I was a teenager during the turbulent Vietnam era. We cleaned up on Ecology Day (now Earth Day) campaigned to vote at age 18 (and elected Nixon with our 1st opportunity) listened to some of the best music ever written and for some insane reason allowed it to fade away to the Disco era. We protested against the war, for equal rights and any other worthy cause. Now in my 50's I reflect on my past as it relates to today's world. I try to stay informed on today's events, after raising 3 children and working for over 3/4 of my life, I am now a stay at home Grandma. I log onto various message boards so I can still in some way converse with grownups when I'm desperate for adult conversation. I respect what views others represent, I can honestly say I've changed my position on certain subjects by being open minded to other opinions. I never intend to offend other posters, just hope that by trading our thoughts we can all be better informed.
