My sister introduced me to the game of Freecell when Windows came out. At first I hated it, but after playing for awhile, I grew to love it. Back in the 90's I decided I wanted to play all 32000 layouts of the game so I put together a speadsheet to track my progess. After a couple of years starting with the first game, I won them all except 11982 which I found out there is no solution too.

When XP came out, they increased the number of layouts to 1,000,000. I started with game 1 again and after 2 years, I played game 32000. In case you are wondering, I do this when I am watching TV at night. I cannot just sit still and watch TV, my hands have to be busy.

I know, I know, I need help.

Actually I used to need help for this too. After my car wreck when I was stuck in a bed for 5 months, I decided to get through all of the games in order because daytime TV was so horrible. I think I got to like 3,000 before I was able to get around and focus on other things again.

Oh man, oh man....

You and I sound like we have the SAME issues!!

Mine - is plain old Solitaire. I put it on Vegas mode - and untimed. I try to see how much money I can earn and I do NOT let myself re-start just when I lose (it puts you into the negative when you lose) - and the most I have made it up to is $2,008.

I don't keep a spreadsheet, though - I just take a picture of the score and save it to my computer so I will know if I am getting close to beating it.

The only thing - Windows games don't save (at least Solitaire doesn't) - so every new day - is a new Solitaire. And - I am so hard headed - I think that EVERY game is winnable - if I don't win it -then I must have missed something.

Well - I will say this - I am glad I am not alone in my OCD with plain old windows games. I, too, do it while the TV is on.
