up those views, 79% believe that if a police officer pulls someone over for a traffic violation, the officer should automatically check to see if that person is in the country legally. Sixty-seven percent (67%) believe that illegal aliens discovered in this manner should be deported.

From an ideological perspective, 79% of conservatives believe illegal aliens discovered through a traffic violation should be deported. Forty-seven percent (47%) of liberal voters agree.

Is this all coming together who has the most experience to implement an informed policy that would satisfy the American citizen? Well,  Joe Arpaio Sheriff of Maricopa County may be the answer or at least the Immigration Czar for the next Administration.

I love Sheriff Joe - I think he would make a wonderful Immigration "czar". Unfortunately the dims in Congress would do their best to destroy him, and the pubbies would not step in and defend him. Actually, Joe is probably way too smart to put himself in such an impossible situation. I wish every sheriff in the US were just like him, but my sheriff tells me that what we don't hear about is all the money that the county has to spend to defend him from lawsuits. Me? I'd willingly pay extra taxes to have a politician actually doing what he is supposed to do!! Go, JOE!

Gurkey, needs to get a reality check. Enforcing the laws of this nation is not racism. He needs to look up Illegal in the dictionary. This is a government of the people, by the people and for the people, and by that it means American Citizens. The majority of Americans Citizens wants our Laws Enforced.

LOL ok I shall, I was born and raised around aristocrats in a nice home in southern California. I moved to Texas when I was 9, and got away from aristocratic life styles because my parents were sick of the pompass fakes and political circles....I found out that my uncle over 20 yrs ago, hires wettttt baccccks and then disposes of them like garbage...I didn't care for it but when your 9 what can you do.

Later on in years, I realized what a drudge on society Wetttt bacccks are and started to combat it with educaion and experience, met a few cops along the way and started a list of accomplished feats of deportation of wettt baccccks that still grows today through a couple of people I know that got on board and still do it today.

today, the old man is pulling down a 6 figure salary, Mom is doing her part by managin a ranch from home with leases on land with a healthy 5 figure income, and uses poor little durdges like BurpUp to do the manuel labor but if they prove they do not have their papers, ICE comes and takes them away with a smile and and a thank you...Well thats the truth in a nutshell BurpUp...sleep well knowing that.

Here is yet another hypocrit in the middle of the immigration debate. Some facts about this immigration zealot:

-His own ancestors came to the US from Ireland, illegally, fleeing war and poverty. Landing in Ellis Island without any paper, this fool's grand parents entered the US with disease and poverty. Motivated by politics, this zealot makes up immigration laws as he goes along, disregarding Federal laws and human rights.

-Since this fool took office, there have been over 100 deaths of innocent immigrants, including two minors just fleeing for an economic reasons. There are human rights issues concerning his prison cells. This guy is very close to being tried in the Haag for International Human Rights violation.

-This fool not only falsely accused his opponent running against him of rape but publicized it to the media so he could win. The guy is motivated by politics, thus routinely entices fear among the general population. The perfect issue for him: Immigration.

-The only accomplishment he claims is not even that astonishing. The immigrants coming from Maricopa county has only gone down by 20%. Not because of anything this fool did but because the housing market in the Phoenix area slowed dramatically. Lot of seasonal workers did not come because there were no employment demand.

-Again motivated by politics, the sheriff made a very public spectacle of arresting and booking much decorated veteran Chandler police K-9 officer Sgt. Tom Lovejoy after his police dog bandit died in officer lovejoys patrol car.

-This guy has publicly announced his racist view

Char you make an excellent point. Gurk is simply incapable of rational thought, therefore, he is unable to understand or comprehend the stance that we have against illegal immigration. Again, he proves himself to be a mental midget with the logic of a computer without a hard drive. Personally, I feel that he would be much better served to move to Mexico where he can surround himself with peers that believe as he does.

If immigrants came through ELLIS ISLAND then they weren't illegal they were processed, rejected or accepted. Gurkey needs to get his his American history from a text book instead of the Democratic platform.
