Communist Illegals VS Mexican Illegals

Alright, so today some folks and I began talking about illegal immigrants.

One person suggested Americans are more sympathetic and even accepting of illegals who escape communist countries such as CUBA, RUSSIA, etc..

Do you believe that is true? If so, why?

I believe we may be more sympathetic toward ppl escaping communist countries  People escaping from communist countries don't come here demanding we give them free health care, section 8 and WIC. They are thankful to be free.

I'm not suggesting Mexicans don't work hard, I do believe old school mexicans do indeed work hard, however we all know there is a new breed of Mexicans who believe we Americans "owe" them. Don't act like they're not out there, we've all seen them on TV spouting off about how America would be nothing w/out them, blah, blah. The reality is, we don't owe them jack! If Corporate America wasn't so dang greedy, we'd be putting more LEGAL citizens to work for a decent wage.

But anyway, back to the original topic, do you believe America is more accepting and sympathetic toward illegal immigrants who escape from communist countries?

One thing I've noticed is that people who were born and raised in Mexico work hard and don't expect anything from this country other than the pay for the work they do. It's the next generation that seems to be so darn, what's the word? American! Think about it, mexican-americans aren't the only one's waving flags of other countries. Go to any Texas/German town and you'll see, or go to Miami and see how many Cuban flags you see around. Heck how many times do you see a Texas flag flying without the stars and stripes above it?

But back to your question, I think we in general are less accepting of immigrants from Mexico because you see so many with jobs while Americans go unemployed. However, I'd like to point out there are few if any Americans willing to do what the illegals do for the wage they make.

i do think we are more accepting of refugees from communist countries and less tolerant of illegal immigrants....there's a big difference between the two...REFUGEES vs. ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS....last time i looked immigrants from mexico were not being persecuted for religious beliefs,or other government issues and refugees do not come into this country demanding natural born citizens of the U.S. be required to speak their language, make special conditions for their children to learn....you want to be in america then be AN AMERICAN!!!!!

Thats true, I agree that Refugees ARE less demanding than the illegal immigrants. On basic TV there is even a mexican channel... Nuff' said.

I believe America is sympathetic to everyone, and now it's out of control. How many more illegals(criminals) can the cities of America handle? In NY we have a silly Gov who overlooks taxpayers rights and decides that
illegals should drive in NY. What does this mean to the teamsters? Terrorists? Taxpayers?
The list goes on, this Gov has to go, he also spied on the Speaker of the House no punishment was given, what do you think about that?

I agree with doodles.
There is a big differance between someone sneaking into our country demanding things they have no rights to and someone coming here escaping tyrant rule. Which by the way do have permission to come here.

As for the dL's, many states only require you show a drivers license in order to vote. NY is handing out DL's to illegals and who is in NY? nuff said

Illegal immigration is out of control in this country and in NY. NY has a gov who's giving the stae away to illegals and he doesn't want to listen to the tax payer. What is your opinion about that. I BELIEVE THIS gOV HAS TO BE IMPEACHED. I hope this doesn't happen to other states. Wake up and start knowing who's
going to hurt you and future generations.

Dudes, I brought home the Gold Medal, Nov 24th 2007 at the International Judo Tournament! Woo yeh! I DON'T NEED you TO LIKE ME. ;) If you do, Great, if not, oh well. I'm not an expert at anything, but I can throw a knife pretty dang well!:) Anyone interested in Eschatology?
