Cowboys defensive back Adam Jones should be upset at the lastest comment by radio talk show host Don imus. Here's Imus... just a little more than a year removed from a racial comment he made about the Rutgers Women's basketball team (that cost him his job)... and he's talking about a man he doesn't even know.  Imus asked Warner Wolf what color Jones is after wolf had talked about how many times jones had been arrested.  "African-American", Wolf replied. And Imus then said "well, there you go." He later said he was defending jones and other African-American men who Imus said are arrested for nothing all the time.  Should Adam Jones be mad at Imus? Or believe that Imus was taking up for him?

I think we should be more upset with the two black thugs that went to Garland to kill "rich white folks" and ended up killing 2 white people in cold blood for $2 and an old car. Is this racism thing a one way street?

If the roles were reversed this would be considered a hate crime and your worried about something a radio host might have meant to say. Give me a break!

This world is so screwed up.

I am not a fan of Adam Jones, however there is no excuse for Don Imus at all. He has no business on the air. I was impressed with how Mr Jones responded. Sometime praying for someone is the best thing you can do.

I totally agree DJrfan, but the media tries to stir the pot on racism all the time, on some stupid little comment made by a stupid radio host that they can't even prove for sure, how he meant it.

This contributes to more serious things like hate crimes. Can't we just turn the other cheek somtimes and let a stupid comment be just that.

Yes, Imus is an idiot, as are a lot of shock jocks. But the black community is out to silence this guy no matter what. It is a vendetta. Funny how they do this while ignoring the super racist Al Sharptongue and his brother in a different lord, Jesse Jackass. Those two hate mogerers and racists are free to espuse with immunity.

Adam Jones and Don Imus have one thing in common; they both are developing a reputation as repeat offenders (one as a criminal and one as a racist). It appears to me that both may have only one more chance.

cb, nothing will be done to Imus.

As for Adam Jones, I hope he is very successful with the Cowboys this year. I hope the commish allows him to play. I believe he merits another shot at it.

We have Cultural Diversity, Racial Sensitivity and all the other things designed to help us get along. When did everyone get so sensitive? Maybe we all just need thicker skin, no matter what the color. Maybe turn the other cheek.

People have always said things to others designed to push there buttons or get there goat so to speak. It has been going on for years. Think about when you were in school, it happened almost daily. Once a person found out what bothered you the most, was the tactic that they used on you. For example, if someone called you a name and you got mad about it, then you might as well get used to it. That is just the way it is, I’m not saying it is right, just saying that’s the way it is. School kids are cruel to each other. In most cases the best way to handle the name calling was to just ignore it or laugh it off. It wasn’t any fun if they realized it didn’t bother you.

My point, if you haven’t figured it out yet, is simple. Stop being so sensitive! Life is too short to waste time trying to figure out if you should be offended by what some stupid radio host might have said. Don’t acknowledge them, they feed on that.

Just food for thought.....

Outspoken you are absolutely correct in what you wrote, I said the same thing when those men hung my great grandfather in front of his family and got off in court you know how it was back then, it was a free for all. Yeah you are right the world is screwed up but the shoe has been on the other foot but the only difference was that it was O.K. then. I will tell you this, I hope they fry those bastards for killing those MEN (not rich white people) but MEN. I have no remorse for no race when it comes to a senseless crime like this but I will say certain people out of race that decide to act an ass does not in no way shape or form discredits me or my family because acting an ass is and individual act. I respect and have love for everybody not just one race and this was a hate crime done by two very disrespectful dark minded individuals. It will forever be a race problem in this world, thats news but I love people regardless of some bad apples hell If I got to know you I would probably like you too because at the end of the day these are just yours and my opinion.

DON IMUS is a old fart, who gives a damn what he says any way I've been called worse in public and I did not fight nor kill nor throw the race card. Different strokes for different folks I was not as easily offended by ignorance anyway. Look at Imus I mean seriously can he talk. This is what he was hired for 30 years ago, it is the shock value he says what the average person is afraid to say. This world is already crazy let the man talk he has for thirty years. Ignorance is a choice, thinking is a process I choose to think before I become ignorant. There are some Damn good white people in this world and there are some Damn good Black people in this world lets not let the bad ones cloud our judgment on the good ones please we have come so far but yet we still have far to go.

True, we have white trash and black trash.

The majority of white and black people have high morals and compassion for each other.

Thugs and criminals come in both colors too, the good news is they are still a small percent of the population.

Don Imus is nothing but a jerk. A RICH jerk but a jerk nonetheless.

Always has been -- always will be

So why the surprise?

If it was not for the media I would not know about this latest flap because I sure don't listen to him.

And I hope he turns out to be the NFL's version of Josh Hamilton
