Without question, this is a sad new day for the American electorate as the Democratic Party has now repeated history and allocated one person's vote to a 1/2 vote similar to the dark days when black Americans were considered to only be 3/5 of a person.  As Jeremiah Wright said post-911, I would have to ask is this our "chickens coming home to roost?"  Is there a conspiracy rooted in race and vindication as opposed to the electoral democratic process cherished by voting Americans?  The DNC has certainly crossed a threshold that clearly disenfranchises American voters, a disenfrancisement no better than the Republican Party and what they perpetrated in 2000, thus, we've lived with the tragic results of George W. Bush and eight years of failed policies and thousands of dead Americans in Iraq, not to mention the thousands coming home with life-long injuries and psychological pain.  In terms of party unity, the DNC abdicated their right to unity when they split the American vote to 1/2, as 1/2 of a vote does not add up to being a 'whole' vote, and it will certainly not add up to the Democratic Party being 'whole' and unified (e.g. Saturday, 5/31/2008, a date to remember in the annals of American history).  One would think that after eight years of living under the failed policies of George Bush, Democratic party unity would have been the least of their challenges, with the clear understanding that an experienced candidate, as compared with a novice, would be necessary in 2008 to defeat the Republican machine of Karl Rove.  The Democratic Party cannot afford the luxury of nominating a candidate that will clearly be defeated in November, with the idea of making history as he's the first Black-American candidate/nominee; he's a Black American candidate, that if nominated, will be challenged by the McCain campaign in so many areas, including experience and the most recent political decision termed "as personal" to resign his church.  My goodness, wake-up America, and realize that Obama has made this "spiritual" decision for political gain, or why wouldn't he have made this decision many years ago prior to his endeavors for the White House?  Anyone in their right "spiritual" mind would have found Jeremiah Wright appalling and outrageous, unless they were members of Trinity Church for political gain at that time as well.  Hillary Clinton must continue to fight for the American electorate and their right to be heard with ALL of their votes counted as ONE WHOLE person.  After all, isn't that where she began her career, fighting for voting rights and especially in the Latino/Hispanic community in Texas?  My immediate and extended family, along with myself, will continue to support HILLARY CLINTON, both with financial support, and if necessary, writing her name in on the November Presidential Ballot in Texas.  If the Democratic Party has any expectation and/or hopes of winning in November, all pledged delegates and superdelegates must really consider all of the risks associated with nominating Barack Obama, as it will NOT constitute a win for the Democratic Party, and will once again give George Bush another term in office!!  This is a SAD new day for the American Electorate!!

Whats truly sad is that you don't understand the process to begin with. What is truly unfair is that both Florida and Michigan chose to ignore the rules and make up their own which resulted in disenfranchised voters in both states.

Florida voters were told their vote wouldn't count. The homeowners taxes being voted on are what brought out a vast majority of those voters, NOT the presidential race. So how do you count the votes of those that didn't own homes or go because they were told repeatedly "your vote won't count"?

In Michigan you had two choices Hillary Clinton or Uncommitted. Who would the average Democrat vote for if the two choices where a known name and Uncommitted which could be anyone- duh!

Both states should have had new elections to give their citizens the chance to have a fair voice, but they didn't. 1/2 a vote is a fair comprimise in a race that wasn't fair to begin with.

Clinton has done a great job at stirring this up for her own personal gain. And she didn't get anywhere. She is succeeding in keeping us divided so we will lose to McCain in November. She will go down as the first woman presidential candidate that split the party and handed the general election to the Repubs.

Go Hillary!

I am rooting for Hillary to further divide the party! Oh, and she isn't even close to being done yet.

If the winner takes the other as VP, it's a sure win for the Dems. Other than that, I don't give Obama much hope.

It's now time to really search our souls and pray that God places the candidate of His choice as President of the United States, and most especially during this critical point and time in history!!
