Like to take the time now to congratulate this guy as something like this isn't easy to cope with, but when your life is at steak it makes that decision that much more easier. He did what he had to do and therefore licensed to do so if presented in a life threatning situation. That is why I encourage everyone out there to get a CHL so that legally you can carry a loaded concealed handgun and hopefully, just hopefully you will never have to use it but if you do, you know what to do in order to stay alive and neutralize the threat.

Criminals will never learn will they? Is if they keep getting dumber and dumber, you'd think crime would decrease after your average American Citizen is fighting back. Well aparently not for this poor pathetic selfish 17 year old who suffered major gun shot wounds to the head as he attempted to rob a guy while walking his dog. Sad to say because of his age and a bad image to this boys parents, he was poorly raised and its more than obvious he got what he deserved. That is why I took my CHL class 2 weeks ago because of scum bags like this kid and other idiots walking this earth that expect things for free by intimidation and threats. The CHL class is 10 hours and you can complete it within a day or two, however you chose but it comes in handy to know the law and armed. It came in good use for this guy and I commend him on his good job to think fast and not hesitate in a situation such as that. He still has his life and was licensed to carry a gun, good for him and he did the right thing by defending himself with the same method the kid tried.

With the holiday approaching and all, it is clear there are several people out there with bad intentions and more than ever crime will indeed get worse needless to say. I feel no pitty for this kid, wrong of me? Probably but I look at it as my life or his? Very sad to know he is only 17, lesson learned as the kid is alive and at I believe Parkland Hospital. I'm sure he'll think next time before doing something dumb like he attempted, he's lucky he is alive to be honest. Hopefully this sends a clear message that your normal typical law abiding Citizen will not put up with these kinds of criminal acts, we will fend for ourselves and criminal beware, with actions are consequences for some so think twice before committing a crime, it might cost you your life...

Good morning/afternoon to my fellow Fox4news bloggers. It has been a while since I have posted anything or a comment, I have been here but not made my presence known until just recently. I know this is a great place to come and have your voice heard or even have a great debate/argument on blogs of ones opinions on things going on. Since no one else will blog or even speak about it as it may not be of much importance to many other than the short 1 minute video that Melissa Cutler reported then I feel the need to voice my opinion and give my 2 cents on the declined name change to Caesar Chavez Boulevard.

I will keep it short and to the point as I hate to read long and boring blogs. The Dallas City Council has declined the name change to Caesar Chavez Boulevard as many of you may know by now. Even though after conducting a survey for recommendations of a name change and I quote Melissa Cutler by saying "an overwhelming favor to Caesar Chavez Boulevard". Despite all of that, the polls and peoples voices the Dallas City Council yet takes a new direction as some may say and goes with another name and decline the request and simply answers back to the people who voted for the name change to Caesar with...we will look into it and possibly consider another street. As if the name change to Caesar Chavez is not good enough, that's reading between the lines and the message I'm getting from their reply. In the first place why would you conduct a survey and not go with the obvious majority vote? It's kind of like going on the show who wants to be a millionaire and asking the audience for your help and polls show that over 90% went with answer A and your dumb @ss chooses B instead. Sorry and excuse the language, this is just how I feel and of course its much frustration with the outcome of this as you can tell.

So please I welcome any feedback/comments on how you feel on this issue. I invite anything from positive to negative on this topic, want to know and please exhaust anything and everything.  

BAD, like real bad somebody is always hatin, but its gone too far now. I just found out there is a website called www.ruinromo.com  Its soo stupid that its funny and hilarious. The website was made so that you could download and print a picture of Jessica Simpson with her eyes already cut out. I would like to say it originated from Carolina, but I'm not sure. Just wondering if anyone else here has heard about this and where it all began?

Leave Roy Williams alone, he's not real fast but he is a good player. A major weapon we could use and now its lost. I think that penalty should be in the same class as a face mask, now he's suspended and we are losing a defensive weapon now because of this penalty that was made after him. In college, he always got away with it and was never disciplined for it, so he's used to doing it. He's learning now and now understands not to do it, but face masks penaltys still happen doesn't it? And do they get suspended...NOPE.

