We've lived in Peace for so long w/ other countries, ppl forgot what it takes to keep our nation free.

We live day to day doing our own thing, we forgot there are actual nations w/ greed and power hungry rulers who seek to destroy us.

We've become so spoiled in our freedoms, we actually believe we can remain FREE w/out fighting. - Liberals have the masses believing going into Iraq was the wrong thing to do, but in reality, it was a wise move.

The argument is, Iraq did not attack us. - They forgot in 2001, President Bush vowed to take out every terrorist network who threatened our nation. They forgot how Sadam Hussein often chanted death to Americans. They forgot Iraq had some of the staunchest terrorist networks who seek to kill us.

Liberal media brain washed the masses that our President invaded a country for oil, and IDIOTS everywhere believed them.

Whether you choose to believe or not believe, Hussein was one of our biggest enemies. - President Bush did what any wise leader would do to protect his country. - He is not a retard or a moron, he had the back bone to do what needed to be done to protect our nation from more attacks. - And we have not been attacked since 911.

I'm convinced the President elect will sell us to the highest bidder. - Let's hope he proves me wrong!

When you have ties w/ American haters such as Pfleger, Ayers, Farrakhan and Jeremiah Wright, it really is hard to believe you actually love The United States of America.

Why does everyone keep forgetting that Hussein was constantly violating the terms of the treaty that ended the first Gulf War?

...and let's not forget the fact that Saddam used WMD's and killed helpless people, looked the other way while his lunatic sons murdered, raped and pillaged, and in general was a low-life punk.

"President Bush vowed to take out every terrorist network who threatened our nation."- guess what, it didn't happen! By invading Iraq we lost focus on Afghanistan.

cbfan, the democrats lost their focus on the war with terror. The democrats decided to play politics and divided the country on the war with terror. The democrats lost their will to win the war on terror.

People kind of forget that by handling Quaddafiah in Libya with stern measures, he finally backed off of his renegade ways and joined the community of nations as a partner rather than an adversary.

OUR governemnt would rather our men and women die as the "fair fighting" mantra has invaded this society as you can tell by the people who think the way to TRUE JUSTICE is via revenge instead of striving to make TRUE JUSTICE the only way we go.

I am in total agreement with you LambChop. i believe going into Iraq was 100% necessary. Sadam was working overtime to destabilize the region, and already showed us his hand when he invaded Kuwait. he was harboring terrorist, funding terrorist, and working on WMD's. The mainstream media has LIED about all this in order to get their political darlings elected.

We are now being laughed at by all the bad guys, as they can see us opening ourselves up to another attack.

Oh, but the French now love us. People, what France thinks does not matter! they have never shown leadership in the international community, and have not won a war since Napoleon. Their country is in the death grip of Islam. Paris has burned so many times now it isn't even being reported anymore. Is that where you want to go? Really?

If we didn't go into Iraq, Iraq could have come to us. Along with several other terrorist nations.

We haven't forgotten or lost focus on Afghanistan. We have troops there and have had troops there all along. Some of the worse battles are fought there. Just because your precious biased media isn't reporting on it daily doesn't mean we're not there, or not doing anything there.

Fifteen of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers were Saudi and ZERO were Iraqi. And none of them were trained in Iraq- give me a break.

cbfan, you talk like your quite the expert.

Try rebutting the Council on Foreign Relations, a non-partisan and independent organization that studies these matters:

http://www.cfr.org/publication/9513/

here they offer a wealth of facts surrounding the dangers Saddam posed to us, and to our allies, and others in the region.

If your getting your "news" from snippets on NPR, PBS, CNN, ABC, CBS or NBC, you need to switch the channel every once in a while. Try some non-NPR radio. Check out some of the alternative news sources available on the net. Read everything: liberal, conservative, and moderate. Especially read what our enemies are saying out there. It is not hard to find.

Seems to me we FOUND the WMD in Iraq. They were named Sadam, and his two sons. If these (so called) men weren't weapons of mass destruction in and of themselves, I don't know what is a WMD. How many people did they need to murder before you bleeding hearts would decide their deaths would be best for the world???

Texas guy, straight from the website you offered:

Was Saddam involved in the September 11 attacks?
There is no hard evidence linking Saddam to the attacks, and Iraq denies involvement. Many commentators have noted that Baghdad failed to express sympathy for the United States after the attacks.
Does Iraq have ties with al-Qaeda?
The Bush administration insists that hatred of America has driven the two closer together, although many experts say there’s no solid proof of such links and argue that the Islamist al-Qaeda and Saddam’s secular dictatorship would be unlikely allies.

And for your info, I typically watch FOX and CNN. I try to stay balanced, but thanks for playing.

Jerr, After 9/11 I, like most, were mad as hell. And I was for getting all the bad guys. I wanted to start with Saudi Arabia. I wasn't for an invasion; I wanted air strikes. I wanted to blow up everything. And tell them this was just a warning, and the next time nothing would be left. Then we could move on to Syria and do the same thing, and so on.

As it stands now, the war has caused our deficit to sky rocket, and the bad guys are still plotting.
