Nap with an angel

She's sleeping beside me on our bed. I too try to rest but knowing I have to feed her in 30 minutes, I can't seem to fall asleep. I lay here, looking at her and giving thanks. Her little lips move between breaths, her arms spread open like wings. She's finally sleeping on the bed and not ON us like she did the first few weeks. Will she ever sleep in her crib?

The days evaporate between feedings, diapers and naps. I can't find the time to check emails, exercise or call my friends. No pedicures, no hair appointments. I barely find the time to dry my hair. But none of that matters more than this little angel lying on our bed.

Now she's stretching, making sweet noises, her eyes open, but then decide to close again. It's my own eyes that have opened, and nothing looks the same. Having a daughter is the greatest gift I could ever get.

Congrats!! Enjoy those moments while they last! I was in your shoes just 15 months ago and now my first is tearing around the house getting into cabinets! There isn't a day goes by I don't wish his first months could've lasted longer!! Enjoy her, and try to take care of yourself a little! :)

She's a real beauty. I think she looks like her daddy. I have two adult daughters and loved raising girls. I made their little dresses and kept their hair long. They still laugh about how I made sure that they were very girly. I'm going to have a grand-daughter in May. I've already started sewing for her. You are really going to have fun with your beautiful little girl.

Babies are a breath of joy*S* Ya'll are bringing back memories of when mine arrived. You count their fingers and toes and touch their nose. You breathe in the scent of them, and laugh when they smile.

You sure took me back to those precious moments in a mother's life when she just marvels at her new little bundle of joy. The touch, the smell...her heart bursting with love for her child. It's a bond like no other. Without hesitation, she would give up her life protecting her child.

She is adorable!! Congrats to the proud parents... I have 4 kids ages 2,3, 5, and 11 and I will never forget how it felt to hold my babies for the first time. It is a feeling unlike any other. I would have to say hearing your kids say I love you mommy for the first time is the most precious thing a mother will ever hear..God bless you and your family Maria. I pray he keeps watch over your little one and she grows to be a woman of God..

OMG~~!!! I had forgotten about how small they are! I never wanted to put mine down. Not even for a moment! My baby was the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me! Just to think, that was almost 15yrs. ago! Congrats Maria! You're gonna love every minute of this!!

Hola! After working at FOX4 for 5 years, I decided to leave to stay at home with my new baby girl, Ysabel. I miss everyone but hope to stay in touch this way :)
