In the 1950's, even in the 1960's television may well have been a perfectly fine place for children to find role model, but those days are long gone.
Today why would anyone look to Hollywood for role models, it is beyond me.
While you folks are explaining to your young ones about the sensitive issues this has brought up, please include some discussion of what a role model really is and where one should seek out such role models. Please explain to your children that no one is perfect and that people in their life that they look up to may well let them down. Let your children know that their strength should come from within themselves and from their faith, whatever that faith may be.
Television today is a sad substitute for the real world and should rarely, if ever be allowed to guide our youth.
As always, just my humble opinion.

To blog or not to blog, that is the question. I am a 42 year old, native Texan and a photographer. I have two son's that I adore and a new Granddaughter that has brightened every corner of my world. I enjoy the exchange of opinions here on Fox4 Blogs.