It will be real important to especially beat Carolina, I would love that and Washington. If we do, then we get home field advantage all throughout the play-offs I believe. If wrong, please correct me. In order to beat these next two opponets, we need to play good in the first half so that in the second half we are not fightning to come back. We need to lay off on soo many penalties, Romo needs to stop forcing plays and resulting in interceptons. Need to snap the ball before time expires and no offsides on either offense or defense side. If that can accomplish all of that, Carolina and Washington shouldn't be a match, or maybe Washington but we should be able to beat these next two opponets. Dallas Cowboys need to come out strong on Saturday to beat down Carolina and crush every Carolina's fans heart, so that they leave the stadium upset over the loss to them boys and that there little idea of bringing a picture of Jessica was no good and worthless. So that Romo smiles at the end to every Carolina fan out there, and I hope T.O. shows off and embarrasses that team. There little idea of bringing a picture of Jessica wasn't enough to beat them, that there team(Carolina) needed alot more then just a silly picture, they need skills and good players. Sounds harsh, but i'm just a bit PO over this situation and this wack site.

Big Tuna, Bill Parcells has went to Miami...LOL, ok not a suprise. The only reason Bill retired was because no one wanted him at that time, he was actually hoping to coach another team other than the Cowboys. Since no one picked him up, he went into retirement. Now that the Dolphins are hurtin and has only won one game, they are desperate and in need of a coach. Can Bill Parcells turn this Miami team around?

Friday, 12/7 CompUSA Corporate in Addison TX released information within and to the public in a public announcement that CompUSA is going out of business and or sold if possible. Carlos Slim, the richest man in the world who currently own's CompUSA did indeed try and save CompUSA and turn it around. With BestBuy and Circuit City as a big competitor, it was a long and hard fought battle. In May, closing a total of 126 stores in a 3 month period made that mission that much harder. It only seemed CompUSA's fate would eventually come to this. With 2 stores locally, Plano and Frisco and 11 stores in the state of Texas coming out to a total of 102 operating stores nationwide, the changes and liquidation process will be seen shortly after this Christmas. 

CEO Roman Ross did state that they will try and salvage TechPro and CompUSA.com as long as possible, they will also try and sell the profitable stores. Some stores will close faster than others based on sales and if you purchase anything from CompUSA.com you have an extended return policy until the begining of January if you made a online purchase on or after 11/22. There will be sales going on thru Christmas, please make sure you read the fine print as far as the return policy goes, return policy will vary and could state ALL SALES ARE FINAL due to liquidating stores. CompUSA.com will continue to run its online store as long as possible and will take months to finalize everything and close down completely. If sold, some stores could possibly change their names. Eventually this process shouldn't surpass the month of February and CompUSA will be closed for good.

Hello and good afternoon to everyone!

I just want to say first, that FOX4 is a great place to read up on news and blog. You can get alot of info on breaking news, weather, sports...etc. Its all here, well todays blog is to alert everyone that will be shopping for the holidays, this Christmas Holiday coming up to be careful. Which of course is common sense, but no one ever thinks about falling victim to thugs and low lifes that want the easy way out.

It was yesterday while I was at work when I first sent a text to my best friend to come over and watch the Cowboy game since I just got a 50 inch plasma TV in the living room. And he replied yes and that he would bring his girl, girlfriend along too. Well it was just before 3pm yesterday, which is still sunny and in broad day light that his girlfriend fell victim to 2 wanna be thugs. She works at Wachovia and there was a meeting at the Marriot, she had her purse in the meeting and took a break to take it back to the car. Keep in mind of the time, this took place at 3pm in BROAD DAYLIGHT. You have got to be kidding right? Well no, it is amazing how far crooks will go to rob someone.

I always read about a ring of purse snatchings, atm thefts, gas station hold up's, people breaking into houses, car jacking and the list goes on and on. Thats sad, real sad. and if you think about....ITS SCARY. The crime rate has really gone up, and is insanely crazy I think. I was car jacked when I was 16 from a group of guys who I thought were my friends. I had a concussion and dropped off at home by a police officer while my parents stood outside waiting for me. Lucky for me, I am alive. Moral of the story is, anyone can fall victim to crimes such as these. I want to wish everyone a happy and SAFE holiday and just be careful out there, especially women with purses as it seems that is one of top things to steal or rob. Update on my best friends girlfriend: She's scared of course, they did get physical but she was not injured. She did comply with their demands, she's in total shock and has been shaking for quite a while now. She should be fine, I hope and my prayers go out to her and wish her the best in this stressful time.

