He was 65 before he and Obama even met.
This was no mentor.

I am betting that George Bush had a decisive influence on Obama as well. I guess that makes him a mentor.

Find me some kind of quote or article or something where Obama discusses this guy being his mentor or "trusted counselor or teacher". Lets try that.

Cy, It's in his book. I have quoted his book you fail to comprehend the written word of Obama. Your own references say Davis was a decisive influence. Spin all you want you can't spin the truth away.

Marxists followed Karl Marx.
They prescribed to the ideas and teachings of that man. To be a Marxist, he would have to literally follow these beliefs.

Obama has some views that could be called socialist and I probably would not object to that but calling him a Marxist over and over is very sad and an obvious ploy to try to make people scared of Obama.

Marxist sounds scarier I guess.

I and many of us here would rather vote against a Party and Candidate supported by the Communist Party USA. The following was from the CPUSA website:
