VOTERS AFFRAID OF OBAMA Photobucket

Democrat Barack Obama, the first black candidate with a shot at winning the White House, says John McCain and his Republican allies will try to scare them by saying :

"You know, he's not patriotic enough, he's got a funny name, you know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

So what they’re saying is ‘well, we know we’re not very good but you can’t risk electing Obama. You know, he’s new, "They know that you’re not real happy with them. And so the only way they figure they’re going to win this election is if they make you scared of me,"

McCain has not raised Obama's race as an issue in the campaign, though he has said that Obama lacks experience. It appears the only campaign to inject a Race Card is the Obama Camp.

Yes, Obama has mentioned the attacks against him. It is fair to also mention that McCain has never used race as a way to attack him... but clearly there are those among McCain's supporters that have chosen otherwise.

It is very sad.

I dont think Obama has ever specifically accused McCain of playing the race card.

The facts are - Democrats were the FIRST to raise, and keep the 'race' issue hoisted. Obam himself continues to bring up RACE. It's just another tactic they use in hopes of shutting up their opposition, by calling us/them racist. LULAC & the NAACP use the same tactics.
Obam never wants anyone to FORGET he's "black" although he's really just a mixed race candidate.
Btw, I don't know one person, other than Dems, who care about his race - but solely is horrid socialist political views. THAT'S what the Dems don't want anyone to NOTICE.

"he's really just a mixed race candidate."

There is a significant portion of black people in America that have white blood in their ancestry. There are many whites that have Native American's in theirs.

Most of us are just a mixed race.

...but some of us are dark enough to be called black or light enough to be called white.

Maybe neither distinction is accurate.

...oh and if by democrats raising the race issue you mean Hillary Clinton people then I may just agree with you... but honestly race has been an issue. The fact that Obama brought it up does not mean he created it.

He was Nancy.

Vader got a bum wrap from killing all of those Jedi Hippies. The bleeding heart liberals with their peace, love hippie rebellion was all a sham.

Vader knew that only through Imperial government could we ever really know peace.

Stupid Dems.

I believe the Obama quotes above qualify as racial accusations.

"You know, he's not patriotic enough, he's got a funny name, you know, he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."

Ever listen to Rush?

...watch Fox news?

What about when a McCain supporter called Obama "John Kerry with a tan"?

He's not accusing McCain of doing this. He is accusing McCain's supporters.

Thanks.

Spin this Kestrel

''It will not be negative on my part under any circumstances. If I could think of a way constitutionally, I would ban negative ads.''

I would still like to know what Obama has ever done while a senator,
I can't seem to get any answers on anything he has done.

Cy,

Throwing a McCain quote at me is about as useless as spiting at a rattle snake. I'm still mad about his attack on Free Speech with "McCain Feingold"

I am sure there are people who want this campaign to boil down to race. And there are plenty of folks out there trying to create incidents that could be viewed as racist. But for me, I don't dislike B. Obama personally, heck I don't even know the guy, but I have read his views, I have looked at his promises and he is very simply a raving socialist. And I don't even say that about Hillary Clinton. But I am sure the media will try to create some sort of tense situation where they can point fingers. That's what they do.

Thank you Texastrublu.
That is a difference of opinions and is very rational.
We can have disagreements like that and still communicate. I appreciate your input.

It would be nice to see more of that around here.

Babysister: Senator Obama sponsored the Global Poverty Act (S.2433). The Act, if passed by Congress and signed by President Bush, would commit the U.S. to spend a 13-year total of 845 billion dollars over and above what the U.S. already spends toward alleviating global poverty. Guess where that money will come from. If you guessed the U.S. taxpayer, you're right.

So a McCain supporter bringing up race as an issue is the same as OBAMA HIMSELF bringing it up? NOT!! No one can control what comes out of another's mouth. One can control what comes out of ones own mouth. DUH!!