Once again America's team(Cowboys 11-1) has done it again, and as far as Brett Favre he left yesterday 0-9 at the Texas Stadium. Too bad that we could not play him the entire game as we finally had a worthy opponet, Aaron their back-up qb. Yesterdays game was a wake up call for Favre and it would appear that we might be sending Brett into early retirement. As said before, Packers have not had a worthy opponet to play until yesterday.

Well I am LMAO, harsh words there buddy. Plow toys did do it, and they plowed all over the fudge packers. Brett didn't play but a quater and a half, no way to excute the clock there, now is there? Was the other way around, we slaughtered them. No, its Cowboys by 10 and that it also what I predicted.

We definitely shut the critics up on ESPN that all thought Greenbay was the better team. We dominated the first half and the whole game. Cowboys do indeed have a heart, this was a big game that was not available to watch if you were not in Dallas or Wisconsin. So to make it interesting, we had to make it look like it was a close game and until finally the cheesehead spirit was just building up, we smashed it right back down like the twin towers. Then we stopped messing around and we had to put them out.

When Tony Romo and the Cowboys, the rookie quaterback took on the great Brett Favre of the Packers and gave them their second loss of the season and 9th at Texas Stadium. And to imagine all those cheeseheads that flew or drove down here, and too send them back home disappointed. What did you expect? 38 year old quaterback, he was bound to wake up and realize retirment. Then to disgrace us more, you put in a back up qb, good....BUT NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Come and go, complain and hate to see other people do better than yourself. So you talk crap over the internet and feel all big and bad, you could never come up to me and tell me. So you create online profiles with no pics or bio, talk crap to minorites over the internet and feel like a man. So you fuss & groan, try and figure out why I have had more success then you at the age of 21 then you have had in a life time. So to make a excuse, you call me a drug dealer, rely on WIC and etc because my wheels cost more then your car. But in truth you are just envious of me, and hatin on one's success will never get you anywhere. Welcome ladies and gentlemen, I had to come up with a title that would be catchy and draw in alot of people to come in. Many of you really don't know me or if you have seen my blogs you just simply look away and don't bother to comment. And I knew putting Viva Mexico would bring many bloggers in as many of you that hear Mexico are disgusted by hearing it and wouldn't allow it here in Fox4. Well thats not the case, I could care less about Mexico. I am not from there, though my ancestors are. I was born here just like you, with insurance and no money owed to the hospital. So just to recap, the title was only to lure you daily bloggers in and no i'm not representing Mexico or for the illegal immigration.

Immigration, wow...now that is a touchy subject that I prefer not to get into. However I do agree you should come to this country legally, as I am not pleased for paying for someones education or medical bills if you are not a law abiding citizen. Then again, God can only judge me so I will not pass judgement on others or say who and who can not come into this country. So I would prefer to not mess with this subject or issue, this blog was not posted to speak about immigration or viva Mexico, I am all for the US. However, a comment made by moankie82 which I quote:

Now this statement also comes to mind as well. Wheter residents from Farmers Branch see otherwise, it is owned property of theirs and I do believe they should do whatever they like as long as it is within their property. And to top it off, it is not like Farmers Branch is close to looking like South Lake or Grapevine. I do not think highly of Farmes Branch, it is not like I have ever said I would like to live there. So to negatively affect a property, well the whole neighborhood isn't all that great so it wouldn't make a difference. I mean whats next? Is there only going to be limited colors on cars, I would hate to see those same people at car shows. They would be soo against car shows, stating they do not agree with the doors that go up vertically. It makes my car look cheap and I feel offended or two tone paint jobs, mixed paint colors. Rims that cost more than there rides, are they going to limit the size of rims because these same people who are against sagging believe it should be banned and against the law. Well I do not agree with sagging, but I do not believe it should be banned. They bought those jeans, they own and is in their posession and they can do whatever they like with it. Same goes for houses, cars, etc. This is the United States of America, home of the free and brave. We have soldiers fightning outside our gates for our freedom while people on the inside are fightning eachother over a dispute over their choice in color preference. I think that is stupid, whomever made that quote did it with very little thought and not soo inteligent. This my opinion, I am pretty sure it will vary within this blog. And who is to say or judge one's house, or say because you have a green colored house you are a illegal immigrant. Listen to what you are saying, not everyone with the colors on their house that you disagree with is illegal. Farmers Branch, you are not South Lake or Grapevine, stop complaining.

