I BROUGHT HOME THE GOLD!

Yesterday at the 2007 Dallas Invitational Judo Tournament, I took home the GOLD!! Yep, FIRST place baby!!! Woo yeh!!

Competitors came from all over the world, it was a BLAST! My 4 year old son also took home the Gold!

In the begining of the match, my competitor shook my hand, it was rather frail, but once the ref said, hajime, she turned into a fierce monster. I got the high grip, but couldn't get uchi mata, so I went for tai toshi, couldn't get that either, so I did some sort of modified seonage which is how I won the match.

My 2nd match, this one seemed to last forever, I was winded and tired. My opponent came out like a roaring bull, she tried to bull rush me, didn't work, she tried taking me to the ground, didn't work, I took her backwards w/ a modified osoto gari, only got 1/2 a point though, so I had to choke her till she tapped out, which of course, she did.

Welcome to the Fox7 blog board LambChopSushi... congrats on your gold.

I don't know a "tai toshi" from an "uchi mata"... but you obviously took care of business.

Feel free to make a guess on the Cowboys game on our Crazy for the Cowboys blog. Closest prediction gets a shout-out on my Saturday show.. and I'd really like to say "LambChopSushi" on a sportscast.

Dudes, I brought home the Gold Medal, Nov 24th 2007 at the International Judo Tournament! Woo yeh! I DON'T NEED you TO LIKE ME. ;) If you do, Great, if not, oh well. I'm not an expert at anything, but I can throw a knife pretty dang well!:) Anyone interested in Eschatology?
