I have a great idea for adding a possible option to either Sirius or XM Satellite radio but not really sure who to contact first.  I have been unable to get an answer from either place.  Do I go though a third party or what?? I need a starting point. I really belive people would be interested in listening to the content on either satellite services.

Thanks, Linda

How about adding more commercials. Oh wait, its not time to yet. They need to convert everyone over to subscription radio before they do that.

Then they can add comercials just like FM has on it now. Then you will be paying so much a month for the same thing you used to get for free. That is just how it works, just wait and see.

The same thing was done when cable TV came in to play, hide and watch.

You can always count on outspoken to add a positive blend to every post. It must suck being so negative and cynical all the time, yeah?

Linda, I looked on my Sirius account and this link is all I could come up with to perhaps get you headed in the right direction. Good luck!

Sirius has commercials..always has. But not on the music stations...just the yap yap's.

Make sure you document your idea elsewhere and copyright or patent it because they WILL steal it if they like it and shaft ya!

Thank you for all the comments so far. I will heed to all advise.

Outspoken1 has a point! I remember watching video clips online when there was no advertising before the clip. As a virtual assistant I am always looking for a new way to advertise my business, however I do not want to advertise via satellite radio.

Scottytheecomic I will check the link out, thank you so much for the contribution to my post!

Ryngwrayth, you are correct... if I do not document, copyright and/or patent it someone else will capitalize on it.

Have a great day,
Linda

I doubt either one of them will be doing anything before the government makes their decision on the merger.

They both have commercials on non-original content stations and a few other stations. XM has a contract to carry a few Clear Channel stations and CC forced them to keep the commercials in.

A "formal" copyright is not necessary to enforce a copyright, but it sure would help.

Sorry Scotty, as you grow older you will better understand the world in which we live.

I enjoy each and every day and I'm am so happy that I grew up in the time period in which I did. I have really been blessed.

I just miss the days when TV was free (with better programming), radio was free (with less comercials), air and a car windshield wash was free with a tank of gas. We had Service Stations, not gas stations.

Trust me I still enjoy life, but there is a lot of things going on in this world that we need to voice our opinions or they will be taxing our opinions next.

But on a postive note I will say this. Enjoy life for today because it could always get worse. :)

How old do I have to get before I think negatively all the time? I don't want that at all. I will tell you this however, I discharged from the 82nd Airborne in 1974. Let's see, as for changes in todays society, get used to it. I'm not going around sounding like my grandparents, lamenting the way "things used to be." It is called progress - some good and some bad.

Linda, you can "try" writing to their Corporate Presidents respectively and make sure you keep copies for yourself.

Dallas47 is right, but I wouldn't give them the idea. I'd hint around and pique their curiosity.

Thank you Dallas47_Rocks for the idea! All of the comments are greatly appreciated. I am starting on the groud floor in putting this idea together. Writing would give me a better record of conversations instead of phone calls.

Linda, for your own protection DOCUMENT EVERTHING! and I do mean EVERYTHING.This is just so that in case someone comes out of the closet and tries claiming that your idea was actually their idea you have proof that it was yours.

I am thankful for my family and friends. I enjoy hockey, boxing, crafts, attempting golf, and NTN. The holidays are probably my favorite time of the year.