Hanna Mack, 6 years old and she seemed soo adorable and sweet. And for me to read about this story posted on Fox 4 is devastating, such a harsh and inhumane thing to do no matter under any circumstance. No word could describe what I am feeling right now. Such a shame I say, for Shaun Earl Arender to commit a crime like this just disgusts me. To rape and hang a 6 year old girl, what is wrong with him. Not even God himself could forgive such a sin. My daughters and sister are soo gorgeous to me that I couldn't imagine something like this to happen to anyone of them. That would tear me apart, I would go insane and vengence would cloud my judgement.

I just hope that his punishment is long and hard, life in prison or the death penalty. An eye for a eye, I would take the law into my hands but then I would just lower myself down to his sick and horrible ways. This little girl just reminds me soo much of my sister, I could sit here and say I feel the pain her parents are going through but in truth i'm not in that situation and couldn't imagine the pain caused. What has the world come to when people with sick minds do these kind of crimes? Who could actually do something like this? This has totally shocked me, it is scary to know there are people out there like this. My heart and prayers goes out to this family during this hard time, may justice be have no mercy on evil.

Dam, what the hell, the dude confessed and pleaded guilty to that and yet he still receives support. Wow, amazed I must say. At first, I gave Vick the benefit of the doubt and didn't jump to any conclusions and actually thought he was not apart that. Well sadly enough he was and therefore conseqiently not able to play for this season along with prison time. Which should set an example for all others, famous or not. Harsh crimes should have harsh punishments. This guy was one of the few to play for the NFL, have a pay check with alot of zero's, we're talking millions and yet that was not enough to find other hobbies that weren't illegal or animal cruelty involved. Come on now!!!

But I'm not here necessarily to talk down about Vick as he did apologize and now being punished. Whoppie, look I now the dude is black and she must hate that a black star as Vick is now on trial and now she feels as she must defend him with excuses such as: Well he lived down in the south, raised that way and pretty sure some other bogas excuses. That is a lame excuse, i'm sorry if anyone takes this offensive but i'm just speaking the truth. If vick had been another race, I know for sure she wouldn't voice her opinion or back him up.

So has anyone seen the movie War?

The one with Jet Li & Jason Statham. I've been wanting to go and see that movie for quite sometime now and have not had the chance too. Another reason why I haven't made a huge effort to go and see it is because I'm a real big fan of Jet Li and in this movie he plays a bad guy if i'm not mistaken. Jet Li hasn't been a bad guy since Lethal Weapon 4 that I can recall from. Not too much of a fan of Jason Statham, I mean Crank wasn't all that good along with Transporter. I was kinda hoping it would be the other way around and he end up being the bad guy.

So please if anyone has seen this movie please advise if it actually worth going to see or waiting for it to come out on DVD.  Is it worth just watching once? More than once? Wouldn't recommend it? Its an awesome movie? What, please share your opinions about this movie if you have indeed seen this movie. Oh yeah, by the way can not wait until the next Harold and Kumar movie to come out.

Dress Code

      You are advised to come to work dressed according to your salary.

     Sick Days

      We will no longer accept a doctor's statement as proof of sickness.

      If you are able to go to the doctor, you are able to come to work.



      Personal Days

      Each employee will receive 104 personal days a year.  They are

      called Saturdays and Sundays.



      Bereavement Leave

     This is no excuse for missing work.  There is nothing you can do

     for dead friends, relatives or co-workers.  Every effort should be made

     to have non-employees attend to the funeral arrangements.  In rare

     cases where employee involvement is necessary, the funeral should

     be scheduled in the later afternoon.  We will be glad to allow you to

     work through your lunch hour and subsequently leave one hour

     early.



      Bathroom Breaks

      Entirely too much time is being spent in the toilet.  There is now

      a strict three-minute time limit in the stalls.  At the end of three

      minutes, an alarm will sound, the toilet paper roll will retract,

      the stall door will open, and a picture will be taken.  After your

      second offense, your picture will be posted on the company bulletin board

      under the "Chronic Offenders" category.  Anyone caught smiling in

      the picture will be sectioned under the company's mental health

      policy.



     Lunch Break

     Skinny people get 30 minutes for lunch as they need to eat more,

     so that they can look healthy.  Normal size people get 15 minutes for

     lunch to get a balanced meal to maintain their average figure.

     Chubby people get 5 minutes for lunch, because that's all the time

     needed to drink a Slim-Fast.
